THUS SAYS THE LORD JESUS CHRIST ON FRIDAY,
November 19, 2021, 6am at Chevy View Estate, Lekki, Lagos:

ALL THINGS DERIVES THEIR VALUE FROM ME. I AM INDEED THE ESSENCE OF LIFE. CREATION REVOLVES AROUND ME; I SUSTAIN THE UNIVERSE. I AM THE BEGINNING, I AM THE END. I EXIST OUT OF TIME, YET I CONTROL TIMES AND SEASONS. AND I LOVE MEN, I LOVE MANKIND; MY MIND IS FULL OF MEN. AND FOR YOU MY SONS AND DAUGHTERS, YOU ARE MY PRIORITY:

I inhabit the Praises of Israel. I am your Source. (Laughter) All things derive their Value from Me. I am indeed the Essence of Life. Creation revolves around Me; I sustain the Universe. I am the beginning, I am the End. I exist out of time, yet I control Times and Seasons. And I Love men, I Love Mankind; My Mind is full of men. And for you My sons and daughters, you are My priority. (Laughter) The wisdom of men will fail them but those that trust in My Wisdom shall flourish. This is the time to use the Supernatural to solve natural issues. Men are rising in their numbers! (Laughter) My Glory shall cover the Earth as water covers the sea. Men shall seek after Me. Stony hearts are melted to hearts of flesh. Men and women are seeking after Me in their numbers because the time is short. Did the Word not say in the days of His Power the People shall be willing? These are the days of My Power and men and women are willing because this is the time for the next Move, for the Great Move; the Greatest that had never been seen or known in History. This is the Time. Don't sleep in Harvest, it is Harvest Time. He that sleeps in Harvest, is a son that causes shame. You are not such sons! So don't sleep in Harvest! Wake up, for now is the time to do that which I have commissioned you to do, and I am with you always, (Laughter) even to the close of the Age. I am for you, I am on your side, says the Lord Most High.

RETRIBUTION FOR IMPENITENCE
TEXT: Jeremiah 13:1-14

KEY VERSE:
“This evil people, which refuse to hear my words, which walking in the imagination of their heart, and walk after other gods, to serve them, and to worship them, shall even be as this girdle, which is good for nothing.” - (Jeremiah 13:10 KJV)

One of the most effective tools in teaching is the use of aids. This involves the use of visual, audio, audio-visual or life samples that learners can easily relate with and that can help drive the lesson home to the learners and help them understand and retain the knowledge and experience gained for a long time.

In the text, Jeremiah was commanded to take a linen girdle to River Euphrates and hide it there. When later he was instructed to go and retrieve it, the girdle had become marred and “good for nothing”. He was then commanded to go and prophesy to the people that just as the girdle had become good for nothing and useless, so shall they be when God would bring His judgment upon them for their idol worship and disobedience.

The unfortunate story of Israel’s continual backslidings, which started in the wilderness had made them unable to fulfil God’s destiny for them. In our study and in many other instances, one would see God’s displeasure at their conduct and obstinacy. It is for the benefit of man that he fears God and keeps His commandments. Every member of Christ’s Church ought to, by benefit of hindsight, learn from Israel’s mistakes and avoid all those pitfalls that crippled their walk with God.

The expectancy of an endless joy in Christ’s everlasting kingdom must keep the believer alive and vigilant against anything that may soil his garment of righteousness. Only then will he be counted worthy to walk with Christ in white (Revelation 3:4).

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Judgment inevitably comes when the sinner fails to repent.

A LITTLE COMPROMISE
TEXT: 2 Kings 18:13-25

KEY VERSE:
“At that time did Hezekiah cut off the gold from the doors of the temple of the LORD, and from the pillars which Hezekiah king of Judah had overlaid, and gave it to the king of Assyria.” - (2 Kings 18:16 KJV)

Throughout his administration, Abraham Lincoln was a president who knew he was not perfect, but never resolved to compromise his integrity. So strong was this resolve that he once said, “I desire so to conduct the affairs of this administration that if at the end, when I come to lay down the reins of power, I have lost every other friend on earth, I shall at least have one friend left, and that friend shall be down inside of me”.

From the text, Hezekiah tried to placate the king of Assyria who came to invade the fenced cities of Judah. Instead of his usual approach of relying on the Lord and confronting the enemy, Hezekiah, in fear, settled for negotiation. In a desperate attempt to meet the conditions of peace, he sent to the king of Assyria all the silver found in the house of the Lord and the king’s treasury. Yet, the king of Assyria still came with a large army to invade Jerusalem. The emissaries sent to Judah by the enemy king did not acknowledge whatever was sent by Hezekiah; they instead boasted about the military might of their king and made irreverent remarks about God and His people.

