Topic: UNDERSTANDING THE POWER OF HIS RESURRECTION
Introduction: John 14:19 Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also. From the text we'll see that the power of His resurrection is predicated by our revelation of Him. When the world concentrate on the law or letter Logo's the church is seeing the Grace Rhema.
WHAT IS GRACE? G- GOD'S R- REDEMPTION A- AT C- CHRIST E- EXPENSE
The logo's is the law
Rhema is Grace.
While the law condemns you, the GRACE of God's Word empowers you to live right. This means you're living at the expense of another's life. When the law condemns you to death, Grace comes in to take your place in condemnation. Acts 20:38.... Word of Grace The law is like a mirror that shows you the dirth on your face but the Rhema the Spirit behind the Word is like water that washes the dirt away. “Who also hath made us able ministers of the New Testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the Spirit giveth life. ”The letter law condemns to death but the resurrection power which tendeth to life is in the Spirit Rhema behind the Word 2 Cor 3:6
WHAT IS THE the Power of His resurrection? Romans 6:4
The power of His resurrection is in the Glory of the Father (light)
What is the Glory of the Father? Exodus 33:18-19 The Glory of the Father is the goodness of God revealed. Everytime we encounter the goodness of God it swallows up every evil and we're empowered in our walk with God and our wings of Faith is strengthened in engaging on a flight.
WHAT IS RESURRECTION?Resurrection is the hiding place of God’s exceeding great power – Eph. 1:18-19/ Col. 2:12-15
This is the quickening from death to life. This could be your health, your finances, your business, career, marriage or relationship, mental intelligence etc. TAKE NOTE: THE WORD OF GOD IS THE CARRIER OF GOD'S POWER Every time God's power is enforced by the revealed Truth resurrection takes place. This means everytime you encounter light, life is birthed John 1:4, Rom 8:11
The Spirit of Him here represents the Spirit in the Word John 6:63
Everytime we encounter the Word through revelation, the Spirit which is the Power of the Father encapsulated in the Word quickens us and makes us alive again in Him Eph 1:18-19
Until you're enlightened, you don't know what is expected of you and the provisions made available for you through redemption and also your Dominion rights over the powers of darkness.
Everytime understanding comes you're empowered in every endeavor. Col 2:12-15
Our covenant access to the power of His resurrection is revelation – Phi. 3:10/ Eph. 1:17-18/Mat. 27:50-51
THE SIGNIFICANCE OF THE DEATH AND RESURRECTION OF CHRIST
This is why the first miracle that Christ performed after He rose from the dead was an eye-opening miracle, that is, the taking away of the veil cast upon the heart of men – Mat. 27:51-52/Luk. 24:30-31/45/ 2 Cor. 3:14-15
1. THE VEIL WAS TORN:
ACCESS WAS OPENED: The veil which separated man from God was torn Not from bottom man but from top God. Meaning: Separation ended, Access to God was granted
The barrier between the natural and spiritual was removed. Imagine a room where: God is inside, Humanity is outside, A thick curtain separates both. Before Christ: There was no entry After Christ: The curtain was torn granting us free access
2. THE RESURRECTION BROUGHT UNDERSTANDING: After resurrection: Jesus didn’t just appear, He opened eyes and gave understanding. Meaning: The problem of man was not just sin, it was blindness. Your problem is not lack of prayer but light
Your problem is not because you lack human connection but light divine connectivity
3. The resurrection solved spiritual ignorance. Proverbs 29:18
A car moving at night without headlights: The engine works, the car moves. But: It is heading for danger. Movement without vision = destruction. A ship in the ocean without Compass It is strong. Fully equipped. But without direction: It can drifts. It may crash. Vision gives direction and destination. With our access to revelation through the power of His resurrection, our lives continue to go from glory to glory – 2 Cor. 3:18/ Isa. 60:1-3/15/22.
Everytime revelation is acquired revolution is enforced. A student can only change class by virtue of his understanding for a particular subject matter.
It is understanding that makes one outstanding in life. Your level in life is a function of your depth of understanding Same students might be in the same class, same lecturer, same handout, but come out with different results and grades due to their individual levels of understanding. It takes the Spirit of understanding to stand out from the rest.So everytime we engage the picture of scriptures with understanding we depict what it carries.
What is in the Power of His Resurrection
We understand from scriptures that the power of His resurrection is ordained to provoke our supernatural change of story in all areas of life, as here listed: The power of His resurrection is not just a theological idea, it is a living, active force that produces real transformation in the life of a believer. When Jesus Christ rose from the dead, He released a dimension of divine power that affects spirit, soul, body, and every area of human existence.
