Conversations on the cross
The setting of the scenes at Jesus crucifixion
says more than we have told
Certain men were nailed to the cross
,malefactors and criminals ,judicially sentenced .
Luke 23:39 KJV
[39] And one of the malefactors which were
hanged railed on him, saying, If thou be Christ,
save thyself and us.
He depicts universal mans debacle,surviva
list,selfish ,even unrepentant.
He didn't want salvation but freedom from mans
justice
He says " if you be Christ " ,double minded and
can't receive .
Luke 23:40-41 KJV
[40] But the other answering rebuked him,
saying, Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art
in the same condemnation?
[41] And we indeed justly; for we receive the
due reward of our deeds: but this man hath
done nothing amiss.
The other,obviously is less concerned about
surviving ,he is Christ conscious .
" This man has done nothing amiss"
He is guiltless and faultless .
Within His heart he has received the free gift of
Gods righteousness,
2 Corinthians 5:21 KJV
[21] For he hath made him to be sin for us, who
knew no sin; that we might be made the
righteousness of God in him.
He just affirmed this .
Then he testifies ..
Luke 23:42 KJV
[42] And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me
when thou comest into thy kingdom.
He sees Him raised up and exalted .
He must have overheard Christ's sermons during
his persecution ,just before this crucifixion.
Luke 22:69-70 KJV
[69] Hereafter shall the Son of man sit on the
right hand of the power of God. [70] Then said
they all, Art thou then the Son of God? And he
said unto them, Ye say that I am.
Right in the midst of his suffering ,the message
was preached .
And faith was birthed .
Hence the mans confession .
This is bible repentance .
To believe .
This is salvation ,to see him crucified for us and
raised far above .
Hear Jesus
No condemnation " how did you get here ? How
many folks did you rob or kill ?
No steps to salvation " you need to restitute,say
after me,cry unto God"
No penance .No baptism.
His words of salvation blazed like liquid fire of
love.
Luke 23:43 KJV
[43] And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto
thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.
You will be with me !
This is salvation ,just as he earlier promised
John 14:2-3 KJV
[2] In my Father's house are many mansions: if
it were not so , I would have told you. I go to
prepare a place for you.
[3] And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will
come again, and receive you unto myself; that
where I am, there ye may be also.
A criminal in the law books but one with Jesus
by faith in Christ .
When we see Him,He sees us in Him.
No longer a criminal ,since Christ isn't too
2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV
[17] Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a
new creature: old things are passed away;
behold, all things are become new.
Even his persecutors saw This light
Mark 15:39 KJV
[39] And when the centurion, which stood over
against him, saw that he so cried out, and gave
up the ghost, he said, Truly this man was the
Son of God.
Glorious in His incarnation ,lovely in His death
,much more glorious in life eternal .
The new creation happens just like that ,believe
and become .
A criminal become a saint by his words which
he took from his heart ,not by mans affirmation
but by His and his !
Will be man receive any rewards at the bema .
He should .
His showed works of faith

He rebuked unbelief and ungodliness .
He should receive his reward .

All based on the Fathers commitment in His Son
2 Corinthians 5:19 KJV
[19] To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling
the world unto himself, not imputing their
trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto
us the word of reconciliation.
These are the conversations worthy of the
gospel .
