SET YOUR HOUSE IN ORDER
Text: Isa 38:1-5
In those days Hezekiah was sick and near death. And Isaiah the prophet, the son of Amoz, went to him and said to him, "Thus says the LORD: 'Set your house in order, for you shall die and not live.'" 2 Then Hezekiah turned his face toward the wall, and prayed to the LORD, 3 and said, "Remember now, O LORD, I pray, how I have walked before You in truth and with a loyal heart, and have done what is good in Your sight." And Hezekiah wept bitterly. 4 And the word of the LORD came to Isaiah, saying, 5 "Go and tell Hezekiah, 'Thus says the LORD, the God of David your father: "I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears; surely I will add to your days fifteen years. (NKJV)

At a certain time in the life of Hezekiah, there was need to set his house in order. God added fifteen years to him but he did not set his house in order. This you can confirm in 2 Kings 21 :1-4. His son Manasseh departed from the ways of the Lord to serve idols and shed innocent blood.

In the beginning of the year like this, there is need to review your household, your business, ministry and all your undertakings. The purpose of this review is to discover what is not in order, what is not working and what needs to be improved on in order to produce better results.

HOW DO I PROCEED?
1. Take time to look at the records, the position of things and the performance for the past year.
2. Consider the availability of the relevant resources and other means of sourcing them.
3. Consider the adequacy and quality of personnel.
4. Review your goals and objectives and set new targets.
5. Dispose all assets that are no more useful (including clothes that you are no longer wearing - for homes)
6. Fire unproductive staff and replace them with better ones.
7. Review your processes, strategies and change to better ones. You cannot continue to do things the same way and expect different results.
8. Let your offices, your homes and churches have a new look. Create impression something new is happening.
9. Make your budgets and state a timeline for each of your targets.
10. Critically analyse your strength, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. Map out strategies to deal with your weaknesses and threats and how to exploit every opportunity.
11. Commit everything to God in Prayer and have confidence of better result this year. Work closely with God all through the year for He is the one that gives us the power to get wealth and to have good success. Deut 8:18, Josh 1 :8

PRAYER
1. Father thank you for being there for my success this year in Jesus’ name.
2. Father, please direct my course this year and order my steps to places of favour, upliftment and good success in Jesus’ name.
3. Father, please take away evil powers and obstacles out of my way throughout this year in Jesus’ mighty name.
4. Father, please link me this year to my hand lifters, pillars of support and destiny helpers in Jesus’ name.
5. Father, take away spirit of error far from me and my family this year in Jesus’ name.
6. Father, please bless me abundantly and let all know that I am serving Elshadai the living God in Jesus’ mighty name.

FORGIVENESS
Text: Mark 11:25-26
"And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses. But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your trespasses." (NKJV)

Forgiveness means the act of excusing a mistake or offence, to pardon, to waive any negative feeling or desire for punishment, retribution, or compensation.

THE NEED FOR FORGIVENESS
1. Forgiveness is a necessity for peaceful coexistence
2. It is God’s command to us His children.
3. It is a condition for God’s door to be opened for us in prayer.
4. It is condition for our offering and sacrifices to be acceptable to God. Matt 5:23-24
5. It is a condition for our sins to be forgiven.

THE DANGERS OF UNFORGIVENESS
a. You lose your peace. If you are bitter with your neighbour, you will not have internal peace. Sometimes you forgive not because the person deserves it but because you want to have peace.
b. You lose your joy. Once peace is gone joy follows.
c. You lose your health. Once joy is gone sickness creeps in.
d. You lose your fellowship with God.
e. You attract demons to yourself.
f. You become a candidate of hell fire.

WHY YOU MUST FORGIVE
You are not impeccable/perfect, only God is. Yet he still forgives and His mercy endures forever.
It is ridiculous when you refuse to forgive and you kneel down with your family to pray in the morning or in the night. It is self-deceit, God will not listen nor answer your prayer. Don’t be a fool!

PRAYER
1. Father thank you for forgiving all my trespasses in Jesus’ name
2. Father give me a forgiving heart and forgiving spirit. Today I forgive all my offenders in Jesus’ name.
3. Father, please make all those I offended to forgive me in Jesus’ name.
4. Father, I cancel all the rubbish, curses and wicked words I have said to my neighbours, my friends, my associates, my spouse and children in Jesus’ name.
5. Father, now I bless all my friends, my associates, my neighbours, my friends, my spouse and children in Jesus’ name.

GOD’S REQUIREMENTS – 6
Text: Deuteronomy 10:12-13
De 10:12 "And now, Israel, what does the LORD your God require of you, but to fear the LORD your God, to walk in all His ways and to love Him, to serve the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul, 13 "and to keep the commandments of the LORD and His statutes which I command you today for your good? (NKJV)

What does God want from us?
1. To fear Him
2. To walk in all His ways
3. To love Him
4. To serve Him with all your heart and with all your soul
5. To keep his commandments and statutes for your own good

Let’s consider the fifth requirement:

5. TO KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS AND STATUTES FOR YOUR OWN GOOD
We must keep God’s commandments and laws. When God says be holy (Lev 20:7), He is saying live your life completely in accordance with my laws and commandments. The Almighty God who created all things and knows all things, fashioned laws to make things work properly and harmoniously on earth. Government of the world copied this when they created organs for law making in order to achieve harmony in the society. If Governments in their wisdom make laws which must be obeyed for the good of the society, you can understand why the highest authority in the universe, God Almighty, made laws that must be obeyed for our own good.

When we obey God’s instructions we work for our own good and the good of the society. When we disobey God we do harm to ourselves and the society. For example, God said we should not engage in adultery and fornication (Exodus 20:14). No man will like his wife to be tampered with by another man or vice versa. Similarly, no parents will be happy to find their daughters in a family way without marriage. This particular sin apart from unwanted pregnancy and divorce, had led to contacting and spreading of venereal diseases, psychological disorder, abortions, hatred, quarrels and deaths. Again, God said to us, do not steal (Exodus 20:15). We know the havoc stealing has cursed in the society. Corrupt leaders have brought down the economy of their countries by stealing government funds. A lot of people have sustained injury and death by armed robbers. Today, a lot of people are losing the wealth through cybercrime. A good example in the bible is the case of Achan in Joshua 7:1-26. Achan stole what God commanded them not to touch. Sequel to his disobedience God’s presence left the camp of Israel and the enemies killed 36 soldiers of Israelites. When Achan was exposed he was killed with all the members of his family. What a calamity! God also said we should not commit murder (Exodus 20:13) but look at the world today, it is killings everywhere even in the name of God who commanded us not to kill our fellow human beings.

Jesus Christ summarized the whole law by saying we should love one another. John 13:34 "A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. If we love one another, evil will disappear and the world will be become like heaven.

The question is, are we ready to obey God and love one another? The world is in enmity with God and that is why the world is burning and boiling today. Except we surrender our lives to Jesus Christ the Saviour and Redeemer of the world, it will be difficult for us to obey God and love one another. It is only through the power of Holy Spirit which we can only receive when we have surrendered our lives genuinely to Jesus Christ that can empower us to obey God and love one another.

GOD’S REQUIREMENTS – 5
Text: Deuteronomy 10:12-13
De 10:12 "And now, Israel, what does the LORD your God require of you, but to fear the LORD your God, to walk in all His ways and to love Him, to serve the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul, 13 "and to keep the commandments of the LORD and His statutes which I command you today for your good? (NKJV)

What does God want from us?
1. To fear Him
2. To walk in all His ways
3. To love Him
4. To serve Him with all your heart
5. To keep his commandments and statutes for your own good

Let’s consider the fourth requirement:

4. TO SERVE HIM WITH ALL YOUR HEART
To serve means action taken to fulfill a purpose; role, or function, to perform a duty or hold office; perform a specific function, contribute or to devote (part of) one's life or efforts to a course; ; promote, benefit, or be useful or beneficial to someone or organization; work for or be a servant to someone or organization.

God called us into His service to:
1. Be holy like Him. Lev 19:2 "Speak to all the congregation of the children of Israel, and say to them: 'You shall be holy, for I the LORD your God am holy.’
2. Be a light to the world Mt 5:14 "You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden
3. Give love to the world John 15:17 "These things I command you, that you love one another.
4. Preach the good news of Jesus salvation and redemption. Mark 16:15-16 And He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.”
5. Win souls to God and prepare the souls for heaven. Mt 28:19 "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit”
6. Praise and worship Him. The bible says in 1 Peter 2:9 “But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light”
7. Do all the works Jesus did and greater and show forth the power of God. Rom 8:19 For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God.

How do we do the above with all our heart?
1. You have to surrender completely to the will of God. We must understand who God is and wholeheartedly surrender to his will. Remember Jesus in Matt 26:39 He went a little farther and fell on His face, and prayed, saying, "O My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as You will." You must consider God first in all things.
2. You need a heart of love and compassion. Jesus had compassion on the sick. In Matt 14:14, when Jesus went out He saw a great multitude; and He was moved with compassion for them, and healed their sick.
3. You need a broken heart and humble spirit. You have to rise above the flesh and worldliness. David cried to God in Psalm 51:17 and said, “the sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, a broken and a contrite heart- these, O God, You will not despise.” Consider these scriptures: Gal 5:24 And those who are Christ's have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 1Co 15:50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does corruption inherit incorruption.
4. No going back no matter the situation. In Luke 9:62 Jesus said, "No one, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God." Service to God must come from the depth of your heart and nothing can discourage you.