After fourteen years on the throne, Hezekiah forsook his former approach of relying only on God to defend the nation in times of war. He appeared to have accepted a little compromise by negotiating his way out of the predicament. He forgot that the enemy would hunt for the precious soul and would not settle for any gifts.

As believers, we must understand that the devil does not honour agreements. He cannot be trusted to stand by his promises. We must therefore avoid any form of compromise through negotiation with the devil or his cohorts. We must not return to the world or to

LIMITED POWER OF GREAT MEN
TEXT: Ezekiel 17:1-10

KEY VERSE:
“Say thou, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Shall it prosper? shall he not pull up the roots thereof, and cut off the fruit thereof, that it wither? it shall wither in all the leaves of her spring, even without great power or many people to pluck it up by the roots thereof.” - (Ezekiel 17:9 KJV)

Human history has shown how great men have lived and acted as if they were all in all. They possess, prosper and spread their empires as if no one could question or stop them.

This parable paints the picture of some of the powerful kingdoms that took Judah in captivity but forgot that God was only using them as instruments to punish the Jewish nation. They behaved as if their power and skill had given them the victory over God’s people. They were deceived by their speedy victory, prosperity and success which brought them great influence and fame! In their privileged position and power, they oppressed, afflicted and tortured their subjects. Their manner of rulership was devoid of honour and reverence for God.

God is Master and King over all. He controls and reigns over the whole universe, hence men should tread in awe, fear and reverence irrespective of whom or what they are. He gives all the privileges, prosperity and success that we have. Thus, we must always recognise this so that we can remain humble.

When man behaves and acts as if there is no God over the universe, He shows up in wrath, judgment and punishment. The only guarantee of continual privileges, prosperity and happiness is to acknowledge God and give Him the first place in our hearts. We should honour and reverence Him always and make Him the Lord of our lives.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: He who owns and gives the privileges, prosperity and power can take it away by the wind.

STOP TALEBEARING
*TEXT:* LEVITICUS 19:14-22.

Leviticus 19:14-22
[14]Thou shalt not curse the deaf, nor put a stumblingblock before the blind, but shalt fear thy God: I am the LORD.
[15]Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment: thou shalt not respect the person of the poor, nor honour the person of the mighty: but in righteousness shalt thou judge thy neighbour.
[16]Thou shalt not go up and down as a talebearer among thy people: neither shalt thou stand against the blood of thy neighbour: I am the LORD.
[17]Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart: thou shalt in any wise rebuke thy neighbour, and not suffer sin upon him.
[18]Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the LORD.
[19]Ye shall keep my statutes. Thou shalt not let thy cattle gender with a diverse kind: thou shalt not sow thy field with mingled seed: neither shall a garment mingled of linen and woollen come upon thee.
[20]And whosoever lieth carnally with a woman, that is a bondmaid, betrothed to an husband, and not at all redeemed, nor freedom given her; she shall be scourged; they shall not be put to death, because she was not free.
[21]And he shall bring his trespass offering unto the LORD, unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, even a ram for a trespass offering.
[22]And the priest shall make an atonement for him with the ram of the trespass offering before the LORD for his sin which he hath done: and the sin which he hath done shall be forgiven him.

_*🔑KEY VERSE* "Thou shalt not go up and down as a talebearer among the people: neither shalt thou stand against the blood of thy neighbour: I am the LORD" (LEVITICUS 19:16)._

In a play titled "Subtle ways to go to hell," some young Christians dramatized how "common sins" can lead many to eternal damnation. Some of those sins include tale-bearing, anger, malice, envy, faultfinding, murmuring, love for fashion and so on. They were able to show that unlike noticeable sins, like adultery, stealing, fighting, fornication, idol worship, etc., these seemingly unnoticeable sins have done much more harm to the church than obvious ones. Some Christians easily commit them without being conscious of the inherent danger therein.

God instructed Israel not to curse the deaf who could not hear nor put a stumbling block in the way of the blind who could not see. There must be no unrighteousness in judgement, no tale-bearing, no hatred for a neighbour, no grudges but to love one another.

Gossips and talebearing tear families and churches apart because "a whisperer separateth chief friends." Unsanctified hearts are often Satan's vessels of spreading rumours, gossips and talebearing among the brethren. Many so-called believers spend hours discussing people, families and the challenges facing them. Ironically, such people cannot spend good time to pray or study the word of God or to preach to others. The collateral damage caused by talebearing is unquantifiable. Families have been separated and many have left the fellowship of God's people due to this evil which causes misery, distrust and discord.

