LET THE WORD PREVAIL

When the decree was published – the instruction to carry him to the lion’s den for ex*****on, the Word in Daniel’s lips prevailed over the fear of death (Daniel 6:10). When Paul and Silas were imprisoned at Philippi and their backs were raw from beatings, when they were chained to the ground, the Word in their lips and the song in their heart prevailed over the pain and humiliation(Acts 16:23-25). Faith comes when the Word prevails over the sense evidences. When our heart is rooted and grounded in the Word, what God says is final with us. It is God’s Word planted in you that brings peace in the place of pain, hope in the midst of despair, joy in the face of misery. It is God’s Word abiding in you that settles your situation.

OVERCOME YOUR DOUBT

“Those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction” (1 Timothy 6:9). The greatest thing satan aims at in tempting good people is to overthrow their position as children of God. One of the satanic strategies is to get you to doubt God’s goodness. Satan tries to get you to forget all God has given you and wants you to focus on what you do not have because when you are spending much of your time thinking about what you do not have, you may find yourself slipping into unhealthy doubt. Doubt comes when we fail to remember what the Lord has done for us and concentrate on what we do not have. “Lord, give me this, give me that…” but what about those things God has already given you? We are mere instruments in the hands of God and when we see ourselves clearly in the light of God’s Word, we will realise that we do not deserve anything and will therefore be grateful for anything we receive from Him. God knows our needs and heart’s desires. God’s time is the best. Be patient and let God answer your questions on His schedule not yours.

DON’T LOOK BACK

Many of us, when we wake up in the morning are struck with thoughts of what has happened in the past, and those thoughts cause anxiety and guilt because of what we have done or failed to do in the past. No matter how yesterday looked like, the Bible says that yesterday is history, today is opportunity and tomorrow is mystery. Satan discusses our past because that is the only information he has about us. Each time we want to focus on our future, satan is there to remind us of our unworthy past in order to provoke our guilt and tarnish our future thereby, but Jesus Christ discusses our future. When He enters our lives, he puts an end to our past and gives birth to our future. Jesus knows that no one can overcome their past unless by the help of the Holy Spirit, (1 Corinthians 12:3). That was why He supported His disciples – all believers – with prayer, so that their faith would not fail (Luke 22:32).
Prayer: O Holy Spirit, Helper from above, help me to overcome my past, to focus on my future, what I’m born for, living for and going to die for, in Jesus’ name.

THE BEST INVESTMENT

The best investment is help. Therefore, you should build your Christian life around this principle, knowing that we serve God when we help our fellow brothers. Build your Christian life around your contribution to others by spending less on ourselves and more on others. A Christian is known by his love. Therefore, as Christians, all our concerns, aspirations and hearts' desires must be subject to the Gospel through works of charity, knowing that we lose nothing when we do that which pleases God. When we are able to expand this philosophy to a wider vision, our purpose will crystallise

THE INSTANT YOU BELIEVE

The instant you believe, you have. I mean, it is yours. Believing is possessing. Do you have a problem of believing? The problem of believing is made simple when we act on what God has spoken. Each time you act on the Word something enters your spirit that increases your assurance. When you act on what God has spoken that by His wounds you are healed, that when the Son of God has set you free, you are free indeed; you are giving God the opportunity to heal, deliver, bless and save you. The Bible says in the book of Luke 8:43-47 that the woman who had an issue of blood for 12 years did not look at the crowd and begin to imitate the action of others but rather she acted on the Word as it arose in her heart by faith and the Bible says that she was healed instantly. I mean, God answered her prayer. God will answer us when we obey what He has told us to do by His Spirit based on God’s Word. Therefore, do all you can today to obey what God is telling you to do by His Spirit based on God’s Word because faith is not imitation, it must arise in each person’s heart.
Prayer Point: Ask the Holy Spirit to open your heart to His Word, to His faith and to His Spirit.

RESPOND TO GOD IN DIALOGUE

Christianity is all about relationship and relationship is all about communication. A relationship can never be complete unless it is a two-way communication. As Christians, we must carry out our duty before the Lord can. You must ask before you receive, seek before you find and knock before the door is opened. Our duty is to press closer to God by developing our relationship with the Holy Spirit daily. This is done by reading the Word of God with devotion and doing what it says (Joshua 1:8). The Bible says we do not have because we do not ask God. When we ask, we do not receive because we ask for wrong motives. How can we know if God hears our prayer? Using the Word you have read helps us ensure that our prayer lines up with God’s will and intention for our life. When you pray, use the Scriptures you have read.
Prayer: O Holy Spirit, Beloved of my soul, I adore You. Enlighten me, guide me, console me. Tell me what I should do. Give me Your orders. I promise to submit myself to all that You desire of me and to accept all that You permit to happen to me; Let me only know Your will.

