Topic: Let Your Business Becomes Your Testimony.

Text: Colossians 3:22–24; Proverbs 11:1–3.

Key Verse: “And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men.” — Colossians 3:23 (KJV).

In today's competitive business world, the pressure to make profit can tempt people to compromise honesty, quality, and integrity. A Christian businessperson, however, is called to operate by a different standard. Colossians 3:22–24 teaches believers to work sincerely, wholeheartedly, and with the awareness that ultimately, they are serving Christ. Proverbs 11:1 declares that “a false balance is abomination to the LORD,” reminding us that God cares about how we conduct business, not just what we achieve. Your customers may not know you are a Christian until they experience your honesty, fairness, patience, and integrity. Your business therefore becomes more than a source of income; it becomes an opportunity to demonstrate the character of Christ. Never allow the desire for quick profit to make you dishonest with prices, measurements, product descriptions, payments, or promises. God sees what customers do not see.

Christian comportment in business means treating people with dignity even when they cannot benefit you. It means keeping your word, admitting mistakes, delivering quality, refusing fraudulent practices, and handling money responsibly. It also means remembering that success is not measured only by how much money enters your account but by whether your conduct pleases God. A business built on integrity may sometimes appear slower to grow, but it rests on a foundation that can stand. Let people remember your business not only because of what you sold them but because of how you treated them. When Christ is truly Lord of your business, excellence becomes worship and integrity becomes your advertisement.

Action Point: Before every business decision today, ask: “Would I be comfortable doing this if Jesus were physically standing beside me?” Let your business become a testimony of your faith.

Topic: Faith That Produces Good Works.

Text: James 2:14–18.

Key Verse: “Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.” — James 2:17 (KJV).

It is easy to profess faith with our lips while our everyday lives tell a different story. James challenged early Christians who spoke confidently about faith but failed to demonstrate that faith through their actions. He was not teaching that we earn salvation by good works; rather, he was showing that genuine faith naturally produces a transformed life. If someone claims to have faith but consistently refuses to obey God, love others, practice righteousness, or demonstrate compassion, James asks what kind of faith that really is. Jesus similarly taught that a tree is known by its fruit (Matthew 7:16–20). What we truly believe eventually becomes visible in how we live.

Christian faith should influence every part of our lives. It should affect how we speak to our families, conduct business, treat strangers, handle money, respond to offenses, and behave when nobody is watching. Genuine faith does not seek opportunities to appear spiritual while neglecting practical obedience. It sees a need and responds with love. It forgives because Christ forgave us. It tells the truth because God is truthful. It rejects sin because it desires to please God. Your works do not purchase salvation, but they can demonstrate that your faith is alive. Let your Christianity move beyond Sunday worship into Monday decisions, Tuesday conversations, and every ordinary moment of your life. The world should be able to see Christ not only in what you say but in who you are becoming.

Action Point: Ask yourself today, “If someone watched my life, would they see evidence of my faith?”

Wednesday 19th August, 2026.

Topic: Abide in Christ.
Text: John 15:1–8.

Key Verse: “Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself...” — John 15:4 (KJV).

A branch does not struggle to produce fruit by itself; it simply remains connected to the vine. The moment it is separated from its source of life, it begins to wither. Jesus used this powerful picture in John 15 to teach His disciples the secret of fruitful Christian living. He described Himself as the true Vine and His followers as branches. The message is simple: spiritual fruitfulness comes from remaining connected to Christ. In an age of busyness, believers can easily become active in church, ministry, work, and family responsibilities while neglecting their personal relationship with Jesus. But activity without intimacy eventually produces spiritual dryness. Jesus said, “Without me ye can do nothing.” Galatians 5:22–23 reminds us that the fruit God desires—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control—comes through the work of the Spirit.

Abiding in Christ means maintaining daily fellowship with Him through prayer, Scripture, worship, obedience, and dependence on the Holy Spirit. It means choosing His will even when your feelings suggest otherwise. When you remain close to Jesus, He begins changing you from the inside out. Your words become kinder, your faith becomes stronger, your resistance to temptation increases, and your life begins producing fruit that points others toward God. Do not measure your spiritual life merely by how busy you are for God; ask how deeply you are connected to Him. A fruitful Christian life begins with a surrendered heart that continually says, “Lord, I need You.”

Action Point: Spend intentional time with Jesus today. Pray, study His Word, and surrender your plans to Him.

Topic: Called to Walk in Holiness.
Text: 1 Peter 1:13–16.

Key Verse: “But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation.” — 1 Peter 1:15 (KJV).

In today's world, where popular culture often celebrates whatever feels right, God calls His children to live by a higher standard. Peter wrote to believers who were facing pressure and persecution, reminding them that their identity in Christ should be reflected in the way they lived. Holiness is not simply avoiding certain sins; it is choosing to belong completely to God. Peter tells believers to prepare their minds, remain sober, place their hope fully in God's grace, and refuse to return to their former sinful desires. The command, “Be ye holy,” reveals God's desire for a life that reflects His character. Leviticus 19:2 gives the same call: “Ye shall be holy: for I the LORD your God am holy.”

