BEARERS OF GOOD NEWS

Proverbs 25:25 KJV
As cold waters to a thirsty soul, so is good news from a far country.

Proverbs 10:5 KJV
He that gathereth in summer is a wise son: but he that sleepeth in harvest is a son that causeth shame.

We live in a time where news travels fast. As it is happening, you are already seeing it. No waiting. No filters. Just real-time information from every corner of the world.

But here is the question. What are you feeding your heart with?

What you consistently hear and see will shape your thoughts. And your thoughts will shape your life. Some things will drain you. Some will build you. You must be intentional.

There are seasons when what surrounds you feels heavy. You begin to expect the worst without even realizing it. Your heart becomes tired.

Then one good news comes. Something shifts. Joy returns. Strength rises. Hope is restored.

That is the power of good news.

Now think about this. There are people around you who are worn out and searching for hope. Not information. Hope. They are thirsty.

When you bring them the message of Christ, you are bringing relief. You are bringing life. You are giving them what their soul has been longing for.

Jesus still saves. Jesus still heals. Jesus still restores. And beyond this life, there is a greater hope in Him.

You have been given this message. What are you doing with it?

This is harvest time. Be wise. Do not be silent. Carry the good news. Share it. Let someone find life through you.

Muse: Someone around you is thirsty. Be the one that brings the good news.

Let us pray: Father, make me a carrier of Your good news. Give me boldness to speak, wisdom to reach people, and compassion to share Your truth with those who are searching.

NOT EVERYTHING GOES

Ecclesiastes 11:9–10 MSG
You who are young, make the most of your youth. Relish your youthful vigor. Follow the impulses of your heart. If something looks good to you, pursue it. But know also that not just anything goes; you have to answer to God for every last bit of it. Live footloose and fancy-free. You won’t be young forever. Youth lasts about as long as smoke.

For years people have used the phrase, “anything goes.” It sounds modern and free, but the truth is simple. In life, not everything goes.

Creation itself teaches us this. A square peg fits a square hole. A round peg fits a round hole. Try to force a cylindrical peg into a square hole and it will never sit well. It was not designed for that space. When something is out of place, it never truly fits.

Young man. Young woman. Do not fall into the trap of careless living. The world may say anything goes, but you are not part of that system. You cannot enter every relationship. You cannot move with every crowd. You cannot sit comfortably where cheating, compromise, and deception are normal. You carry a different identity. You are royalty.

You may still be discovering who you are, but God already knows. He chose you. He set you apart. That means your life must carry a different standard.

Ecclesiastes gives freedom but also a warning. Enjoy your youth. Dream. Pursue good things. But remember this. Every life will answer to God.

If you have known God early in life, you carry a great privilege. Many only realize their need for Him after years of wandering. And if you are living far from Him today, there is still hope. You can choose differently. You can return to Him.

Your life was not designed for “anything goes.” It was designed for purpose.

Muse: When you know who you are in God, you cannot live like everyone else.

Let us pray:
Lord Jesus, I come to You today. I acknowledge that I have lived my life my own way. Forgive my sins. I believe You died for me and rose again. Today I surrender my life to You. Be my Lord and my Savior. Help me live for You from this day forward.

Father, for those who already know You, keep our hearts steady. Help us not drift with the systems of this world. Strengthen us to live according to Your Word and to remain faithful to the end.

THE POWER OF A FATHER’S INSTRUCTION

Proverbs 1:8–9 KJVAAE
My son, hear the instruction of thy father, and forsake not the law of thy mother: for they shall be an ornament of grace unto thy head, and chains about thy neck.

Fathers are instructors. They are life coaches. They help their children navigate life, avoiding the mistakes and pitfalls they once encountered. Fatherhood goes beyond heavy lifting and provision. It is deeper than paying bills and handling chores. A father is a vision carrier. And vision, when properly transmitted, travels across generations.

Look at Abraham. The journey toward a promised land did not start in isolation. His father Terah began that movement from their native country. Vision flows. It is transferred. It is continued.

Fatherhood is also not limited to biological children. A true father influences lives through sacrifice, example, and guidance. Anyone who shapes your destiny through wisdom and consistent presence has fathered you in some way.