1. Empowers us to walk in the newness of life – 1 Cor. 15:42/ Rom. 6:14
Meaning: Resurrection power breaks the control of sin and gives you a completely new spiritual nature. You are no longer bound to your old habits or identity. Examples: Someone who struggled with addiction e.g., alcohol, lust, anger suddenly begins to lose taste for those things after encountering Christ. It’s not just discipline, it’s divine empowerment. You don’t fight sin to become free, you are free, therefore you overcome sin.
2. Eradicates shame and reproach – 1 Cor. 15:43/ 2 Pet. 1:3
Meaning: What was once dishonorable in your life is turned into glory. Resurrection power rewrites your story. Examples: A person once mocked for failure becomes a voice of wisdom. Someone who experienced public disgrace rises into honor and influence. Joseph moved from prison to palace, shame turned to glory.
3. The power of His resurrection takes captivity captive and sets us free – Eph. 4:8/ Col. 2:15/ Heb. 2:14-15
Meaning: Jesus didn’t just rise, He defeated every spiritual force holding people captive. Examples: Freedom from fear especially fear of death. Deliverance from generational curses or oppression, Mental freedom from anxiety or depression
A person once tormented by fear begins to live boldly and peacefully.
4. Empowers us to walk in the supernatural – 1 Cor. 15:44/ Eph. 2:5-6
Meaning: You are no longer limited to natural abilities; you are connected to heavenly realities. Examples: Divine direction knowing what to do beyond logic, Favor in situations where others struggle, Operating in spiritual gifts healing, prophecy, discernment.
You start seeing results that cannot be explained naturally.
5. Quickens our mortal body for health and vitality – 1 Cor. 15:44-45/ Rom. 8:11
Meaning: The same Spirit that raised Christ can revitalize your physical body. Examples: Strength in times of weakness, Recovery from sickness beyond medical expectations, Sustained energy for divine assignments
6. Empowers us to walk in financial prosperity – 2 Cor. 8:9/ Rev. 5:12 Meaning: Through Christ’s sacrifice and resurrection, believers gain access to kingdom resources.This is not just money. It includes: Wisdom to create wealth, Favor and opportunities, Supernatural provision. Examples: A struggling person receives a business idea that transforms their finances, Unexpected financial help in critical times
Prosperity flows from divine grace, not just human effort.
7. The power of His resurrection subdues our enemies under our feet– Eph. 1:17-18 / Psa. 66:3
Meaning: Resurrection power gives you spiritual authority over opposition. Examples: Situations that were resisting you suddenly begin to align, People or forces opposing your progress lose influence, Battles you couldn’t win naturally begin to turn in your favor.
8. The power of His resurrection destroys the power of death and the grave arrayed against us – Heb. 2:14-15/ 1 Cor. 15:54-57
Meaning: Death is no longer the ultimate authority, victory is guaranteed in Christ. Examples: Freedom from fear of dying, Eternal life assurance, Even in loss, believers walk in hope and victory
Death becomes a transition, not a defeat.
9. The power of His resurrection delivers instantly - Jhn. 21:5-6
Meaning: Resurrection power can produce sudden, undeniable results. Examples from Scriptures The disciples caught nothing all night, but one instruction from Jesus changed everything instantly. A long-standing problem suddenly resolves, A “dry season” turns into abundance overnight What effort couldn’t achieve, divine power accomplishes instantly.The ultimate expression of this power is captured in Philippians 3:10 “That I may know Him and the power of His resurrection…”This power is not just to be admired, it is to be EXPERIENCED.
YOU CAN'T KNOW HIM AND NOT BE EMPOWERED BY HIM.
KNOWLEDGE OF THE TRUTH EMPOWERS FOR DOMINION.
Knowing Him is having a personal relationship, fellowship and encounter with His person.
I PROPHESY TO YOU THIS DAY THAT THE POWER THAT ENFORCES RESURRECTION CAUSE A DIVINE SHIFT IN YOUR LIFE AND DESTINY.
EVERYTHING DEAD, DYING OR ABOUT TO DIE IN YOUR LIFE, BUSINESS, MARRIAGE, HEALTH, FINANCES BEGIN TO JERK BACK TO LIFE NOW IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST
Therefore, everyone should expect instant turnaround encounter with His resurrection power this morning in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen
