Mornings With God

October 18

salvation from our enemies and from the hand of all who hate us, - Luke 1:71 (BSB)

The salvation Christ brings to the world is complete.

First, it delivers us from our enemies. We were under condemnation, and Christ’s salvation sets us free. We were imprisoned by death, but now we are liberated.

However, salvation doesn’t stop with freedom from condemnation. We are set free so that we can serve a new Master. Jesus says, “Take My yoke upon you.” We are freed from other masters only by coming under Christ’s rule. We are saved to serve Him.

But this service is not meant to be burdensome or forced. It’s meant to be a joyous, voluntary service motivated by love. We serve Christ by obeying Him—“in holiness and righteousness.” True salvation requires accepting Christ as Lord, which means living in obedience to Him.

No one who is still living a willfully sinful life can truly claim to have received Christ’s salvation.

OPEN HEAVEN DAILY DEVOTIONAL

DATE: WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 15TH 2025

THEME: THE ALL-POWERFUL GOD

MEMORISE: Ah Lord GOD! Behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee: Jeremiah 32:17

READ: Jeremiah 51:15-16
15 He hath made the earth by his power, he hath established the world by his wisdom, and hath stretched out the heaven by his understanding.

16 When he uttereth his voice, there is a multitude of waters in the heavens; and he causeth the vapors to ascend from the ends of the earth: he maketh lightnings with rain, and bringeth forth the wind out of his treasures.

MESSAGE
All power in heaven and on earth belongs to God. Psalm 62:11 says, “God hath spoken once; twice have I heard this; that power belongeth unto God” This means that nothing is impossible for Him to do. In Jeremiah 32:27, He said, “Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me? Luke 1:37 also tells us that with God, nothing shall be impossible. Whenever anybody tells you that a situation you are in is impossible, you should know that such a person is not considering that God is all-powerful. Once you consciously invite God into a situation, things change dramatically for the better.

In 1979, we were getting ready for a congress. We called it Christ The Redeemer’s Congress in those days. We used to hold the congress in different cities and feed everyone who attends. In preparation for this particular congress, my wife and I went to the market to buy some cows. We wanted to buy three cows to feed the people that would attend, but when we were told they would cost seven hundred and fifty naira in total, we went back home because we didn’t have the money. We asked God, “Lord, what are we going to do? Where shall we get the money to buy cows?” We began to pray, and suddenly, somebody knocked on the door. When we opened the door, we saw a brother who had come all the way from Lagos. He said, “Sir, I hope you have not bought cows yet.” We replied, “No, we don’t have the money.” He said, “I have already bought three for the congress.” The All-powerful God who has the cattle upon a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10) provided just what we needed at the nick of time.

The All-Powerful God can change any story, no matter how bad it is. Zacchaeus was regarded as a sinner by everyone in his town. However, when Jesus met him, his story changed. God’s power changed Zacchaeus and made him a new person (Luke 19:1-10).

Beloved, all power in heaven, on earth, and underneath the earth belongs to God, and He can transform lives, marriages, finances, and every other thing you can think about. If there is any negative situation in your life, invite God into the situation by taking it to Him in prayers and trusting Him. He will manifest Himself mightily in your life and turn that situation around for good.

PRAYER POINT
All-powerful God, please show Yourself mighty in my life, in Jesus’ name.

Mornings With God

October 14

but no man can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison. - Jas 3:8 (BSB)

The tongue is a difficult part of our body to control. Yet, it is also one of the most important parts, for with it we can do great good.

When our words are true and loving, they bring blessings wherever they are heard. But the tongue is notoriously hard to tame. Scripture tells us that when someone has mastered their speech, they are nearly perfect. The person who can control their tongue can control the rest of their life.

Just as a small bit controls a powerful horse and a tiny rudder steers a large ship, so the tongue, though small, directs the course of our lives. Taming the tongue is harder than taming wild animals. There was only one man who never spoke foolishly or harshly—Jesus. His words were always pure, kind, and uplifting.

We should strive to master our tongues so that we, too, can do great good. Only Christ can help us achieve this. He mastered all things—demons, diseases, storms, even death—and He can help us tame the most unruly tongue.

