*Topic:* The Language of Hope
*Text:* Job 14:7

_For there is hope of a tree, if it be cut down, that it will sprout again, and that the tender branch thereof will not cease._

So God brought us into the understanding that his plans are perfect for us in every circumstances we may face, and in him is yea and amen. However, like a tree cut down, life is full of slashing difficulties here and there. Problems and situational crises differ in grades. While some people are faced with minor difficulties such as deciding on how best to run their finances or daily activities, others are facing stark turmoil and hard crises in their families, relationships, careers, and so on, with a situation that tends to bury them completely. The language for today is that of hope which is saying that it is not yet over.
Are you overwhelmed by what you are passing through currently? Probably you think this is the end for you? Are you even at the point of considering su***de as the best alternative means of escape from what you are passing through? God says he has something for you. You can still laugh over that crises. The language of hope this morning is talking to you that a wind of change is fast approaching.

So what do you think you should do? You can't just sit, fold your hands and let the enemy win the battle. There is no pleasure in failure and never is there any joy in defeat. At this point the language of hope says:

_Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall rise; when I sit in darkness, the Lord shall be a light unto me._ (Mic.7:8)

If there is hope for a tree that God called out in creation, how much more you that he formed by his hands? Come closer to God, stay strong in him and see the language of hope manifest into reality.

*Confession:* Lord I speak the language of hope to my situation this morning. I declare that there is a positive overthrow of every unpalatable situations in my life. Amen.

*Topic:* God's Plan in Every Situation
*Text:* Jer. 29:11

_For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end._

Life is a mystery. In that mystery you realise that what you definitely plan for does not easily work out the way you want it and what you actually want does not always get in your hands. Then as a result you say God does not love you; because he didn't listen to all your proposals and projections. Some may even at this point think that prayer is ineffective and useless. The fact that you don't get tired for the sake of asking, it is possible you get tired for the sake of expecting.

Every situation has its peculiarity and if you truly have God, you must know that he is in it with you. Remember the man that was born blind in _John 9:1-11_ His situation prompted the disciples to ask Jesus about the sin that had brought him under that particular state. The response Jesus gave did not tow in our line of reasoning or expectation at all, because it looked quite incomprehensible to the mind that something like that happened basically for the glory of God.

Now listen to this: are you in any bad situation presently? Do you think instead of things working out for you, they are working against you? Have you prayed and got no answer? Remember all things work for the good of them that are called according to God's divine purpose. God has a plan for you, even though the phase you are passing through currently is hard, he has his reasons. Yours is to secure your trust in him by sticking to the path of faith, whereby you are declaring that although things may not be favourable at this moment, you are very sure he's working out the best on it.

*Confession:* Lord I know my current situation is not yet my expectation; however with the eyes of faith, I perceive a change around my current situation and beyond my greatest expectations in Jesus' name. Amen.

*Topic:* If God be for Us
*Text:* 2 Kings 6:16

_And he answered, 'fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them._

Elisha was a powerful prophet of God in his time. The extent of God's grace upon him reached into the secrets of the Syrian king, where he served as helper to the king of Israel, not once or twice. The enemy realised this and felt Elisha needed to be 'taken care of' immediately. Hence, the Syrian king sent a great army against one person. Imagine that. The enemy understands clearly what you have, hence the level of battles and challenges thrown at you. The devil knew he stood no chance if he didn't throw all he's got into bringing you down.

However, the problem is not in the devil's attack, neither is it in the weight of the attack. The problem is in your doubt and faithlessness. Sometimes we face crises that seem more powerful than our faith could bear, but it is better to see God in all situations than to seek for solution without God in any situation. Elisha remained unmoved because he was seeing differently. While his servant saw defeat, victory had already registered in his mind. When his servant cried in fear, he replied calmly with proper exhibition of deep confidence.

The Bible says if God be for us, who can be against us? This means in your search for support, never look to the north or south, but look straight at God who can never fail you in the battles of life.

*Confession:* Dear Lord, I receive all boldness to mount every mountain that look insurmountable to me. With Christ I stand on an assured ground. Amen.

*Topic:* The Dawn of Glorious Shining
*Text:* Isaiah 60:1

_Arise, shine; for thy light is come and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee._

Darkness is not good at all, but it makes us appreciate light better. In this world that is filled with the works of darkness, we are encouraged to shine forth. The light is not out there but in you, if you truly belong to God. Remember the Bible says you are the light of the world. The source of light in you is Christ. So shining forth should not be a problem.

However for those who have not yet become sons of God, shining is herculean; more like an impossible task, an unimaginable height. A torch cannot function without battery, a bulb cannot light up without energy. The battery and energy in this case are considered the root source of shining for these devices. So also is the life of a man without Christ.

When the text says arise, there is a call to leave whatever you are busy with in darkness and stand to be counted among those who will shine for God. In darkness, there are many limitations, mistakes, errors, difficulties, problems, accidents, losses, and outright failures. Your life cannot have any meaning in darkness, hence the need to come to Jesus who can be the true light of your life. Your nights might have been filled with darkness but there is a rising dawn, once you come to Jesus. The dawn is replete with light and it is considered, a dawn of glorious shining. As you make your decision to come to Jesus today, we are completely ready to welcome you into a rising dawn of glorious shining.

*Prayer:* At this moment I declare that my time of glorious shining has come. I enter into the dawn of shining best.
