*DON'T PRESENT YOURSELF AS AN AGENT/VESSEL OF FACTION/DIVISION, RATHER BE ONE OF LOVE(1Cor 11:17-26. Ps 40. Luke 7:1-10)*
Again we recall St Paul's letter to Timothy, when he speaks of vessels in a large house. That some were made for special occasions, others for ordinary ones. But that if anyone keeps away from fault, such one will become a noble vessel that is holy and useful...(2Tim 2:20-21)
What kind of vessel then are you; A worthy and noble vessel or an ordinary one? Are you a useful vessel or otherwise vessel?
Now if in the house of God and in everywhere you find yourself, all you do is to bring about factions, causing division among people, you can not lay claims to us that you are a useful vessel.
When we as a group fail to champion what can make us, rather we enjoin championing things that divide us, then it is left for us to evaluate our kind of vessel.
Now if we decide to allow division and factions among us, all because we are not from the same tribe or culture even in the house of God, place of work... the we should know this fact that we are working against the prayer of Jesus for unity and Love(John 17:20-21)
The faction that exist among us Christians is a scandal and war against that prayer of Jesus. This is what St Paul calling our attention to. That we should be careful of the kind of vessel we make ourselves to be.
He therefore advocate that our coming together ought to enhance our togetherness and not to worsen or divide us, such meeting should build and not destroy us, it should also unite us and not separate us. And such coming together should be a celebration(Eucharist) of love and not hatred and malice(1Cor 11:17-21, 33).
Jesus brought about this celebration of love, mercy, compassion that will unite people. Thus, he was moved to cure that servant of a Centurion.
That same love was the thing that moved the Centurion to build the synagogue for the people and ultimately the move to seek for the wellbeing of his servant(Luke 7:1-10).
Do you help in building God's house physically or spiritually? Do you build for God or you destroy for him? Do you build for God in that poor brother/ sister? In that servant or househelp like the Centurion? Do you build for God in those working for and with you?
Remember that whatsoever you do to the least of my brother, the same you do to me(Matt 25:40,45)
May God makes us a worthy vessels of honour and Love. Amen
Good morning Beloved...God bless this new week and day for us. Amen. Shalom leka

*MAN MAY DISMISS COMPASSION AND GOODNESS FROM HIS HEART, BUT GOD WILL NEVER DO SUCH(1Cor 5:1-8.Ps 5:5-7,12. Luke 6:6-11)*
Human misery moved Jesus to compassion and to a desire to remove it.
God has so much interest in the well being of his children. Thus, Our ugly condition and worries, often attract God to act in our favour.
The above becomes true of God because he takes no delight in evil(Ps 5) And all who take him as their refuge shall end up being joyous and glad always.
Just as compassion and mercy moved Jesus to heal the man with withered hand not minding what the Scribes and Pharisees were saying over his action, the same heart is what Jesus Christ is asking us to imbide in ourselves.
St Paul encouraged the church in Corinth, to do away with the old yeast(Lack of mercy and compassion, hatred, jealousy, envy, immorality, wickedness...)still existing in their hearts and take on the new yeast of love, mercy, compassion, kindness, good moral...(1Cor 5:1-8)
Never you dismiss love, mercy, compassion and goodness from your heart, for it is far better to do Good than harm.
You do Good when you allow what you profess as a Christian to manifest in your practice...and you do harm when you fail to practice what you profess.
You have received mercy, love, compassion and goodness from God, He awaits you to do the same to others...Don't give otherwise.
Mind you, you have been healed of your 'withered hand' that is your old yeast, you must do the same to others.
May God bless us with that heart that knows compassion and mercy. Amen
Good morning Beloved...Shalom Leka
May God bless your day and week with Good News. Amen

