FAMILY THANKSGIVING SERVICE | SERMON HIGHLIGHTS 🙏🏽🏠
Today at Nazareth Baptist Church, we gathered as a family to give thanks to God for His faithfulness and to reflect on His divine plan for our homes.
📖 Topic: THE PLAN OF GOD FOR A CHRISTIAN HOME
📖 Text: Ephesians 5:2, 21-33
We were reminded that God has a good plan for every home, especially the Christian home. A home built in Christ must be founded on the principles of Love and Humility, with every member understanding and fulfilling their God-given role.
❤️ LOVE
Love comes from God and produces a life of sacrifice, comfort, faithfulness, obedience, and forgiveness.
⚠️ DECEIT
We were cautioned about the destructive progression of deceit, lust, disobedience, slavery, captivity, and ultimately death. What begins as deception can gradually become a lifestyle if it is not discerned and confronted.
🙏🏽 HUMILITY
Humility remains essential in building a home according to God’s order. As Christ is the head of the Church, the husband is called to love and lead his home sacrificially, while the wife is called to submit according to God’s design.
The Christian home is more than a place where a family lives. It is meant to be a reflection of Christ and a living expression of the Church.
May God help our homes to become homes built on Love, Humility, Sacrifice, Faithfulness, Obedience and Forgiveness, and may our families continually bring glory to His name.
