The Bitter End of Rejecting the Truth
Galatians 3:1
[1]O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you?
Introduction
In a world brimming with different calibre of preachers with diluted; half truth and prosperity messages, the quest for truth is paramount. However, rejecting truth can lead to dire consequences. The Bible offers profound insights into the dangers of turning away from what is true, emphasizing that embracing falsehood ultimately leads to irreversible and long life regret. The pattern of messages in the present dispensation has turned so many people who go to church the enemy of truth. It has gone to the level of nursing hatred for preachers of undiluted word of God. Sadly, the truth would still be embraced but it would have been too late. We shall consider three points for clarity sake.
The Consequences of Rejecting Truth
Romans 2:8-9
[8]But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath,
[9]Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile;
Rejecting truth often leads to a life shrouded in deception and confusion. Proverbs 14:12 states, “There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.”
This verse highlights that our perceptions can mislead us, leading us down paths that appear beneficial but result in spiritual death. This is the danger. At times, preachers of half truth or erroneous doctrines make it difficult and almost impossible for their followers to discover any danger in their messages. When individuals turn away from truth, they open themselves to a reality shaped by lies, ultimately leading to despair and destruction.
The Importance of Embracing Truth
Psalms 91:4
[4]He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
Embracing truth is not merely a philosophical exercise; it is a matter of spiritual survival. Jesus affirmed this in John 8:32: “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
True freedom comes from knowing and accepting truth, which liberates us from the bo***ge of sin and deception, though it may be bitter. In a society often influenced by relativism, the call to seek and uphold truth remains vital. A foundation built on truth strengthens our faith and guides us through life’s challenges. It is truth that saves, falsehood drown the soul in hell. Truth may be bitter but if accepted and endured, the later end is sweet unending. Knowing the truth after death, (which would be many people's experience), would be so painful that one would desire a minute of second chance but such request would Christ never grant. On the other hand, escaping the danger of it rejection would be joy evalasting.
The Ultimate Outcome for the Rejecters
Matthew 25:41
[41]Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:
The ultimate fate of those who reject truth is one of separation and judgment. In 2 Thessalonians 2:10-12, Paul warns that those who refuse to love the truth will be led to believe a lie and face condemnation. This stark reality serves as a reminder of the eternal consequences of our choices. God’s justice ensures that those who reject His truth will ultimately find themselves in a place far removed from His presence, reinforcing the importance of choosing wisely.
Conclusion
Proverbs 23:23
[23]Buy the truth, and sell it not; also wisdom, and instruction, and understanding.
Rejecting the truth carries profound implications, leading to confusion, bo***ge, and ultimately, judgment. The Bible calls us to seek truth fervently, as it is only through truth that we can find genuine freedom and hope. Let us be vigilant in our pursuit of truth, aware of the consequences of our choices, and committed to living in the light of God’s Word. In a world filled with noise, may we always seek the clarity and peace that comes from embracing the truth of God.
Dear readers, what are your reactions whenever you hear the truth? Anger, snob, hatred, push aside, negative comment, unbelief? What would you do when you are faced with same truth immediately you close you eyes in death and eternity becomes real to you? What excuse would follow? It was my pastor that deceived me. I would have read my Bible myself. I would have attended a Bible teaching church. I wouldn't have followed my mummy GO.
Unfortunately, there won't be a second chance once you are laid to mother earth. Eternity had already come and no more answer to any prayers or request for mercy, because the end has already come.
It's not too late but tomorrow may be late.
Hebrews 9:27
[27]And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
Shall we pray?