The Scripture warns of the danger of the misuse of the tongue, calling it "a fire, a world of iniquity... an unruly evil, full of deadly poison" (James 3:6, 8). It follows therefore, that a talebearer or a gossip monger is not a real child of God. Let us use our tongues rather for edification and to comfort others.

Subtle wickedness

1. Doing evil to people by exploiting their ignorance, weakness and frailty v14.
2. Partiality either to the poor and vulnerable or to the rich and the mighty v15. Justice should be done without partiality, after which help or compassion can be manifested. God judged and condemned our sins but showed compassion by making His son to bear the punishment.
3. Promoting or spreading information that is hurting to your brother or sister v16.
4. Preferring judgement to fall on your brother or sister rather than telling them the truth that will make them realize their wrongs and repent v17.
5. Subtle revenge, hidden plans to revenge or bitterness against your neighbour v18.
6. Syncretism; mixing worldliness with godliness; compromising the truth with falsehood and carnality with spirituality v19. (Please note that separation is what the verse intend to communicate to all saints that are not under the law of Moses).
7. Immorality and all forms of lusts v20.
*Q* Are you free of all subtle wickedness? Do you know that there is no place for the wicked, subtle or smart, in heaven?
*Lord*, let the Holy Spirit search my heart and reveal any subtle wickedness in my heart and attitude🙏

*A HARD TRUTH*
*TEXT:* JEREMIAH 27:12-22.

Jeremiah 27:12-22
[12]I spake also to Zedekiah king of Judah according to all these words, saying, Bring your necks under the yoke of the king of Babylon, and serve him and his people, and live.
[13]Why will ye die, thou and thy people, by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence, as the LORD hath spoken against the nation that will not serve the king of Babylon?
[14]Therefore hearken not unto the words of the prophets that speak unto you, saying, Ye shall not serve the king of Babylon: for they prophesy a lie unto you.
[15]For I have not sent them, saith the LORD, yet they prophesy a lie in my name; that I might drive you out, and that ye might perish, ye, and the prophets that prophesy unto you.
[16]Also I spake to the priests and to all this people, saying, Thus saith the LORD; Hearken not to the words of your prophets that prophesy unto you, saying, Behold, the vessels of the LORD'S house shall now shortly be brought again from Babylon: for they prophesy a lie unto you.
[17]Hearken not unto them; serve the king of Babylon, and live: wherefore should this city be laid waste?
[18]But if they be prophets, and if the word of the LORD be with them, let them now make intercession to the LORD of hosts, that the vessels which are left in the house of the LORD, and in the house of the king of Judah, and at Jerusalem, go not to Babylon.
[19]For thus saith the LORD of hosts concerning the pillars, and concerning the sea, and concerning the bases, and concerning the residue of the vessels that remain in this city,
[20]Which Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon took not, when he carried away captive Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim king of Judah from Jerusalem to Babylon, and all the nobles of Judah and Jerusalem;
[21]Yea, thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, concerning the vessels that remain in the house of the LORD, and in the house of the king of Judah and of Jerusalem;
[22]They shall be carried to Babylon, and there shall they be until the day that I visit them, saith the LORD; then will I bring them up, and restore them to this place.

_*🔑KEY VERSE* "I spake also to Zedekiah king of Judah according to all these words, saying, Bring your necks under the yoke of the king of Babylon, and serve him and his people, and live" (JEREMIAH 27:12)._

Sometimes we are faced with hard truths about life. The outcomes of some situations we counter depend on the appropriateness or otherwise of our actions at such times.

King Zedekiah, in our text, was handed a difficult prophecy by Jeremiah. The counsel of God and that of the prophet was explicit; requiring the king to surrender voluntarily to the king of Babylon like Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim, king of Judah had earlier done.

This was the only panacea to Judah and Jerusalem not to be destroyed by the Babylonian army. While Zedekiah pondered on what to do with the prophecy, the false prophets, rebellious priests and proud princes of Judah pressurised him not to listen or obey the words of Prophet Jeremiah. They even conspired to put the prophet to death but for the intervention of few God-fearing princes among them.

We must learn to obey God and His word no matter how difficult it may be. "The fear of man brings a snare: but whoso puts his trust in the LORD shall be safe" (Proverbs 29:25). King Zedekiah halted between opinions and delayed taking the right decision that could have saved his life, that of his people and the city of Jerusalem. Of course, the Babylonians eventually came against Judah and demolished it; they also killed the princes, nobles, the priests, the children of the king in his presence, plucked out the king's eyes and carried him away into exile where he later died. Obedience to God's word and counsel saves us from heartaches and regrets.