Holiness is a daily decision. It affects what we watch, what we say, how we treat people, what we pursue, and what we do when nobody is watching. We cannot live righteously by human strength alone, but the Holy Spirit empowers us to overcome sinful desires and become more like Christ. Do not be discouraged when you discover areas where you still need to grow. Spiritual maturity is a journey of surrender, repentance, and transformation. God's grace does not give us permission to remain in sin; it teaches us to live godly lives. Your goal is not to impress people but to please God. As you draw closer to Him, your desires, choices, and character will increasingly reflect His holiness.

Action Point: Examine your life today and identify one area that needs greater obedience. Surrender it to God and choose holiness over compromise.

Topic: Nothing Can Separate You From His Love.

Text: Romans 8:28–39.

Key Verse: “For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life... nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” — Romans 8:38–39 (KJV).

Life can sometimes make God's love difficult to recognize. When prayers seem unanswered, doors close unexpectedly, or painful seasons continue longer than expected, we may wonder whether God is still with us. Romans 8:28–39 gives believers a powerful reminder that God's purposes remain active even in difficult circumstances. Paul acknowledges suffering, weakness, uncertainty, and opposition, yet he confidently declares that nothing can separate God's children from His love. The promise is not that Christians will never experience hardship; rather, it is that hardship cannot defeat God's ultimate purpose for those who belong to Him. Romans 8:28 assures us that God works all things together for good according to His purpose. This truth gives hope when circumstances make no sense. Jeremiah 31:3 reminds us that God's love is everlasting.

Your present situation is not the full story. God sees what you cannot see and understands what you cannot understand. Even when you cannot trace His hand, you can trust His heart. Your failures cannot make His love disappear, your struggles cannot push Him away, and your difficult season cannot cancel His purpose for your life. In Christ, you are held by a love stronger than circumstances, stronger than opposition, and stronger than fear. Therefore, do not give up because of what you are experiencing today. Keep believing, keep praying, and keep walking with God. The One who gave His Son for you will never abandon you.

Action Point: Whatever you are facing, remind yourself today: “Nothing can separate me from God's love.” Surrender your fears to Him and continue walking confidently in His promises.

Topic: You Are Not Alone.
Text: Isaiah 41:8–13.

Key Verse: “Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God.” — Isaiah 41:10 (KJV).

There are moments when life can make us feel completely alone. You may be surrounded by people and still feel as though nobody understands what you are carrying. In today's text, God speaks to Israel, a people who had experienced fear, uncertainty, and opposition, reminding them that they were chosen and had not been forgotten. His words were not merely encouragement; they were a declaration of His covenant faithfulness. God promised to strengthen, help, and uphold His people with His righteous hand. This means their confidence was not based on their own ability but on the character and presence of the God who had called them. That same truth gives believers courage today. Hebrews 13:5 assures us that God will never leave nor forsake His people.

You may not know how tomorrow will unfold, but you can know who will be with you when tomorrow arrives. God's presence is greater than the pressure surrounding you. When you feel weak, He promises strength; when you feel afraid, He offers courage; when you feel unable to continue, He promises to uphold you. Do not allow difficult circumstances to convince you that God has abandoned you. Sometimes His presence is most powerful when it is least visible. Keep praying, keep trusting, and keep moving forward in obedience. The hand that holds you is stronger than anything that stands against you. Your situation may change, but God's faithfulness never will.

Action Point: _Whenever fear speaks today, answer it with God's Word: “God is with me.” Refuse to face the day in your own strength; depend completely on Him.

Friday 14th August, 2026.

Topic: When God Is Your Refuge.

Text: Psalm 46: 1–11.

Key Verse: “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” — Psalm 46:1 (KJV).

We live in a generation where uncertainty can arise without warning. One phone call can change a person's plans, one unexpected bill can create anxiety, and one difficult season can make the future seem frightening. Psalm 46 speaks directly to such moments, declaring that God remains our refuge and strength even when everything around us appears unstable. The psalm describes earthquakes, roaring waters, and nations in turmoil, yet God's people are told not to fear because the Lord is present with them. The message is powerful: our security is not found in circumstances remaining peaceful but in knowing that God remains faithful when circumstances are shaken. The same God who protected His people in ancient times is still our shelter today. Psalm 91:1–2 reminds us that those who dwell in God's presence can confidently call Him their refuge and fortress.

When trouble comes, our first response should not be panic but prayer. Instead of allowing fear to dominate your thoughts, remind yourself of God's promises and deliberately place your confidence in Him. Psalm 46:10 says, “Be still, and know that I am God.” Sometimes faith means becoming still long enough to remember who is in control. God may not remove every storm immediately, but He promises His presence in the middle of it. You are never facing your battles alone. His strength is available when yours is exhausted, His peace is available when your heart is troubled, and His grace is sufficient for every challenge. Keep trusting Him; the God who has carried you this far will not abandon you now.

Action Point: When anxiety rises today, pause and pray. Declare God's promises over your situation and consciously choose to trust Him as your refuge and strength.