Sadly, many reckless and directionless lives today reflect the absence of active fatherhood. Some never had a father figure. Others had one who was physically present but emotionally unavailable. Instruction was missing. Guidance was weak. Vision was not passed down.

This is a call to fathers. Do not be so consumed with responsibilities that you become absent in the lives of your children. Provision without presence leaves a gap. Influence requires availability.

We may not have met many fathers of faith personally, but there is one whose life continues to speak loudly. Today marks the 84th birthday of Enoch Adejare Adeboye, fondly called Daddy G.O. A visionary leader. A spiritual father to millions. A man whose consistency, discipline, and devotion to God have influenced generations. His life is worth studying.

If you have a responsible and available father, biological or spiritual, cherish and celebrate him. Such men are rare treasures.

Muse: Not all fathers are responsible and available. If you have one, value him deeply

Call to Action: Take a minute today to pray for Daddy G.O. as he celebrates 84 years.

WHAT IS YOUR MOTIVATION?

Hebrews 12:2 TPT
We look away from the natural realm and we fasten our gaze onto Jesus who birthed faith within us and who leads us forward into faith’s perfection. His example is this: Because His heart was focused on the joy of knowing that you would be His, He endured the agony of the cross and conquered its humiliation, and now sits exalted at the right hand of the throne of God.

Everyone is driven by something. No one moves without a reason.

A father stretches himself because he wants his family to smile. A mother sacrifices comfort, career, and present pleasure because she sees the future in her children. In the business world, people compete fiercely because staying at the top demands focus, discipline, and sustained effort. Behind every sacrifice, there is a motivation.

When a person lacks motivation, he drifts. No clear vision. No compelling reason. He wakes up, works, eats, sleeps, and repeats. That is survival, not purpose.

Look at Jesus. The Scripture says He fixed His eyes on the joy ahead. That joy was you and me. He saw a redeemed family. He saw sons and daughters reconciled to the Father. That vision made Him endure the cross. He absorbed the pain. He bore the shame. He pressed through humiliation because He was motivated by the harvest of souls.

If Christ was motivated by gaining you, what is motivating you?

Are you living with intention or merely staying alive? Are you building something that will outlive you? Are you actively populating the Kingdom of God, or are you comfortable occupying space?

Your motivation determines your endurance. When the reason is strong, you will push through pressure. When the reason is weak, you will quit at the first sign of discomfort.

This week, examine your heart. What drives your decisions? What fuels your sacrifices? Let the life and mission of Christ reshape your focus. If He endured the cross for you, then your life must count for Him.

Muse: It is not too late to be motivated by the life of Christ.

Let us pray: Father, align my heart with Your purpose. Give me a Kingdom-driven motivation. Help me to live intentionally and to bring others into the joy of knowing You.

MONDAY 16TH FEBRUARY, 2026

HIDE THE WORD

Psalm 119:11 KJV
Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.

Growing up, the words of my parents guided many of my decisions. Their instructions were not noise. They were guardrails. When a parent sits with a child and teaches him how to walk through life, that child carries an advantage he may not even recognize at the time. Direction is a gift.

Look around today. Many wayward children were not born rebellious. Some were raised without guidance. Some never had quality time with their parents. Others had time, but not values. No moral compass. No spiritual structure. When there is nothing solid to pass down, confusion multiplies across generations.

Now bring it home. We call ourselves children of God. That is good. But are we living like Him. Is His Word shaping our decisions. Is His instruction hidden in our hearts. Not in our phones. Not on our shelves. In our hearts.

The psalmist said he hid the Word so that he would not sin against God. That means the Word became internal. It became the standard. It became the voice correcting him before he went too far. When God’s Word is inside you, it restrains you. It guides you. It checks you.

A disobedient child often raises a more rebellious child. You complain that your children do not listen. Pause and ask yourself. Do you listen to God. Children repeat what they see more than what they hear. If you ignore God’s instruction, you are teaching them to ignore yours.

Abraham was commended because God knew he would command his household after him. That is legacy. That is intentional parenting. That is living the Word before preaching it.

Today, make the Word of God your guide. Hide it in your heart. Live by it. Let your children see it in action. Then pass it down with clarity and conviction.

Muse: What you hide in your heart will show in your children.