PRAYERS
1. Father, I thank you for your salvation and call to service in Jesus name.
2. Father, I want to serve you all the days of my life, please help me and give me the grace to serve you well in Jesus name
3. Father, please make me a profitable servant in Jesus name
4. Father, keep my name secured in the Book of Life.
5. Father, preserve me with your strength, please don’t me be discouraged on the way.
6. Father, bless me again in Jesus name.

GOD’S REQUIREMENTS – 4
Text: Deuteronomy 10:12-13
De 10:12 "And now, Israel, what does the LORD your God require of you, but to fear the LORD your God, to walk in all His ways and to love Him, to serve the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul, 13 "and to keep the commandments of the LORD and His statutes which I command you today for your good? (NKJV)

What does God want from us?
1. To fear Him
2. To walk in all His ways
3. To love Him
4. To serve Him with all your heart
5. To keep his commandments and statutes for your own good

Let’s consider the third requirement:

3. TO LOVE HIM
Love is an intense feeling of deep affection. Love is a bond or connection between two people that results in trust, intimacy, and an interdependence that enhances both partners. In the most basic sense, love is the emotion felt and actions performed by someone concerned for the well-being of another person. Love involves affection, compassion, care, and self-sacrifice. Love originates in the Triune Godhead, within the eternal relationship that exists among the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (1 John 4:7–8).

How Do I Love God?
1. Love Him with all with your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength (Mark 12:30). Make God your greatest treasure, love God with all your being (attitudes and intentions, emotions, thoughts and feelings, and body); all my reasoning and intellect will be towards God; honoring Him with all your abilities, resources and services.
2. Love your neighbours. You prove God’s love when you love those you see around you. 1John 4:20 If someone says, "I love God," and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen?
3. By obeying His commandments and statutes. John 14:15 "If you love Me, keep My commandments.
4. By studying and meditating in His word (Timothy 3:16–17, Joshua 1:8). When you love God you will be hungry and thirst for His word. Ps 42:1 As the deer pants for the water brooks, So pants my soul for You, O God. You cannot know the will of God except you study His word.
5. Always engage in intense praise and worship and appreciation to God. Psalm 100:4-5, Psalm 116:17. God inhabits the praise of His people. Psalm 22:3
6. Spend time with the people of God. God is always in the midst of His people. Matt 18:16. The scripture said we should not forsake the assembling of our brethren (Hebrews 10:25).
7. Fellowship with God through prayers. God enjoys our prayer sessions.

PRAYER
1. Father, I thank you because your love that transcends human understanding. I thank you because you first loved me.
2. Father, I want to love you from the depth of my life and with everything within me, Lord please give me a new heart of love.
3. Father, please give me the grace to easily obey you at all times.
4. Father, please bless me again today.*

GOD’S REQUIREMENTS – 3
Text: Deuteronomy 10:12-13
De 10:12 "And now, Israel, what does the LORD your God require of you, but to fear the LORD your God, to walk in all His ways and to love Him, to serve the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul, 13 "and to keep the commandments of the LORD and His statutes which I command you today for your good? (NKJV)

What does God want from us?
1. To fear Him
2. To walk in all His ways
3. To love Him
4. To serve Him with all your heart
To keep his commandments and statutes for your own good

We consider these requirements:

2. TO WALK IN ALL HIS WAYS
Way in this regard means how something is done or how it happens or thing or person that acts to produce a particular effect or achieve an end. Ps 103:7 says God made known His ways to Moses, His deeds to the children of Israel. So, there are two levels of the knowledge of God. You can know God's ways or you can know God's works. Moses knew God's ways but Israel knew God's acts.

What are the ways of God?
1. It is the ways in which God deals with us.
2. His ways entail what He wants to do.
3. The ways of God are the choices He makes concerning us.
4. His ways are higher than our ways (Isa. 55:9).
5. He has His own consecrations, and there is no room for our choice.
6. He is a holy God and His standard is holiness (1 Peter1:16). He chose to be holy from the beginning and He is unchangeable.
7. Yet, He is unpredictable. He is a sovereign God doing what pleases Him (Psalm 115:3). He deals with this person in this manner and with another person in that manner
8. Nobody can know Him fully. He is compendium of Knowledge and His knowledge is complete.
9. His ways are what He deems best. The ways of God imply that God acts according to His desire and choice. He is God. No one can tell Him how He should act. He does not need counselors or advisors. He does not need an advisory board to tell Him how to do things. If He chose to love Jacob and hate Esau even before they were born, who can challenge Him? (Rom 9:13)
10. He is a wise God and the wisest. Job 9:4 God is wise in heart and mighty in strength. Who has hardened himself against Him and prospered? 1Co 1:20 Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the disputer of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?
11. God is hardworking and working always. John 5:17 But Jesus answered them, "My Father has been working until now, and I have been working."
12. He is a righteous Judge (2 Tim 4:8). No one can fault the judgment of God.
13. He is so loving, caring and merciful. No wonder David was a man after God’s heart.

