You're no longer under the negative control!
And yes, He is giving you both the willingness and the strength to walk away, every single time, at every opportunity. He is not ashamed of you!

He has given you the willingness to stop that addiction.

That habit doesn't own you anymore.

The power to say no is already yours.

Confidence in Christ, not in our works.

As believers, we do not find ultimate joy, pride, or validation in personal achievements, moral standing, or social status. Instead, our boasting and joy are anchored completely in what Christ He has done, which now becomes our identity.

We don't believe that God loves us more on days we perform well and less on days we stumble. We rest instead in the finished work of Christ.
It's a complete abandonment of self-reliance. It means relinquishing any trust in human pedigree, religious background, good works, or personal strength as a means of earning God's favor.