Let us pray: Father, plant Your Word deeply in my heart. Help me to live by it daily and to model obedience before my children and those who look up to me.

OBEDIENCE, KEY TO DIVINE BLESSINGS

Deuteronomy 28:1–2 KJV
And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all His commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth. And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.

The pathway to God’s blessings is obedience. Simple. Clear. Undeniable.

Many people think the blessings of God are only material things. Money. Cars. Houses. Influence. But if that were true, then those who do not know God would not have them. Yet we see people who do not serve God enjoying these things daily. That tells us something important. Material things are not the highest blessing.

Have you noticed that some wealthy or influential people are invited to events just to show up. Nobody asks them to donate. Nobody demands anything. Their presence alone adds value. That is a picture of how God works. His presence is the blessing.

Everything listed in Deuteronomy 28, provision, protection, increase, victory, already exists in God. But above all of them is one blessing the world cannot offer. The presence of God. The Holy Spirit. That is what separates the believer from the rest of the world.

Disobedience does more than block outcomes. It interferes with presence. That is why Jesus cried out on the cross when the Father turned His face away as He bore sin. Separation from God’s presence is the greatest loss a man can experience.

When we ignore God’s instructions, we sin against Him, and access is affected. Sometimes briefly. Sometimes for long seasons. God’s love remains, but His manifested presence responds to obedience.

Think honestly. What has God told you to stop that you are still doing. That thing may be costing you more than you realize. Retrace your steps. Align again. Obedience restores access.

You don’t chase blessings. You obey God, and blessings respond.

Muse: The presence of God is the greatest blessing we can ever receive.

Let us pray: Father, help me to obey You from the heart. Show me where I need to realign. I choose Your presence above everything else.

WIN GOD’S HEART

Psalm 63:6 TPT
I lie awake each night thinking of You and reflecting on how You help me like a father. I sing through the night under Your splendor-shadow, offering up to You my songs of delight and joy.

A grateful soul is a thoughtful soul. Appreciation does not happen by accident. It grows from reflection. When you take time to think about God’s faithfulness, your heart naturally responds with praise.

David’s thoughts were not centered on what God had not yet done or on the pressures of life he wanted removed. His focus was on God’s goodness. The small victories. The great deliverances. The quiet help God gave like a loving Father. He replayed mercy in his heart until worship overflowed from his mouth.

Many people admire the blessings on David’s life but ignore the process that produced them. While many believers stay awake in vigils asking for breakthroughs, David stayed awake remembering God’s goodness. That difference is powerful. One posture chases blessings. The other attracts God’s heart. It is no surprise that Scripture calls David a man after God’s own heart.

Beyond gratitude, David also spoke boldly about God. Psalm 34:8 shows his passion to invite others to experience the Lord. He did not enjoy God quietly. He shared God publicly. Thanksgiving and testimony flowed together.

If you want to win God’s heart, shift your approach. Do not come to God only with lists of problems. Come with praise. Come with remembrance. Come with thanksgiving. Then tell others what God has done in your life. Gratitude positions you for divine attention.

When appreciation becomes your lifestyle, God’s presence becomes your atmosphere.

Muse: Thanksgiving attracts God’s heart faster than constant requests.

Let us pray: Father, teach me to live with a grateful heart. Help me to remember Your goodness daily and to celebrate You openly. Let my life bring You joy and draw others to You.

WEEK STARTER

MONDAY 26TH JANUARY, 2026

LET GOD BE YOUR GO-TO PERSON

Psalm 42:1–2 TPT
I long to drink of You, O God, drinking deeply from the streams of pleasure flowing from Your presence. My longings overwhelm me for more of You. My soul thirsts, pants, and longs for the living God. I want to come and see the face of God.

In whatever situation you find yourself, never place God as a last option. Do not first look for who to call, who to beg, or who to blame before you look up. Let God be your first response and your constant refuge. When rejection hits. When discouragement sets in. When hope looks distant. Let God be your only anchor.

Many believers think the best time to draw close to God is when they feel spiritually clean or when life is smooth. That thinking is wrong. There should never be a season of distance from God, but the moment you must hold Him tight is your lowest moment. After failure. After rebuke. In confusion. In pressure. In seasons when life feels heavy and overwhelming. Those moments are not for withdrawal. They are for deeper dependence.

