Parenting Rules Every Parent Should Follow in 2026

1. Protect Your Child’s Personal Space – Never allow anyone—even family members—to make your child sit on their lap. Teach them their body belongs to them.

2. Respect Privacy During Dressing – Avoid changing clothes in front of your child once they turn 2.

3. Reject Inappropriate Terms – Don’t let adults call your child “my wife” or “my husband.”

4. Monitor Playtime and Activities – Know what your child does when playing with friends.

5. Respect Comfort Levels with Adults – Never force your child to spend time with someone they dislike.

6. Notice Behavioral Changes – If a lively child becomes withdrawn, ask and listen carefully.

7. Educate About Healthy S*x Values – Teach age-appropriate sexual values before media does.

8. Review Media Before Exposure – Preview cartoons, movies, and online content before they see them.

9. Activate Parental Controls – Use parental controls on devices, streaming, and TV.

10. Teach Proper Hygiene and Safety – Teach children to wash private parts properly and explain no one should touch them without consent.

11. Blacklist Harmful Influences – Restrict access to music, movies, and friendships that may threaten development.

12. Encourage Independence and Individuality – Teach your child to stand out and make their own choices.

13. Act on Complaints Seriously – Always take your child’s discomfort seriously and defend them.

*NIFES Prayer 🛐 Bulletin*

*DATE: Friday, 16th January, 2026*

1️⃣
Speak divine favour over Katsina State. May it be a land known for peace, prosperity, and goodness, attracting positive recognition and blessings from within and beyond Nigeria! Pray for a bright and glorious future for the next generation. May the children of Katsina inherit a land of greater opportunities, lasting peace, and unparalleled prosperity!

2️⃣
Pray for a hedge of divine protection around every student across all six campuses in Katsina: HUKPOLY, FUDMA, UMYUK, FCE Katsina, ICOE Dutsinma, and Zango College of Health, guarding them from accidents, violence, kidnapping, and all forms of evil. Pray that the Lord will protect students in their hostels, off-campus accommodations, and as they commute to and from school, He will keep them safe from harm and dangerous influences. Pray for supernatural provision for every student struggling with school fees, accommodation, feeding and academic materials. Pray for open doors of opportunity for them.

*ANCHOR (⚓) – NIFES’ Daily Devotional*

*Date:* *Saturday 8th February, 2025*

*Topic:* *LIKE A NURSING AND AFFECTIONATE MOTHER*

*Bible Reading:* *1 THESSALONIANS 2:7–8* *(The Holy Bible, New International Version).*

‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭1 Thessalonians‬ ‭2:7‭-‬8‬ ‭NIV‬‬
[7] Instead, we were like young children among you. Just as a nursing mother cares for her children,

[8] so we cared for you. Because we loved you so much, we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God but our lives as well.

*Word For Today:*

*“But we were gentle among you, like a nursing mother taking care of her own children.” 1 THESSALONIANS 2:7 ESV*

*Inspiring Commentary:*

A mother is a role model for her children, and she is always their first love. A nursing and affectionate mother cares for, feeds her child with her own breast milk, caresses them, and promotes their health, thus preventing illness in her family. Biblically, a mother is a teacher and comforter (Isaiah 66:13), caretaker of her home (Proverbs 31:27), and one who trusts in God’s plan for her life (Luke 1:38).

Apostle Paul used the symbol of a mother in his relationship with the Thessalonian Christians to communicate the depth of the love, care and affection he and his team had for the Church. We can see his motherly relationship especially in 1 Thessalonians 2:7, “. . . just as a nursing mother cherishes her children,” in 1 Thessalonians 2:8, “So, affectionately longing for you . . .” in 1 Thessalonians 3:5, “. . .when I could no longer endure it, I sent to know your faith”.

REFLECTION
How deep, huge and profound is your love, care and affection for Church members as a Pastor? For your Fellowship members as an Executive member of a group and for the entire Executives as a whole?
How would you describe your relationships with the people you are leading? Are you caring and affectionate or nonchalant and detached?
Have you left the care of the flock God gave you into the hands of hirelings