*✍THOUGHT FOR THE DAY* Obey God's word and live!

How to benefit from divine chastisement

*1. What is divine chastisement?*
a. It is the punishments, pains, denials, delays etc, that God subject His erring children to in order to correct and perfect them, Hebrews 12:5-7.
*2.Examples of chastisements*
a. The text in v12 shows that yoke of oppression, deprivation of liberty, humiliating deportation and inconveniences may be used of God to chastise His children.
b. In general, it is a grievous and unpleasant experience, Hebrews 12:11.
c. What were the chastisements God gave the children of Israel in the wilderness for their offences?
d. If you are facing a divine chastisement, God will open your eyes to see where you missed it or the Christian virtues you lack. Any so called chastisement experience by a believer who is pleasing God should be taken as the work of Satan and should be prayerfully rejected.
*3. Submission to chastisements*
a. The children of Israel experienced temptations from false counsellors and prophets to revolt against their chastisements vv15-16. These temptations and false counsellors come in divers ways. Don't yield to them v14, Hebrews 12:4.
b. Prayerfully and patiently endure and submit to God's will during and after the experience v12, Hebrews 12:7,9,12. Say NO to discouragements, prayerlessness or revolt.
*4. Blessings for the Christians with right attitude*
a. Restoration of lost blessings due to disobedience, v22.
b. Fruits of righteousness including deeper righteous living, Hebrews 12:11.
c. Deepening of those virtues that you have in a short supply.
*Lord,* I promise to always submit to your chastisements. Give me more grace🙏
*Lord,* come and perfect everything concerning me and give me grace to submit to your ways no matter how hard🙏
*Pray* for grace, encouragement and prayerful spirit for church members and ministers passing through divine chastisement🙏
*Pray* for divine visitation for all at the Church service🙏

*HYMN* Yield not to temptation

SPECIAL REVIVAL HOUR MESSAGE

DATE: JULY 9, 2020

PREACHER: OUR FATHER IN THE LORD, PASTOR W. F. KUMUYI

TOPIC: PECULIAR FAVOUR FOR THE FAITHFUL

TEXT: EXODUS 19:4-6

My own time has come! There are many people who receive miracles but do not know the appearance of a miracle. It is like you have never met someone before and they say that his name is miracle. Then he is passing by your side and you do not even know him and I ask you, have you ever seen miracle? You say No. I said, look at this person here, do you know his name? And you say No. I then say his name is miracle. You have got a miracle. Amen.

The Lord Jesus was passing by, and He saw a particular fig tree which should normally have fruits, but it had no fruits, only leaves. The Lord spoke the word, “No man eat fruit of thee hereafter for ever” and He kept going. When Jesus spoke, the disciples that time did not see any miracle despite the fact that it was already there.

As they were going, they were wondering why Jesus spoke and nothing happened. But did something happen? Yes. Did they see it? No. The following day, as they were passing, Peter saw it, you too will see a miracle. Amen.

They did not not see it the first day because the drying started from the root under the ground, but by the following day, the root, branches, leaves, and everything have dried up.

Tomorrow morning, you will wake up and see what you did not see this night. You will see it in Jesus name! So now, we are going to build upon what we already have. Your inheritance and miracle is already there with you. You will share your testimonies. Amen and Amen.

Exodus 19:4-6
* 4 Ye have seen what I did unto the Egyptians, and how I bare you on eagles' wings, and brought you unto myself.
* 5 Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine:
* 6 And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel.

We need to realize that what the Lord said to the children of Israel in those good olden days is for us today, and the word and promise is for you. The prophecy and declaration of the Lord is for you. Everything will do good in your life in Jesus name. Amen.

God said,
“Ye have seen...” This is referring to miracles of the past which have happened already. Then He said, “this will happen”. He talks about the past, the present and the future. A miracle of the past: how the Lord bore the Israelites on eagle’s wing unto Himself. In the present day, if we will obey His word and keep His covenant, we shall be a peculiar treasure above all people, and in the future, we shall be a kingdom of priests and a holy nation to Him.

We are looking at this message tonight titled, PECULIAR FAVOUR FOR THE FAITHFUL. The Lord tells us what He intends to do, make of us and bring upon our lives as a result of the fact that we have become a peculiar treasure unto Him. So, we are to show our faithfulness by obeying Him.

A. THE PURCHASE OF GOD’S FAVOURED PEOPLE.
God favoured His people by buying and purchasing them. He paid the price for them and brought them unto Himself as His own inheritance. As we look at the children of Israel, we see that the Lord purchased and paid their price so that they will no longer belong to Egypt, or be slaves to them. They will be His own sons and daughters, they will belong to Him because He purchased them (Exodus 15:16).