Acts 12:11 And when Peter was come to himself, he said, Now I know of a surety, that the Lord hath sent his angel, and hath delivered me out of the hand of Herod, and from all the expectation of the people of the Jews.

Peter was an apostle of Jesus Christ called to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ. As a man who was dedicated and committed to the preaching of the gospel of Christ, God began to do great signs and Wonders through him in the city of Jerusalem.(Acts 5:15).

Seeing and hearing all the great things that God was doing in the city of Jerusalem, Herod was displeased, he then killed James with the sword and arrested Peter and kept him in the prison with the mind of bringing out for public ex*****on after Easter.

But as Peter was kept in the prison, God sent his angel and delivered him from the hand of Herod and expectations of the people of the Jews.(Acts 12:11).

The expectations of the Jews was that peter will be killed the same way James was killed, and Herod will be celebrated the same way he
was he celebrated when he killed James.

But contrary to the expectations of the people of the Jews, peter was delivered but the angel of Lord killed Herod(Act 12:11,23).

As the year is coming to an end, the Lord God
Almighty who delivered Peter from the hand of
Herod will deliver you from all your enemies in
Jesus name.

King Herod planed to kill peter, but at the
process he died before peter. I make adecree over your life and destiny today that whoever wish you dead shall take your in the grave in
Jesus name.

I prophesy over your life that you will live to fulfill your dreams and aspirations in life in Jesus name, emen.

It's is well with you and family in Jesus name .

If you were blessed by this message, please do share with your loved ones.

Good morning and welcome to a great and wonderful week ahead in Jesus name.

"Matthew 16:26 For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?"

The wealth or the material things of this world are very important and we all have need of them as long as we live in this present world.

And because the riches of this world are temporary, they can not be compared to things which have eternal values.

Houses we built, money we have in our bank account and other things we acquired in life are only for this world, and they do not have eternal values.

At death, all that we have acquired in life are left behind as we take our journey into eternity empty handed just the same way we came into the world.

So you and I have nothing to gain if we pursue after the things of this present world to the detriment our souls.

Your life is more important to God than all the things of this world put together. God valued you more than the material things you acquired in life.

The things of this world are important, and they are good in their place, but you as human being is more important to God than what you have in life.

At death your soul, your real self goes back to God to account for the life you lived on earth, but all the things you have laboured for in life are left behind for those who did not labour for them.

Even those who killed their fellow human beings in order to get wealthy in life will still leave their wealth and riches behind at death to meet their maker.

You need to understand that we brought nothing to this world and it is certain that we take nothing out of this present world.

As much as I encourage you to seek for your daily basis needs in life, you also need to bear in mind that your personal relationship with God is more important than the material things you have acquired in life.

I pray for you today that nothing in this present life will take your place in sight of God.

I pray that you get an understanding that you are more important to God than all the material things of this world and may the Almighty God help you to value your life more than the things of this world in Jesus name.

Good morning and have a great and wonderful weekend ahead in Jesus name.

If you were blessed by this message, please let me hear from you and also share with your loved ones.

Yours in God's Service,
Rev P. I Ikhana.

"Revelation 22:11-12, He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.
And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be".

God is a great rewarder, and he rewards people according to their works.

Whatever a person does in life, whether good or bad, there is reward for it.

There is reward for being just and righteous and there is also reward for being unjust and unrighteous in life.

God is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him, and also of others who seek and served him anyhow.(Hebrews 11:6).

We must always bear in mind that whatever good we do in life, there is a reward for it and whatever bad we do also, there is reward for it.

In Revelation 22:12, Jesus said: "And behold, I come quickly and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be"

To the believers in Christ, the Bible says "And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.Galatians 6:9"

I pray for you today that God will strengthen you to use every opportunity that comes on your way in life to do good in Jesus name.

In this journey of life and destiny, may the Almighty God help you to do good for his work here on earth and for human beings and be rewarded accordingly in Jesus name.

Good morning and have a great and blessed midweek ahead in Jesus name.

If you were blessed by this message, please let me hear from you and also share with your loved ones.

Yours in God's Service,
Rev P. I Ikhana.