JESUS IS YOUR STANDBY

Jesus is your standby. When you believe His Word, you pray and you know it is His will. He says, ask and you will receive.
“Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them” (Mark 11:24). The Bible says prayer should be followed by an attitude of absolute trust in Christ that He is working out
the answer. Scriptural prayer releases the power of God. Fill
your prayer with the Scriptures because scriptural prayer
releases the power of God. You ask for healing so get out of
bed and walk. You ask for money so you make provision to
pay the bill. You ask for rain so you put on your raincoat. You
are ready when the rain comes. When you believe His Word,
you possess the thing that His Word has guaranteed.

LEAVE IT FOR GOD

Do you worry about your situation or do you leave it for God? Is your situation in His care? When something is in His care, that is when you say, “Leave it for God”. If you believe, leave it for God. Don’t worry yourself. Are you in trouble or pain?
Leave it for God. Don’t worry yourself. God does not need your meditation over your situation. He does not need your support to remove that situation. When you pray in that name, Jesus takes over it, then, it is in His care. So, leave it for God if you believe.

A CLEAN HEART

Each time we sin, we come short of God’s grace. When we come short of His grace, our strength and everything that makes meaning in us is gone. David must have felt very dirty when he realized he had sinned. Sin is the bitter root of sorrow. When it is taken away, we can pray in faith. Whether your sin is great or small, you can still be cleansed. Say to God, “Dirty as I am – You can still cleanse me”. Psalm 51:10 - Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.

JESUS – OUR CHOICE

When you accept Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, Jesus will become your coach. When Jesus becomes your coach, you will be asked to see what is not yet seen, hear what is not yet heard, say what is not yet said, do what is not yet done. But until you experience Jesus, you will have dissatisfaction in your life. A sense of hunger to know what life is all about; a desire to know what happens after life is over. When you have exhausted your mental and emotional resources, you can no longer rely on yourself; you simply need to trust Someone, Something stronger, wiser and smarter than yourself. Jesus who can raise the dead is our choice. Joshua 24:15

The Two Kinds of Life.

Our popular Christianity is the product in part of the Dark Ages. It is not the Christianity of the Pauline Epistles. Consequently there is much said about sin, and Repentance for sin, but there is little said about Eternal Life. If it were possible for God to forgive a sinner his sins, it would do him no good, because he would go on sinning. The thing that the sinner must have is a New Nature. He must be recreated. This Recreation can only be accomplished by imparting to him a New Nature.

2 Peter 1:4: "We become partakers of the Divine Nature and escape the corruption that is in the world by lust." That corruption is Spiritual Death. We only escape it by the New Birth, receiving this New Nature. John 3:16: "God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on Him should not perish, but have Eternal Life." John 20:30-31; "Many other signs did Jesus in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book; but these are written, that ye may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye may have Life in His Name." John 1:4: "In Him was Life; and that Life was the Light of men." Jesus came to bring to man a New Nature, Eternal Life. Until man has this New Nature, he is living in the realm of Spiritual Death, and he is a subject of Satan. Eph 2:12 : "That ye were at that time separate from Christ, alienated from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of the promise, having no hope and without God in the World." He is alienated from the Life of God. He cannot come into God's Presence. He cannot fellowship with God. His nature is enmity against God. His only hope lies in a New Creation.

In John 5:24 Jesus said: "He that heareth my Word, and believeth Him that sent Me, hath Eternal Life, and cometh not into judgment, but hath passed out of death into life ." The one who receives Eternal Life passes out of the realm of Death, Satan's dominion and realm, into the realm of life. There is no judgment for the man who s passed out of Satan's realm into God's realm. He passes out of Death into Life. It is an actual Birth out of Satan's Family into God's Family. It is mentioned in Col. 1:13: "Who delivered us out of the authority of darkness, and translated us into the kingdom of the Son of His Love." It is the New Birth. 2 Cor. 5:17, 18: "Wherefore if any man is in Christ, he is a New Creation: the old things are passed away; behold, they are become new, but all these things are of God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ." This is an actual transition of man from Satan's Family into God's Family. When he accepts Christ as Savior and confesses Him as Lord, God breathes into him Eternal Life. It drives out the Satanic Nature and makes him a New Creation. With the New Creation there comes a New Mode of Life. 1 John 3:14-15 : "We know that we've passed out of Death into Life, because we love the brethren.