*EVERYBODY'S WORK IS GOING TO BE TESTED...And the end will surely tell...A lesson from Saints Peter and Paul(1Cor 3:9-18)*
👉🏽Truly speaking there are so many builders out there, so many who go by the name builder. But that is not just about those building houses and co. We all are inclusive.
👉🏽You and I are also builders. We are not the 'foundation' but Jesus the chief corner stone.
👉🏽What the above stand to portray is that carefulness and caution must guide our project and prospects in building and laying on of blocks.
👉🏽Now I ask us: what kind of builder are we? How do we build? Who are we building for? On whose foundation are we laying our blocks? Are you building upon sand or rock?
👉🏽Always remember that everyone's work is going to be tested both here and after. Is faith and positive zeal for salvation part of your motivating factor?
👉🏽We should mind and be careful how we build. Since any act of building and even building that has no solid foundation-Jesus, must definitely collapse.
👉🏽Today, we celebrate two great men, Peter and Paul, who cooperated with God's grace and plans for them by donating themselves to Christ as his Co-workers and Builders. These men laboured and toiled in building and enhancing the foundation already laid by Christ Jesus.
👉🏽They had God as their deliverer...One who deliveres them from all their terror(Ps34:4-5). So are you afraid of building or working for God because of men? Then let the faith and confident of these men(Peter and Paul), be a source of encouragement to you(cf. Acts 12:1-11, Ps 34:2-9, 2Tim 4:6-8,17-18)
👉🏽From the way you build, you can tell people who Jesus Christ is. So mind how you build(Matt 16:13-19)
👏🏽May God give us the disposition we need to Labour and build for the salvation of mankind. Amen.
🗣Good morning Beloved...Shalom Leka

*WHEN YOU GO ON JUDGING OTHERS, YOU LACK THE TIME TO WORK ON YOURSELF...A sincere lesson from(Matt 7:1-5)*
👉🏽Talking about judgement, is it not a truism that judgement is solely of the Lord? Who is man to judge man? Can a weak fellow condemn a weak fellow? You see therefore that indeed non is perfect yet or even have the perfect right to judge nor condemn others.
👉🏽Mother Theresa again will say that when we go on hating other people, we will not have the time to love them...and that for me is a waste of energy, precious and costly time.
👉🏽Sequel to that, I will say that when we spend all our time and energy judging others, we equally lack the precious time to help them in becoming good and we also lack the wonderful time in working on ourselves(Matt 7:3-5).
👉🏽Jesus, therefore will strongly recommend we first consider and address ourselves first before doing so to others; Since one who is down may not be able to raise the other person who is down also.
👉🏽But suffice it we clear something very crucial here, nobody has said you should not correct others, but in doing So, let love and sincerity be the drive and not the sense of being the best or doing so out of selfishness and pride. But again in correcting people don't just see them as the worse people, since you are capable of falling victim of what they are guilty of if not the grace of God.
👉🏽Judge not therefore so that judgement won't be allotted to you, since in judging others, to a large extent, you judge yourself also(Matt 7:1-2).
👉🏽Don't always be too quick in founding and building foundation/walls to nailing others all because of One mistake or the other, the first step should be to find out the reason for such fall or mistake, that will help a lot in placing yourself on the same stand of the person in question.
👉🏽And so Jesus would ask: if there is non without sin, be the first to cast stone on this woman? But because if any should raise such stone, even the stone will shout and react against the fellow lifting it (John 8:3-11).
👉🏽Beloved non of is perfect and good yet(Matt 19:16-19), we all are struggling, though some may be stronger than others, and that does not call for judging the weak, but in helping the weak.
👏🏽May God help us to always work on ourselves individually before working on others and May He give us the grace to be patient with ourselves. Amen
🙌🏼May God bless your day and week with awesome news and favour. Amen

