Text: Galatians 2:20-21
"I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me."

Topic: "CRUCIFIED WITH CHRIST, ALIVE IN HIM!"

Apostle Paul in epistle to the Galatians explained in details in the preceding verses, that every believer were saved by the mercies of God, we were all justified by faith and not just because of our works, but by faith in Jesus Christ

He sited himself as an example that he was once enforced the law upon the church, the enemy of the Gospel and an instrument of persecution to the church, but now he has died to sin or law and the life he live he's no longer living but Christ lives in him, because he has been crucified with Christ and he live for God through Jesus Christ.

As believers, we've been united with Christ in His death and resurrection. We've been crucified with Him, and our old sinful nature has been put to death.

But here's the amazing part: we're now alive in Christ! We live by faith in the Son of God, who loved us and gave Himself for us.

So let's live out this reality today:

Let go of your old self and its sinful ways.

Embrace your new life in Christ and live by faith in Him.

Remember that Christ lives in you, and you live through Him.

You are no longer controlled by your old sinful nature. You are now a new creation, alive in Christ!

Let Galatians 2:20-21 be our guiding truth today. May we walk in the freedom and power of our new life in Christ!

THE ACT of PENITENT BY: Doluwamu A.E Taiwo

Study Text: Isaiah 1:12-17

Focus Text: Isaiah 1:16, "Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean; put away the evil of your doings from before My eyes! Cease to do evil,"

Topic: WASH AWAY YOUR EVIL WAYS

God was speaking to the Israelites to wash away their iniquities, make themselves pure not only outwardly also inwardly, the people praying were implicated in the wider some of their society, their behaviour hindered their prayers (IPet.3:7). They needed to wash themselves before they could come to a Holy God in prayer.

Some people desire to have a smooth relationship with God. Some of us look up to some powerful men of God and we wish to be like them. One major thing that hinders our fellowship with God is sin. They lives and hearts have been stained by sin.

Today's text made it clear that anyone with a singular heart cannot do anything to please God. When we live in sin, all our sacrifices and offerings can never be acceptable to God.

Sin must be dealt with in our lives. We must purge ourselves and break our fallow ground. Minutes issues of life and character must be addressed.

Not everyone can ascend to the hill of the Lord and dwell in His holy place. God requires clean hands and a pure heart.

Purity of heart is a crucial pre-requisite for anyone to stand before God. Our heart must be purged of self and impurities.

Matthew 5:8 says "Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God" If we desire to see God in any area of our lives then we must be ready to turn away from everything that looks sinful and remove every wicked act far from us. Then we can sincerely seek the face of God and enjoy His presence.

Enough of Religious act without God's presence go beyond physical.

WORD OF WISDOM: Some have tears enough for their outward losses; but none for their inward lusts.

ACT OF PENITENT by TAIWO E. A DOLUWAMU

TEXT: ROMANS 8:31-39

Focus Text: Romans 8:39, “Neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." NIV

TOPIC: NO SEPARATION FROM GOD’S LOVE

Today's Scripture, contains one of the most comforting promises in all Scriptures. Believers have always had to face hardships in many forms: persecution, illness, imprisonment, and even death. These sometimes cause them to fear that they have been abandoned by Christ. But Paul explains that it is impossible to be separated from Christ. You can not say you love God and at the same time you did not devote yourself to His service whole heartdly, for you to say you love God you must devote your total self to His service (Rom.12:1-2).

Do you ever think that because you aren’t good enough for God, He will not save you? Do you ever feel as if salvation and restoration is for everyone else but not you? Then today’s lesson is very important for you.

If God gave His Son for you, He isn’t going to hold back the gift of salvation! If Christ gave His life for you, He isn’t going to turn around and condemn you! He will not withhold from you, anything you need to live for Him.

Nothing can separate you from Christ’s love. No power on earth or in hell can separate you from God’s love. God tells you how great His love is so that you will feel totally secure in Him.

If you believe these overwhelming assurances, you will not be afraid but you will rejoice in Him always. His love is constant. It is unconditional; it is unchanging! Stand by it and you will not be put to shame.

WORDS OF WISDOM: “Where God guides, He provides. No matter how things look, God is still in control…..”

PRAYER:
Lord, help me to stay conscious of Your love!

May we see God's love at work, working for us in all situations of our life and may His mercy speaks on our behalf in Jesus name.

TEXT: IICor.5:14-20

Focus Text: IICor.5:17, "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!(NIV) "

TOPIC: THE NEW CREATURE 2

Beloved in Christ, I welcome you to another glorious day and a favoured weekend by God's mercy and glory, may God gives us more insight of His Word today in Jesus name

The Scripture says, there is no condemnation anymore for those who believe in Christ Jesus, because they have put to death the Old man and have putting on a new Man, their past way of life and character has been changed, and the bad things they use to do before they use to do is no longer in them, but they live the life of the crucified and resurrected Christ and now:

"BEHOLD ALL THINGS HAVE BECOME NEW"
Union with Christ summarizes our experience of redemption, we are elected, justified, sanctified and glorified in Christ. Because Christ is the last Adam, the one in whom humanity is re-created, our spiritual Union with Christ is nothing less than participation in the "New creation" and we are now transformed for God's glory through Christ and by His Grace.
Once we surrender all to Him, definitely something has happened to us, a definite change which can be seen by people all around us, has taken place in our life.
The following are the experience of a new life:

I. YOU NOW HAVE A NEW HEART: (I John3:9; Gal.2:20), God has removed from is the stone heart, the sinful nature which love to sin and replaced it with a new and soft heart, obedient heart that love God and hate sin. This is what make us children of God.