The psalmist sought God in pain, not in comfort. He cried out while surrounded by mockers and drowning in emotional battles. Yet his hunger was not for escape but for God’s presence. He understood that revival begins with longing, not with perfection.

This new year is an invitation to build a stronger walk with God. People who ignore God in times of need rarely pursue Him in times of abundance. When comfort comes, their hunger disappears. But those who run to God in weakness grow deep roots that storms cannot destroy.

Let your heart be trained to seek God first. Let prayer be your instinct. Let His presence be your hiding place. When God becomes your go-to person, peace replaces panic and direction replaces confusion.

Muse: Desire God more than you desire anything else in life.

Let us pray: Father, draw my heart closer to You. Teach me to seek You first in every season, in strength and in weakness. Let Your presence become my refuge and my greatest desire.

USE YOUR GIFT

1 Peter 4:10 TPT
Every believer has received grace gifts, so use them to serve one another as faithful stewards of the many-colored tapestry of God’s grace.

There are traditional gifts of the Holy Spirit and there are charismatic gifts. Today, our focus is on the nine charismatic gifts of the Holy Spirit. These are wisdom, knowledge, faith, healing, miracles, prophecy, discernment of spirits, tongues, and interpretation of tongues.

Every genuine disciple of Jesus Christ carries one, two, or more of these gifts. No believer is empty. These gifts were not given as ornaments or personal badges of spirituality. They were given for function. They exist for the benefit of the Body of Christ.

The gifts of the Spirit are for edification and for the equipping of the saints. They do not compete with one another, and none is superior to the other. Each serves a distinct purpose, yet all point to one goal. The strengthening of the Church. Paul makes this clear in 1 Corinthians 14. Gifts are only valuable when they build others.

Sadly, responses to these gifts differ. Some believers are shy and bury what God has given them. Some become proud and use their gifts to draw attention to themselves. Others assume the gift is for personal advantage alone. All three responses are unhealthy. A gift that is not used for others is abused by default.

Spiritual gifts grow through use. When neglected, they stagnate. When misused, they lose relevance. God invests grace where it will bless people. When a gift stops blessing others, it risks being withdrawn or rendered ineffective.

The call today is simple and urgent. Use what the Holy Spirit has placed in you. Serve with it. Stretch with it. As you do, it will grow beyond what you imagined, and lives will be strengthened through you.

Muse: A gift left unused will rot and become irrelevant.

Let us pray: Father, stir up the gifts You have placed in me. Deliver me from fear, pride, and misuse. Help me to serve Your people faithfully and bring edification to the Body of Christ.

MORNING OF JOY

MONDAY, 8TH SEPTEMBER 2025

Psalm 30:1-5 KJV
[1] I will extol thee, O LORD; for thou hast lifted me up, And hast not made my foes to rejoice over me. [2] O LORD my God, I cried unto thee, and thou hast healed me. [3] O LORD, thou hast brought up my soul from the grave: Thou hast kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit. [4] Sing unto the LORD, O ye saints of his, And give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness. [5] For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.

Morning signifies a fresh start. A new beginning. And because light will always find its way through the gloomy dark and scary night, gloriously piercing through with a warm smile, joy is always evident. With darkness comes sorrow, and because light has effortlessly triumphed gloriously over darkness, sorrow and every shadow will fade away with the night.

The night can come with promises but when the morning comes fulfillment arrives with it. The morning comes with the sound of victory. It comes with a refreshing assurance that God has not forgotten you. The enemies may have rejoiced through the night, thinking the story has ended in shame, but when morning appears the tables turn and joy is restored.

Your morning of joy is here. God has kept you alive, He has preserved you for His glory. He has brought your soul up from the grave and silenced the celebration of the wicked. Weeping is seasonal, but joy is eternal. What you cried about yesterday will become your testimony today.

Like David, sing unto the Lord with thanksgiving. Lift up your voice and magnify Him because He has lifted you. The battles of the night are over. The break of dawn has brought with it a new season of refreshing, healing, and divine favour.

Morning has come, and with it comes joy for you and your household.

Muse: Weeping is temporary. Joy is permanent.

Let us pray: Father, thank you for bringing me into my morning of joy.
