Mary Help of Christians Parish, Akure, Holds Annual Outreach to the Poor

Mary Help of Christians Parish, Akure, under the care of the Salesians of Don Bosco, successfully organised its annual sharing with the poor, reaffirming its commitment to charity and service. The outreach was powered by the St Vincent de Paul Society of the parish, whose members once again demonstrated remarkable dedication by mobilising parishioners and well-wishers to support the initiative.

The Parish Priest, Rev. Fr Michael Ogunniyi, SDB, was present to officially kick off the event, offering prayers and words of encouragement as food items and other essential items were distributed to the beneficiaries. The atmosphere was filled with gratitude, joy, and a strong sense of Christian solidarity.

The parish commends the St. Vincent de Paul Society for its consistent efforts and thanks all donors whose generosity made this year’s outreach impactful. The event stands as a living testimony to the Church’s mission of love, compassion, and care for the less privileged.
