THEME: THE MAN AS THE PRIEST OF THE HOME

Text: Ephesians 5:25-33

Every man is called to be the first pastor/priest of his home. He is not only the physical head but also the spiritual head of the home. Paying school fees and providing for the home does not qualify you as the head. What makes you the head of the family is the responsibility you take, both physically and spiritually.

There is a responsibility on every man to stand and take firm spiritual responsibility for the family - _Ephesians 5:23-24_.

What gives you authority as the head of your family is your priesthood. It is what guarantees and legitimizes your leadership in the home. Many men have shifted their priestly responsibility to their wives. A father who does not care about the spirituality of his home will ultimately lose control. You must take firm and deliberate control of the spiritual atmosphere of your home - _Joshua 24:15_.
You will never be in charge physically if you do not have solid spiritual control. The devil will mo**st your family if you do not take your rightful place as the priest over your household.

Today, women in many homes are gradually taking over authority because some men only provide but do not take firm spiritual control as the head. This has led to a breakdown of law and order.

A man should take time to stand in prayer and intercede for his household. You can pass the right values to your children, but one wrong association will ruin everything if you do not take firm spiritual control. David was a great king over Israel, but he failed in his family responsibility.

You cannot be a spiritual leader in church and not be one in your home. Eli was a priest in the temple, but he did not discipline or teach his children about God - _1 Samuel 3:13_. _Joshua 24:15_.

When you have no reason to teach your children to serve God, Satan will occupy their time and give them a reason to serve him. There are men who cannot pray in the presence of their children. They are spiritually empty and have no values to pass on.

The devil is afraid of a man who takes firm spiritual control because such a man is a threat to his agenda. The reason the devil attacks men is because of the grace and power of authority they carry. Men are the initiators of change in the family.

The responsibility of priesthood belongs to the man, not the woman. Do not relinquish your authority and spiritual covering - _2 Chronicles 15:7_.

Be a priest who intercedes for his family.

Be a sound priest who teaches God’s Word and sound doctrine.

3. 1 Samuel 12:23-25
Be a priest who leads spiritually. Be firm and deliberate in your leadership role.

THEME: THE FIGHT OF FAITH

Texts: Psalms 34:19-20; 1 Timothy 6:12

As a kingdom citizen, whenever you go through trials or challenges, know that God is about to do something remarkable in your life. God does not waste His training on people He isn’t ready to use.

When He takes you through the wilderness, there’s a reason: to bring out godly virtue in you. Every challenge is an investment, and God will not waste His investment.

Your capacity to grow lies in the trials and challenges you face daily. You cannot become a giant of faith if you’re afraid to step onto the battlefield. Battles build your capacity and strengthen you.

You cannot grow in faith if you refuse to fight the good fight of faith. If everything scares or offends you, you’ll lose focus on your calling.

There are battles you face because the devil is angry at the damage you do to his kingdom. But God allows those challenges so your faith can be built firm and strong - _1 Corinthians 10:13_.
Almost every trial you pass through is calculated to refine you. Rejection and betrayal are designed to sanitize you, not destroy you.

God is not against you; He is with you and for you. No matter how ugly the situation looks, God has designed it to work for your good. You are not a victim but a conqueror, because Christ already won you the victory before the battle began - _Psalms 144:1_.
Don’t give up! Every battle is for training, and every war is for elevation. You fight on the battlefield of resilience to build up your faith.

Every promised land that flows with milk and honey has giants in it. If you must enjoy the good of that land, you must be ready to face those giants and prevail - _2 Corinthians 4:7-12_.
You are not the one to be conquered in this battle because God has already won you the victory. Be rest assured that God has very big plans for you. If you weren’t important, Satan wouldn’t fight so hard to tarnish your image and frustrate your efforts.
Anytime you see Satan attacking a child of God, know that there is grace upon that child - _Malachi 4:1-3_.

1. Romans 8:31-34
You are too important for God to abandon. See yourself the way God sees you. No matter how fierce the battle is, know that God will never leave you nor forsake you. He won’t bring you this far to forsake you - _1 Thessalonians 5:23-24_.

2. Numbers 23:8
You are too blessed to be cursed. What you carry on the inside of you is bigger than what people can see. It is too late for the enemy to stop you! - _Romans 8:33-35_.

3. Psalms 89:34-36
You are too programmed to be wasted. God will not allow His investment in you to go to waste. You are a project that cannot be abandoned.

THE ABUNDANT LIFE (IT IS YOUR CHOICE TO MAKE)

Genesis 3:1-6
John 10:10

It is important to know that "the abundant life" is a gift freely given to us by God. Unfortunately, not everyone is living it. It is a reality we should enjoy as part of our kingdom package.

The material things we enjoy are only a bonus of the abundant life. The abundant life is the grace and mercy of God that allows us to experience the fullness of life. It is God’s express intention for us—to live heaven here on earth.
It is the celestial made manifest in the terrestrial. From every definition of the word, you will see that you cannot live this life without God. It is your choice to make.

God has brought the abundant life to us, yet many have refused to accept it. The opportunity to come out of our struggles lies with us, but we often fail to take hold of it. The abundant life is a beautiful life, freely given.

You must first accept it. Unfortunately, some still won’t accept it because they do not understand it. To enjoy this life, there is a process you must go through: you must submit yourself to the will of God, die to the flesh, and yield to the Spirit.

The abundant life is not the absence of trouble; it is the presence of divine peace in the midst of chaos. Even when trouble comes, you are not shaken because of God’s presence in your life.
It is the grace to be weak yet still strong. It is a spiritual reality that manifests in your life as you align with it.

