Martha said to Jesus,"Lord if you had been here,my brother would have not died"
(John 11:21)

This was the cry of Martha and even Mary of Bethany when the Lord finally came to the tomb of their brother Lazarus,who died and was already wrapped away in the tomb for four days to rot away.

Several hopeless situations confront many of us in life and we would carelessly cry, Oh! If the Lord had been here to help me.

Oh! If I had prayed enough or done something more or better,it wouldn't have been like this.

It is indeed his coming to our rescue that brings the change.

CHRISTIANS AND DIFFICULTIES.

It is no more news in Christendom that difficulties,temptations and tribulations are all inevitable.
Your ability to overcome all these determines your steadfastness in Christ Jesus.
I mean your ability as an uncompromising Christian and not other ways around.

When you see your mates doing exceedingly well and yours is somehow difficult,change the way you do things,change your environment, change the set of the people you do things with, change your behaviours,if it persists then go back to the drawing board and invite your creator to lead you.

He has promised to make you overcome all these.
"These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world". John 16:33.

This can only work for those who;(1) Walk in line with him(the creator) and (2) do only his will at all times.
"Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven" Matthew 7:21.
Emphasis is laid on the last sentence there.

I'm a living testimony,I can show to you in more than enough ways that "Once has he spoken twice have I heard that "power belongs to God"(psalm 62:11).
I mean to him alone.

I have never seen or heard that those who relied on God were ever disappointed,they could pass through some difficulties that would genuinely prepare them for a better future.So count those difficulties/temptations all joy.

"Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.
James 1:2-4.

"We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed"
2 Corinthians 4:8-9.

And let me remind you that in all those difficulties and temptations, God is still faithful and will never allow difficulties/temptations that are beyond your ability to befall you,also would he always provide a way out.

"No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it"
Corinthians 10:13.

Do not because of your present situation desert God.

Call on him on your knees.

Do not follow the multitudes to perpetrate evil.

Always be yourself and who God wants you to be.

Know that imitation is limitation.

Wait on the Lord and be of good courage Jesus shall strengthen your heart.

Amos 3:3

"I will take you from the nations and gather you from all the countries and bring you into your own land. I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean from all your uncleanness,and from all your idols I will cleanse you. And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes and be careful to obey my rules".

Ezek 36:22-27 ESV

I thank and praise the Lord for the grace given to me,the strength and enablement, also the hunger in my heart to walk with God as the word of the Lord came to me.

My personal reaction and response to give my life afresh to the saviour and to rededicate my heart to Him in a definite step of repentance is noteworthy.

While there is joy in heaven over me for this monumental decision of mine, there is great regret and sorrow in the camp of my adversary, the devil; for he has lost his grip over another soul he marked out for slaughter. I have become a joint heir with the chosen and with the Son of God in God's family. Congratulations.

In response to my obedience to the word I heard, God has committed Himself also to doing such things that will make me walk with him a victorious reality.

These definite commitments He has expressed clearly in the seven"I will"s in the above text. (Ezek 36:22-27)

My personal understanding of these commitments will give a firm under to my standing in life.
Congratulations once again to my soul.