GOD DESIRES A GENUINE RELIGIOUS PRACTICE AND NOT ONE THAT IS HYPOCRITICAL (2Kgs 2:1,6-14, Matt 6:1-6, 16-18).
👉🏽Jesus sounds a serious warning over the above when he said, "Beware of practicing your piety before men in order to be seen by them..."(Matt 6:1). He urged us never to make a show of our righteous acts.
👉🏽But what are we seeing today among us? That when we pray, we end up making it a show of how verse we are in spoken English, how knowledgeable we are with God's word( though very good and important while praying), how lengthen our prayer could be...all these May not be bad in themselves, but are they devoid of show or otherwise?
👉🏽Today we have a belief that our almsgiving must announce us. Now, that God used you to bless someone either with money, material goods or something else hasn't call for show off. We see today that even before the recipient(s) could do the publicising of those gestures, the whole world have already heard of it...ask me must we make noise over our charitable acts on people? Is God who always bless us making such noise? What alms are you giving/making today that people have not given/made before?
👉🏽On fasting, you mustn't tell people that you are fasting since you are not fasting to or for them but you are doing so before God.
👉🏽Don't be hypocritical with your religious practices, but be genuine. Don't practice them to be praised by men, because men do not have the real reward over those things.
👉🏽Prophet Elijah had all that, he offered almsgiving, he was a man of prayer and fasting(cf 1kgs 17:1-24, 18:17-40, 19:7-8). But he never made noise with them. So we must emulate the spirit of his religious piety.
👉🏽Let our piety therefore be a genuine one and not an artificial or hypocritical one. And if your religious claims and practices are devoid of love, they are mere punishment and entertainment.
👏🏽May God's double anointing and grace that Elisha prayed for be given to us also, so we may go on pleasing God not man in our religious practices. Amen

*WHATSOEVER WE DO TODAY AWAITS US TOMORROW...A lesson from(1Kgs 21:1-16)*
👉🏽Is it not true that what goes around turns around? Is it also true that one who throws stones up or inside the market should be very careful since the stone might come back to him or her...inside the market because a member of his or her family might be in the group of those in the market.
👉🏽So when we play any game today, be it good or bad, we must necessarily wait for the outcome maybe not an immediate one.
👉🏽In the story about Naboth and Ahab the king as we read in the first book of kings, has a lot to teach us. And the lessons are:
1. God is the Help of the 'helpless'
2. God sees everything
3.When you think you can misuse the power given to you against the innocent people, the higher power...God will not be silent.
4. WHATSOEVER we do today, awaits us tomorrow.
👉🏽We have so many characters in that passage(1Kgs 21:1-16). Where do you belong? Are you Naboth the innocent man? Are you Ahab, Jezebel, the nobles and elders or the two based fellow?
👉🏽We must be very careful how we treat and manage people. Always allow God's love and word to inform everything we do(cf.1Cor 13:4-8, Ps 119:105).
👉🏽That was the message Jesus has for us in the Gospel of Matthew(5:38-42). Don't use evil to fight or correct evil. Rather God's love and word should inform all our deeds.
👉🏽Don't treat anyone as a nobody, because the 'helpless' Naboth around you today, has a Helper called God who can never be quiet over any act of injustice against His people.
👏🏽May God help us to do away with greed and selfishness that often cloud our minds. Amen

*UNLESS WE PARTNER WITH GOD, GROWTH MAY BE DIFFICULT: A message from the Seed...(Ezek 17:22-24, 2Cor 5:6-10, Ps 92,Mk 4:26-34)*
👉🏽We can learn the above message from any seed or crop or even plant. Non can function or give out good result(s), unless such have a serious partnership with the earth/soil as the case may be.
👉🏽Even in a family, a child must necessarily have that partnership in terms of cooperation with the parents if such child desires growth of love and awesome concern from the parents for a better future. Such that, any child who decides to raise shoulders of disobedience against the parents rather than obedience, is only asking for a disconnect.
👉🏽Now, we know that in a very real and true sense of it, we all by that very declaration in the book of genesis, when God offered and pronounced one of the greatest blessing on man saying: "Be fruitful and multiply..."(Gen. 1:28).
👉🏽When God did that, He announced us partners in His work of creation and expansion of the kingdom...Roles were given to us to play.
👉🏽There are things we can do, which we just have to do, God will not do that for us always, not that God could not or can not possibly do that for us, but he wants us do them because we are his partners.
👉🏽Now, it is up to us to do the planting, even in some cases to also water them...those are our roles and duties. But the growth of those plants is beyond our limit. It is God who gives growth.
👉🏽We recall St Paul's statement in one of his letters to the Church in Corinth. That mine is to plant, Apollos' to water and God made it grow(1Cor3:6-8). So we can't make any seed grow, that's God's part, and He always does that perfectly(John 5:17)
👉🏽Faith is needed in this whole idea of partnership not sight(2Cor 5:6-10). You must plant with Faith, nurture your plant with Faith and wait patiently in faith for the harvest.
👉🏽Be therefore God's partner for you to grow and be fruitful with good seeds and shelter. Since outside him, you can bear no fruit(John 15:5)
👉🏽Remember that we are the work of God's hands but we are also God's hands at work.
👏🏽May God's word find meaning in us and make us grow for the good of God's kingdom and for the good of others. Amen
🙌🏼May God bless you with fruitfulness and abundance.