God wants us to be holy and perfect (Lev 19:12, Matt5:48), loving (John 13:34), caring (Job10:12, Psalm 27:10) and merciful (Deut 4:13), act wisely (Proverb 4:7 wisdom is the principal thing), hardworking (Prov 10:4), give righteous judgments (John 5:30) and surrender our lives to His Son Jesus Christ (Acts 16:31).

PRAYER
Father I thank you because your ways are perfect.
Father, please make me to understand and keep all your ways in Jesus name.

GOD’S REQUIREMENTS – 2
Text: Deuteronomy 10:12-13

"And now, Israel, what does the LORD your God require of you, but to fear the LORD your God, to walk in all His ways and to love Him, to serve the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul, 13 "and to keep the commandments of the LORD and His statutes which I command you today for your good? (NKJV)

What does God want from us?
1. To fear Him
2. To walk in all His ways
3. To love Him
4. To serve Him with all your heart
To keep his commandments and statutes for your own good

We consider these requirements:

THE FEAR GOD
Fear means two things:
1. An emotion experienced in anticipation of some specific pain or danger.
2. A feeling of profound respect for someone or something
For those of us who are in Christ Jesus as our Savior, fearing God means to revere, honor, exalt, hold in high regard and esteem, worship, obey, acknowledge as worthy, and honor Him as our Creator and Judge. For the lost and those living in sin, they are afraid of God because they are not right with Him and are destined for judgment and condemnation.

When we submit our lives to God wholeheartedly and fear Him, He will bless us and load us with His loving kindness and benefits. (Psalm 68:19) God said in the book of Jeremiah 32:39 ‘I will give them one heart and one way, that they may fear me forever, for their own good and the good of their children after them.’

Brethren, which one is better- fear God and get blessed or fear Devil and enter his bo***ge and destruction? Meditate on this. For me and my family we have chosen to fear and serve the Living God (Joshua 24:15). We have chosen the blessings of God above the manipulations of Satan. Everything Satan gives comes with sorrow (Proverb 10:22). Don’t envy those who cry in their bedroom or chamber but come out in the public displaying demonic wealth pretending to be happy. Look at Proverb 15:16 ‘Better is a little with the fear of the LORD, than great treasure with trouble.’

PRAYER
1. Father, thank you for choosing to be holy, kind and good God. Thank you for your mercy that endures forever and your loving kindness.
2. Father, I surrender to your will. Please Lord put your fear in me so I can please you in this life.
3. Father, separate me completely from evil men and women, bad friends and neighbours who prefer to serve the evil One.
4. Father, bless me today and let the world know that I am serving a great God.

GOD’S REQUIREMENTS -1
Text: Deuteronomy 10:12-13
De 10:12 "And now, Israel, what does the LORD your God require of you, but to fear the LORD your God, to walk in all His ways and to love Him, to serve the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul, 13 "and to keep the commandments of the LORD and His statutes which I command you today for your good? (NKJV)

God is the one that created the whole earth and the entire universe. The owner of an enterprise decides what to engage on, who to bring in to work and the rules of engagement, when to hire and fire. I don’t think it is too much for God tell us His creation His purpose and expectations from us. He is a sovereign God doing what pleases Him. Psalm 115:3. He has power to give life and He is the only giver of life; and has the power to kill. The LORD makes poor and makes rich; He brings low and lifts up.1 Sam 2:6-7

What does God want from us?
1. To fear Him
2. To walk in all His ways
3. To love Him
4. To serve Him with all your heart
5. To keep his commandments and statutes for your own good

Everything God commanded us to do is for our own good. There is nothing we do that will increase God or improve His position. Absolutely nothing! We owe Him our life; He provided us the brain and raw materials for all human inventions. We are nothing without Him.

There is no wickedness in all He requires from us. He wants us to be holy like him and to love one another. Is God not a good God? So many have abandoned God and crossed over to serve Satan who hates us, sucks our blood and put us in bo***ge. I want you to meditate on this. Why would you not walk with God – the Lover and Bishop of our souls? Why would you prefer to miss heaven, a place of eternal glory and choose to join Satan in the hell fire?

PRAYER
Father, please help me to please you in this life, I don’t want to go to hell fire in Jesus name.
