IGNORE YOUR STORM.

It was exactly 2:17a.m in the mid night on 12th September a
sister sent me a text that she could not sleep because she was seriously sick. I saw the text immediately, because I was still studying by then. I called and prayed for her that within 5minutes the sickness will disappear. After 10minutes or thereabout the STORM came and said “it is about 10minutes now, why can’t you call her and ask how far” I ignored the STORM by saying “she might have slept by now” and I continued with my study. When I called her the next morning, she said she slept off before the 5minutes expired.

The best word to describe STORM is DISTRACTION.

What is your STORM?

Is it DISCOURAGEMENT, remember Bartimaeus the blind, while he was calling on Jesus for Mercy, his storm arose but he ignored them.

Is it FAILURE, when the two brothers that invented plane was asked that they failed 1000times before succeeding, they replied “We did not see it as failure, we just learnt 1000times how plane can’t be invented”.

Is it UNANSWERED PRAYERS, even Jesus had to pray for a blind man twice before he could see completely. Mark 8:22-25. Jesus had to pray 3times again before the angel came to strengthen Him.

Storm is a distraction, refuse to be distracted. Storm will want you to see it as if you have done all your best, that it worth it if you give up. Even if your friends despise and forsake you don’t be distracted. When you focus on your storm, you begin to sink.
Remember Peter, he was walking on water but when he focused on the storm, he began to sink.
No matter what you are passing through, it is a storm, never give up.

You could only be successful, not because you didn’t fall but you didn’t remain on the ground.

QUALITY RELATIONSHIP

When it is 4:30p.m

Smith was a father of five children. Three sons and two daughters.
Ben was a businessman, Sandra was an hairdresser, Cole was a contractor, Adams was a medical doctor and Nancy was a student in a college.
When it's 4:30 p.m everyday, the five children of Smith would leave their different locations and gather in their father’s house. It doesn’t matter how busy they are. Ben wouldn’t want to discuss any business as soon as it’s 4:30p.m. Sandra couldn’t afford to attend to any customer when it’s 4:30p.m, not even Adams nor Cole the contractor. Nancy closes 12.00p.m in the college. No friend or party could stop her when it’s 4:30p.m.
What a great communion! Their father couldn’t wait for 4:30p.m each day to see his children. At each gathering they eat together, individual would give report on how he or she spent the previous 24hours, the friends he or she met, the advice received and so on, to their father. Smith would react to the report, advice them, tell them whom to make friends with and so on. He would also bless them and gave them directions for the next 24 hours ahead.
The five children were doing exploit and were prosperous. They were manifesting the glory of their father. Everyone knew them as Smith’s children. No one could dare to stand against them. They were unstoppable.
After two years, things began to change. They began to see reasons and excuses why they couldn’t make the 4:30pm. Smith, their father waited and waited, but they didn’t show up. Everyone began to do things on his or her own. They began to take advice from people and they eventually forgot their father.
After seven months, Sandra and Adams eventually made up their minds to go back to their father. Smith, who had been worried for a long time, when he saw them, he was happy and welcome them joyfully.
In the joyful mood, he asked, “where are others, are they still on their way?”. Sandra and Adams looked at each others faces and wept. They wept bitterly.

YOU OWN THE ROUNDABOUT

“Young man!!! you own the way, you own the roundabout. Keep moving, no one can stop you if you do. Everyone will allow you to go. Why waiting, please summon courage and move on. Don’t be afraid of the lots of cars coming before or beside you, they will all stop for you to pass, you own the roundabout.” Shouted Mr. James from his car at an ignorant young man called Mr. Buns.

Buns was on the roundabout for some couples of minutes waiting till when the road would clear. He continued to stare at each car probably they could wait for him to pass. Vehicles coming behind him were overtaking him, those from his opposite who ought to wait for him to go first were zooming off. Buns was stranded, until a man from behind shouted at him.

“You own the roundabout, you don’t need to beg or wait for anyone before you zoom off. You are already at the roundabout, you have to claim your right. Until you do, no one will wait for you to go”.

After much courage from Mr. James, Buns summoned courage, hit his horn button, he noticed a bit slow down of other cars(though they still move at a slow pace). He refused to be bothered by their slow movement. He kept on hitting the horn button and moved towards his route. He noticed that the more he moved, the more the other cars slow down until he eventually went his way undisturbed.

Beloved, the message is simple.

JESUS IS THE ROUNDABOUT

If you have Jesus, you own the roundabout. Only you can stop yourself, no one else could stop you. All you need do is to clam your right. Romans 8:31b says “ if God be for us, who can be against us?”. As you go in this new month and beyond, always remember that YOU OWN THE ROUNDABOUT.

KEEP DOING GOOD

This is a story of Mr. Abel. One of his friends came to him one day and asked for his assistance. He said, ‘ you know I just won a contract worth of millions of naira but I need capital start to it up. On getting to the bank, they asked for a collateral for the six million I wanted to borrow’. ‘How can I help you?' Mr. Abel asked. ‘ I thought of your big company, probably you could give me the documents because it stands the amount I needed in bank. In no time Mr. Abel gave him the documents for a collateral. He made lots of money from the contract but he never went back to Mr. Abel. Due to this, the bank sold Mr. Abel's company when he couldn’t provide his friend. After awhile, Mr. Abel was going on his way when he saw two men dragging a bag between one another and one of them was shouting for help. Mr. Abel quickly joined the man shouting to help collect the bag from the other man. Soon, Policemen came into the event. When they asked what happened, surprisingly, the victim said Mr. Abel was about robbing him. This led Mr. Abel to a court case. On the judgment day, as Mr. Abel was about leaving the police custody in the company of policemen, he saw a young man stranded beside his car because he had a flat tyre. Mr. Abel quickly begged the policemen “ please, allow me help that man with his tyre before we go” one of the policemen said, “ I thought you claimed it was help that is taking you to jail and you want to help again, you must be a fool.” “ yes sir, but I will like to render this last help before I go to jail. The policemen reluctantly allowed him. After fixing the tyre, they left for the court. After the lawyers had spoken for and against Mr. Abel, the Judge said, “ here is my judgment. Though no evidence to prove that you are not a robber but research proved that you had lost some huge properties, due to this, I therefore discharge you acquitted. Mr. Abel couldn’t believe his ears, as he was moving towards the exit door, the Judge came behind him and said, “ you were not discharged based on the point stated but because you helped my only son with his flat tyre. Through the Judge assistance, he also got back his company.

Beloved, remember the widow of Zarephath, who thought of rendering her last help and died, but reverse was the case. The Bible says, “And let not grow weary of doing good for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up”. Apply wisdom though!

What is your life for?

Pastor, why did you say my life should be all about God? Why? Asked Mr. Joe.

Sir, both our living and dying should be for Jesus. No matter what you are or become, it must be for Jesus. We are educated to preach to the educated. If you are poor, it’s an opportunity to preach to the poor. If you find yourself in prison, it’s an opportunity to preach to the hopeless. If you are rich, it’s an opportunity to preach to the rich. No matter what you are passing through, your life is for Jesus. You are not to complain, you are to please God in that situation. “In any situation you are, always remember that we are the sheep of His pasture, He determines our life”. Our lives isn’t to get riches, travel around alone but to serve God. Because if He likes He can make you rich, poor, sick, healthy, happy, sad e.t.c. So you are to live for Jesus. Worship Him when it is convenient and when it is not convenient. Even in hunger, serve Him. That is why we live.
We marry not to merry alone but to raise children that will continue spreading the good news from where we stop.

JESUS, The name we often forfeit

When Pastor E A Adeboye's car entered a narrow bridge with a trailer coming from the opposite. It was too late to think of how to avoid accident. Just at the name of Jesus, daddy said he didn’t know how God did it. All he knew was both his car and the trailer passed beside each other on the narrow bridge.

When Pastor U O Adeniyi had a court case that was distracting and exhausting him financially. Just at the name of Jesus, every strong man behind the case died and the case stopped permanently.

When my sister had a sudden spiritual heart attack. She couldn’t talk or stand. Just at the name of Jesus, less than five minutes, she that couldn’t talk began to talk, eat, stand, etc.
The Bible says ‘ A name has been given unto us, that at the mention of the name Jesus'… atmosphere changes, demons bow, sickness disappears, death verdict suspected, problem solves, etc.
What is your altitude towards the name Jesus. This name had saved some of us from accident, horrible nightmare, sickness, etc. Still, we keep polluting the name with sins.
O! Sinner, why should you die without experiencing the power in the name of Jesus. Please give your life to Jesus today.

Is God Stupid?

(Part of the conversations between Pastor Mark and Prof. Luis)
Pastor Mark, what you are telling me now is that God loved the world even from the beginning. Said Prof. Luis.

Yes sir, when God saw the bo***ge and suffering of man, in hasty, He sent his only begotten son to die for man in order to set man free without a formal agreement or negotiation between Him and man to accept His son as Lord and saviour. Said pastor Mark.

What!!! Exclaimed Prof. Luis. Is God stupid? How can He do that without having the assurance of His son’s acceptance from man first. Why did He do that?

Love! Replied Pastor Mark, John 3 says ‘for God so loved the world' 1John 3 says ‘what manner of love is this'. Love made Him do that sir.

So what happened, did man accept His son? Asked Prof. Luis

Sigh! It unfortunate sir, replied Pastor Mark, John 1 says ‘ He came to his own and his own received him not'. Sir, He was rejected.

What! Exclaimed Prof. Luis, human being are desperately wicked. I know God wouldn’t be happy with that.

But rather sir, said Pastor Mark. God made an open invitation. John 1 says ‘ but as many as received him, he has given power to become the sons of God'. Sir, if you won’t be also wicked, please receive Jesus as your Lord and saviour today.

Prof. Luis sighs…

Remember this sir, Pastor Mark continued, whether you receive Him or not, Jesus had already been glorified. He is presently seated at the right hand of God.
But sir, Mark 13: 3&5 say ‘ unless you repent, you will likewise perish’

The power of future. Vol 2

A prepared table.

Mr. Adebayo was into a courtship with Margaret. After a while Mr. Adebayo broke up with Margaret and marry another lady who was averagely rich. When Margaret protested, he told her, ‘there is no good in your future’ she took to her fate. Sometimes later, someone linked her to a catering school. Twenty years later, she was posted to presidential house to join the cooking crew. After awhile, she was able to meet the president, who asked for her name and after her family. ‘ my name is Mrs. Kolawa, my husband died after giving birth to my second child.’ Said Margaret. ‘So sorry and where are your children now' the president asked. Sir, the stopped education after their secondary school. The president was pathetic, he sent the children abroad to further their education and also made Mrs. Kolawa a mother, to the extent that he couldn’t conclude anything without her consent. For instance, there was a time that some people were competing for a federal contract, but one of them was able to bribe the team in charge of the contract with almost what he had because the contract was a hot cake. After he defended his project towards the contract before the president, the president said ‘ you have done well, but only one person can guarantee you this contract and that’s the woman over there, pointing to Mrs kolawa. Mrs kolawa said, Mr. Adebayo, can you recognize me? I was the one you said that there is no good in her future. But I am here today to decide your future. Beloved, never let anyone write you off. Believe in your future because God is the master planner. He will surely settle you. Even if there is no good in your future, God can give you a prepared table. Like He did to Mrs. Kolawa. Shalom!

GREATER GLORY
Despite how great and powerful God walked with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. He told Moses, ‘ I will walk with you in a way I never walked with your fathers. I will show you myself as THE I AM THAT I AM'. Beloved, I never knew how powerful and glorious God proved Himself in your life in 2016 but I tell you, beyond that, he will proof Himself in your life in a way you never can think or imagine in 2017 in Jesus' name.