OUR REFUGE IS SURE ONLY IN GOD NOT IN WORLDLY GOODS or MEN...A lesson from 1Kgs18:20-39, Ps 16, Matt 5:17-19
👉🏽Do you know that those who go after other gods and powers outside God will continue to increase their sorrows?(cf Ps 16:4...).
👉🏽No genuine help or favour will come from false powers, they may appear to be real, but in truth such do not last nor bring about joy and happiness. Rather than giving all that, they cause more harm than good to the person(s).
👉🏽We learnt a big and powerful lesson from the encounter Elijah had with the prophets of Baal, that power and majesty indeed belong only to the Lord(1Kgs 18:20-39).
👉🏽Beloved, God is our only REFUGE, in Him we take and have joy, fulfilment , happiness and protection not in any false god or power.
👉🏽He[God]will always show us the path of life if only we can follow Him whole heartedly through loving Him and our neighbours.
👉🏽To enjoy this preservation from him, we must love God and others.Matt 5:17-19. For love is the spirit of the law that God gave to Moses which again Jesus came to fulfil.
👉🏽Remember when you love and show love, you belong to God but if you fail to love or show it, you are on the side of Baal(1Kgs18:20-39)
👏🏽May God's merciful love continue to abide with us all the days of our life. Amen

REFLECTION

DOING THE WILL OF GOD

The WILL of God is contained in the reasons for which he created us; namely, to know him, love him, serve him in this world and to be with him forever in the next. The one who knows and love God will keep his words and abide in his will. The liturgy of today presents Mary and ideal woman who listened to God's word and did his will. Therefore, God granted her the grace to be his mother and power to fight the evil one.
Negating the will of God will take you away from his presence; making you afraid like Adam in the first reading. However, doing God's will makes you a member of God's family with enabling faculty to fight and conquer evil forces Remember not all those who say to me Lord, Lord will enter the enter the kingdom of God, but those who do the will of my father in heaven(Matthew 7:25)

"If in serving God you seek your own convenience, you are not serving God but yourself. " - Saint Joseph Calasanz.

YOUR DISPOSITION TO GOD'S WORD IS IMPORTANT...A lesson from the Immaculate Heart of Mary(Luke 1:38, 2:41-51)
👉🏽Though one's action towards God's may be of importance. But one's disposition is more valuable.
👉🏽Every day we hear and listen to God's word. But do we often make those words ours? Do we allowed them to go down with us?(James 1:22-23)
👉🏽One may decides to hear this Word, even making some claims of having them via different display of action. But it will surprise you to note that disposition unto making it a reality is lacking.
👉🏽We must learn to allow our disposition make the announcement not necessary our action; since such action might be a mere noise.
👉🏽Speaking about disposition and action, a saint by name Laurence Justinian asserts that "in everything we do, God considers our disposition rather than our actions".
👉🏽Isaiah said that he will greatly rejoice in the Lord, that his soul shall exult in his God; who clothed him with a garments of salvation...(cf Is 61:9-11) that was the language of a well disposed heart. And so,
👉🏽It is only a well disposed heart that can grasp the reality of those words.
👉🏽This same heart is what we saw in Hannah, the Mother of Samuel and Mary the Mother of Jesus Christ(1Sam 2:1-8, Luke 1:38-55)
👉🏽Beloved, there is no solution and answer you can not solve or find in God's Word. All you need do is to have a disposition that will agree with such word, make it yours by personalizing it, live by it and walk by it(Ps 119:105).
👉🏽The Immaculate Heart disposed herself to this Word of God, accepted it and treasured it and the outcome was enormous(Luke1:38-39, 2:19)
👏🏽May God endow us with the active disposition we need always to receive and practice His Word in our daily living. Amen
🗣Good morning Beloved and May God announce you for greatness...Shalom
