Yesterday in service, our Pastors Daniel Ebhohimen and Esther Ebhohimen shared 13 Lessons from their 13 Years of Marriage:
♦️ Proper preparation before marriage helps to build a strong marriage
♦️ Have a picture of the kind of marriage you desire
♦️ Choosing the right partner for you and being the right partner is very critical
♦️ Starting on the right foundation (of purity) helps to build a strong marriage
♦️ Understanding the needs of one's spouse is key to a happy marriage.
♦️ Understanding your differences is equally important. You are different, not better than each other.
♦️ Understand that you are partners and are on the same team. When one wins, both of you win. And vice versa.
♦️ Talk, talk and talk a lot. Marriage thrives on healthy communication.
♦️ Marriage requires curiosity rather than confrontation and assumption. Stop the assumption. Seek to understand before you confront.
♦️ Keep learning and growing together in order to keep becoming better. When you grow, your marriage grows.
♦️ Be intentional about having fun and injecting excitement in your marriage.
♦️ Being accountable protects your marriage. Be accountable to God, to each other and to mentors.
♦️ And lastly, keeping God at the centre of your marriage and maintaining the dear of God.