You remember the story of how they came out of Egypt? That night, the angel of death was to pass over the land. They were to take a lamb, one for each house. They will kill the lamb and pour the blood into a bowl and apply it to the lintels of their houses and the signposts as well so that when the angel of death is passing by, they will be spared. That was how they were purchased by the blood and left the land of captivity to the land of freedom.

The blood of Jesus has done the same thing for us. Because God has purchased us by the blood of His only begotten Son, judgment will not be our portion anymore, condemnation and death will no longer be our portion. We are free (Psalm 74:2) The Israelites were purchased by the blood of the lamb. Same for us, the blood of Jesus has bought us, we will not perish anymore.

The New Testament brings out the truth clearly that we are bought by the blood (Acts 20:28) God has purchased us with the blood of His only begotten Son, so we no longer belong to the devil. The blood of the sinless, perfect and stainless Son of God has brought redemption to us (I Corinthians 6:20; Exodus 19:4).

Now we belong to God because we have been cleansed by the blood of the Lamb. He has purchased redemption for us. He has reconciled us unto the Father and we have become the children of the kingdom. Therefore, great privileges and precious promises are ours.
II Corinthians 5:18-19
* 18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
* 19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

B. THE PECULIARITY OF GOD’S FAITHFUL PEOPLE. Exodus 19:5
Now we belong to the Lord and reconciled unto Him, He gives us a commandment and tells us He requires faithfulness, obedience, submission. What is the peculiarity of God’s faithful people? That we obey and submit to Him. We are loyal and faithful to Him. We abide in His word. Then we will be peculiar people and treasures to Him, with access to peculiar privileges.

Deuteronomy 26:18-19. Because the Lord has bought us, we become His and no longer belong to ourselves. Because of this, we are to obey and be faithful to Him. He has avowed and affirmed that we are His peculiar people as long as we keep all His commandments. We become His set-apart, holy and righteous people.

These peculiarities go into the Psalms (Psalm 135:4-5) Because of the universal and impartial love of God, as the New Testament tells us that for God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes shall not perish but have everlasting life. He showed the love to Israel and now to everyone who believe. He calls everyone to partake as long as they believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. I pray that that peculiarity will show up, show forth and shine forth in your life in Jesus name. Amen.

What we read in the Old Testament also comes forth in the New Testament (Titus 2:14) Jesus gave Himself unto us to make us peculiar, holy and righteous people zealous of good works (I Peter 2:9) This shows us clearly that what He did for the children of Israel in the old testament He has done for us and we are God's peculiar people, and I pray that all the privileges of being peculiar, the Lord will give to us in Jesus name. Amen.

The single and great peculiarity that stands out is that the peculiar people of God are faithful (Psalms 101:6 - Mine eyes shall be upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me: he that walketh in a perfect way, he shall serve me) We must be obedient and submissive to the word of God (I Corinthians 4:2) Faithfulness to the word and calling of God is required from everyone.

C. THE PRIESTHOOD OF GOD’S FREED PEOPLE. Exodus 19:6
The Lord Jesus is our High Priest and He brings us to Himself as priests under Him. Concerning the priests of the Old Testament, whenever there was a problem or a plague broke out, the High Priest would go there with a censer in his hand, and the moment he makes a sacrifice, all the plagues will cease. We have that same privilege and opportunity that anytime there is a problem or challenge, as we come as a priest of the Lord, all the plagues will be over in Jesus name.

I Peter 2:9. Thank God we are chosen. That means there is royalty in us and we have priesthood as a ministry. So we stand before God on behalf of men, and speak unto men on behalf of God.

Revelation 1:5. Jesus made us kings because of the cleansing and washing of His blood, therefore, the words of our mouths are mighty and powerful because where the words of a king is, there is power. To you tonight, the word of the King is sent forth, and there will be power in your life in Jesus name. Amen.

Also, because Jesus has made us priests before the Lord, anytime we open our mouths to pray, He answers our prayers (I John 3:22; 5:14) Whenever we ask anything in His name, He answers because we obey and do those things which please Him.

As a priest tonight, whatever request you have you can bring before the Lord, He gives us more privileges than the old testament priests, so He hears and answers us. May He hear and answer us tonight. Amen.

:
* Pray and talk to the Lord. He has bought and purchased you, so you can stand before Him and ask what you want and His promises will be Yes and Amen in your life.
* May God bless and increase His grace and anointing upon you
