After 14hrs of bus trip, I finally arrived at my hotel by 1.15am (2.15am in Naija). It's an experience worth having but it's about the worst road trip I've ever had.
From Abidjan to the Ghanaian border was a beautiful journey of 4hrs. But from the Ghanaian border to Accra was about the worst road trip I've ever had. A journey of more than 10hrs...
Having experienced the Ivory Coast, it seems to me that Ghana and Nigeria are competing with each other in disorganization and dirtiness. The further we got in Ghana, the worse the roads became and the more I felt like I was in Nigeria...🙈🙊
And I began to see again what I never saw for once in Ivory Coast namely, the ubiquitous roadblocks like in Naija.

Surprisingly, this Catholic University was established same year as the Catholic Institute of West Africa (CIWA), PH. Today, these flags here (11 in number) represent the different countries where this University has campuses and branches... Compare that with what's become of CIWA...

Just arrived in Abidjan, the capital of Côte d'Ivoire, as the first stop of my West African journey. Just admiring the orderliness at the airport and the beauty of the road, decorated with flowers, leading into and out of the airport, and unconsciously comparing it with where I flew in from. And it occurred to me: *FIRST IMPRESSION REALLY MATTERS!*
