HUNGER FOR GOD IN THE 21ST CENTURY
By Theophilus Adelanke
In the hustle and bustle of the 21st century, a time marked by rapid advancements in technology and material pursuits, one man stood out as a beacon of unwavering faith. His name was Iliyasu Abraham, a man who exemplified the power of a soul hungry for God, even in an age where distractions pull people away from the divine.
Iliyasu’s journey wasn’t always easy.
Like many, he had tasted the pleasures of the world.
He had achieved success in various aspects of life, yet deep within, he always felt a gnawing emptiness, an undeniable hunger for something more. That hunger was not for material wealth, fame, or worldly accolades—it was for a deeper connection with God. This hunger led him on a journey of spiritual discovery that would transform his life forever.
In the 21st century, many people feel disconnected from the divine.
The world is fast-paced, and the noise of social media, endless entertainment, and the pressures of success leave little room for reflection. But Iliyasu Abraham knew that the real riches lay not in what could be seen, but in the invisible presence of God’s love and peace.
One evening, after a long day of work and responsibilities, Iliyasu sat in his quiet room. The world outside seemed chaotic, but in that stillness, he was enveloped by God’s presence.
He reflected on the times he had sought answers in all the wrong places, and how, in his hunger for success and recognition, he had overlooked the true source of all things—the Creator.
It was during this moment of introspection that a deep, burning desire grew within him—he was not just seeking God’s presence for personal gain but for the world to experience the peace and love that only God could provide.
He knew that many were struggling with the same emptiness he had once felt.
They were hungry but didn’t know what to feed on.
He prayed fervently, asking God to help him channel this hunger, to make it a beacon for others.
His life became a mission: to lead people back to their spiritual roots and to help them find the fulfillment that only God could offer. Through his work, he began speaking to communities, sharing his story of transformation, and inspiring those around him to seek God first in all things.
One of the most powerful lessons Iliyasu learned was that true hunger for God wasn’t about asking for material blessings but about seeking His presence, His love, and His guidance in every aspect of life. It was about understanding that no achievement or success would ever fill the void unless it was rooted in God’s purpose for one’s life.
As the years passed, Iliyasu Abraham became a symbol of spiritual strength and dedication.