The abundant life ends every argument. But to enjoy it, you must listen to and follow instructions. It is not tied to earthly knowledge. It is for those who have died to the desires and leading of the flesh and have yielded to the Spirit of the living God.

The abundant life gives you satisfaction here on earth, but in heaven’s way. You may not have everything, yet you lack nothing!

The abundant life God has prepared for you is not the same as that of others. You can live your life here on earth to the fullest and still go to heaven to enjoy the full goodness of eternity, _2 Peter 1:3_.
God did not redeem you to suffer here on earth so you can enjoy eternity. God is interested in your body here on earth and your soul for heaven.

If you must enjoy divine abundance, you must partner with God.
The first step to living the abundant life is to totally submit your life to Christ and make Him your Lord and personal Saviour.
The choice is yours!

“I AM WILLING, BE HEALED”
_Matthew 8:1-7_

Almost every believer knows that Jesus has the power to heal and deliver. What many struggle with is believing that He is _willing_ to heal and deliver _them_.

Satan tries to make you feel cast aside because of sin or because you don’t deserve God’s mercy. The l***r in Matthew 8 felt unqualified to be healed—that’s why he asked, “Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean.”

A life of sickness and affliction is not the abundant life Christ promised. It is not God’s plan for you.

God’s desire is for you to be healthy, full of life, at peace, and joyful. You are qualified to be lifted and to be a breakthrough for your family and in your endeavors. God has a purpose for you wherever you are.

God has the power to heal every affliction and sickness. The real struggle for many is believing they are qualified, or that God is willing.
God hates to see His children sick. It brings Him no glory when you are afflicted or in bo***ge. He is in a hurry to deliver you, because it is a mockery to suffer an affliction He has already paid for. _Exodus 15:23-26_

When you go through challenges, listen to God more than you listen to the opinions of people or the voice of your problems. God knows the best course of action and will guide you.
He knows what is harmful to you. When He nudges you or speaks, learn to hear and obey. One instruction from God can deliver you from multiple destructions. The heart of God toward every believer is love and compassion. He is always willing to take away sickness and disease that the enemy throws at you. He is the Lord that heals you.

Believe without doubt that He is both able and willing to heal you. If He healed your headache, believe He can heal diabetes and cancer too.

If man-made products have spare parts, how much more does God—the Creator of the universe—have replacement for every part of you? He is always willing to take away shame, affliction, and infirmity from your midst.

Stop going to places where you are condemned for what you’re going through. Christ came so that you may have life, and have it more abundantly.
Stop telling yourself that your past has caught up with you. That is a lie from the pit of hell. Take your eyes off your affliction and fix them on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith.
Your afflictions never take Jesus by surprise. He never misdiagnoses your situation. Stay focused on Him.

Jesus says you are qualified for that breakthrough—healing, connection, contract, salvation, or whatever you desire. He will not turn His back on anyone who comes to Him. Don’t disqualify yourself.
As long as you are born again, you are qualified for the blessings of the Father. _Colossians 1:12-14_
God does not keep a record of your wrongs or mistakes. Don’t disqualify yourself, because Christ has made you righteous.

Every evil and ugly situation you’re facing is from the devil. God is willing and able to bring you out of it. _Exodus 23:25-26_

Your body may grow weak and tired at times, but no weapon formed against you shall prosper. Never accept an uncomfortable condition as part of your life. _Jeremiah 8:21-22_

_DIVINE RESURRECTION_
Matthew 12:38-42

One of the greatest acts that gave us the power to be in charge and exercise our dominion here on earth is the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. When He arose from the dead, all souls were liberated and redeemed from the curse of the law. The resurrection of Jesus is the birth of our new identity in God; we are no longer slaves to sin or fear and have become more than conquerors.

As believers, we must see ourselves the way God sees us. When Jonah preached to the people of Nineveh, they repented, and a renewal was birthed. The death of Jesus purchased for us a new identity and kept us in the right standing with God. The greatest miracle that gave us victory is His resurrection; it has made us a sign and wonder to the world.

You are not meant to be running from pillar to post seeking a miracle when you are the miracle yourself. You are the healer and not the one seeking healing. By His resurrection, we are not beggars but living proof of His wonder and a marvel to this generation. _Acts 2:22-23, 38_

No matter the gang-up against you, if you believe in the finished work of Jesus, you are already victorious. Understand the power of His resurrection, and you will be in charge permanently. If God does not permit it, Satan does not have the power to perform. The devil will strive to attack anything that is not in his power to control. The power of resurrection gave you victory _1 Corinthians 15:3-4_.

We are no longer where Satan kept us; we have been purchased and redeemed and seated on high with Christ _Romans 6:4-5_. We are commanders of the divine covenant and living witnesses to the power of God in Christ Jesus. While the scribes and the Pharisees were asking for a sign, God is telling us, "We are the signs," and He is on our side. _Matthew 5:8-10_.

We are commissioned to be small gods here on earth until God comes to take us to heaven. We have been ranked higher than the devil by virtue of accepting Jesus as our Lord and Savior _Luke 10:17-20_.

1. _Romans 6:5-7_: Dying with Him means freedom from sin. Grace does not give us the license to sin; it delivers us from sin. If you still enjoy sinning, then you haven't really encountered this Jesus who laid His life for you. Anyone who enjoys sin is a slave to sin, and it will give birth to death. Enjoying sin reduces your grace to fight Satan. "Falling from grace is not falling into sin; it is accepting what the devil has said to you."

2. _John 3:5-6_: Dying with Him means freedom from death and mortality. When you became born again, it wasn't your mortal body that changed but your spirit. You became transformed from just an earthling into a spirit with dominion and power _Romans 6:8-11_.

3. _2 Timothy 2:11-13_: Dying with Him means reigning with Him in glory.