II. CHRIST LIVES IN US NOW! : (ICor.6:19; Gal.2:20), our old selves, old life has passed away. Christ has taken charge of our life, Christ did not came to our life as visitor, but He came to dwells in us. He sleeps, wakes, eat, and drink in us.

III. GOD HAS CHANGED OUR SPIRITUAL LOCATION: (Col.1:12-13; Rom.11:17,24), as soon as Christ saves us from our sins, He never abadoned us in the kingdom of darkness and under the control of Satan. But rescue us and translated us to the kingdom of God in the Light and where there is Christ Satan cannot reach us anymore.

IV. WE ARE NOW CHILDREN OF GOD, A NEW CREATION, A NEW MEMBER OF THE HOUSEHOLD OF GOD: (John 1:12-13; 2Cor.6:18; Rom.8:29), having repented from our old ways and received Christ into our life, we have been given the right, power to become children of God. We can now call God our Father.

V. WE ARE CITIZEN OF HEAVEN: (Phil.3:20; Rev.20:15), our name is written in the Lamb's book of Life, although we live in this world, we are no longer of the world, we are now citizen of heaven. Heaven is our home, Christ is there, preparing a place for us.

VI. FROM NOW ON, WE MUST GROW IN CHRIST: (Rom.8:29; IPet.2:1-2; Col.2:6-7), We were predestined to become like Jesus, every baby has a potential to become great in the future if he grow steadily, in the same vein as Christian, we must grow by the word of God, in prayer, by Fasting, obeying His commandments and follow His will day to day. The word of God is the spiritual milk for our new life in Christ Jesus.

All these, God has already done for us as a true believer. And He did it for us free of charge, we must learn to give thanks for the gift of salvation by giving our total self unto Him as a living sacrifice. (Rom.12:1-2)

WORD OF WISDOM: A moment in God's presence, can change a whole story: total life in God's hands through Christ Jesus gives an eternal new life!

TOPIC: REPENTANCE: YOU BECOME A NEW CREATURE

Beloved in Christ, I welcome you to another glorious day and a favoured weekend by God's mercy and glory, may God gives us more insight of His Word today in Jesus name

Apostle Paul in today's text was giving a sure hope and confidence that no matter what may be our confession in sin, once we are in christ then the New life is certain, and the old life which is the sinful life has gone

"THE OLD IS GONE"
There are bad things, bad behaviour or character in us before we met Christ and we need a clear understanding of what God has accomplished in our life to maximize what has already occurred.

* WE ARE SINNERS BEFORE GOD: (Ps.51:5; Rom.3:5-6,23)not because of those sins we've committed alone but because we are born a sinner, every man born naturally by human parents, inherited nature of sin and so cannot please God.

*BEING ENSLAVED BY SIN AND SINFUL HABITS: (Rom.8:8-9; Jhn.8:34; ICor.2:14, Isaiah 59:1-2) Anyone who sins is a slave of sin, is bound to sin and is unable to please God. It is sin that brings separation between God and Man, as a servant of sin, we were bound to commit sin by nature.

*WE WERE IN DARKNESS UNDER THE DOMINION OF SATAN: (IJhn.5:19; IICor.4:4; Provb.4:19, Jhn.3:19-20) All sinners are under the kingdom and control of Satan. He keeps them in darkness so that even if they stumble, they would not know what makes them to stumble. He blinds and covers people's minds far away from the light of CHRIST.

Now, God says all these "THE Old THINGS IS GONE" not that they are passing away, how did it happen?

*OUR SINS ARE FORGIVEN:(Provb.28:13; IJhn.1:9; Eph.1:7; Heb.8:12) God is faithful, just and merciful, having confessed our sins to Him, He has forgiven us. No matter how terrible our sins have been. He has had mercy on us and forgiven us as promised.

* WE ARE NOW DECLARED"NOT GUILTY", WE ARE JUSTIFIED: (Rom.3:24-25; 5:10) as far as God is concerned, because of what Christ did for us on the cross in taking our punishment upon Himself, WE ARE FREE to walk closely with the Lord and serve Him.

* WE HAVE BEEN CLEANSED BY THE BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST: IJhn.1:7; Heb.9:13-14,22) soap and water, the blood of bull, goats, cows, hens and rams cannot wash away our sins, having come to believe in Christ Jesus and ask Him to forgive us our sins, we have been cleansed by the blood He shed for us at Calvary.

* THE SINFUL HEART IN US HAS BEEN REMOVED: (Ezek.36:25-27; Rom.6:6; Gal.5:24) There is a heart in us before now, that used to make us sin and disobey God. It is called the heart of stone, the "SELF-WILL", the human nature which we were born with by our parents.

Now that we have come to Christ, it has been taken away.
Old things have passed away, our old life had passed away with it's passions and desires! So we must check ourselves at this moment, has those old things, heart of stone and self will, still dwell in us or has been taken away? If it has not been taken away, today is another opportunity for us to surrender all to Christ today, because tomorrow may be too late.

To be continued tomorrow by God's grace.......

WORDS OF WISDOM: You are loved, called, chosen by God and for God, therefore live the life of Christ.

ACT OF PENITENT by TAIWO ADEFEMI DOLUWAMU
DAY 1 (ASH WEDNESDAY)

Topic: REPENTANCE: RENEWAL OF THE HEART

Text: Psalm 51:10
"Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right Spirit within me." (NKJV)

This verse is a prayer of King David, who is seeking forgiveness and restoration after committing adultery with Bathsheba and orchestrating the death of her husband, Uriah.

David's sin had led to a separation from God, and he was desperate to restore his relationship with Him. He recognized that his heart was corrupted and that he needed a spiritual renewal.

There are key themes we must take note in the life of David
REPENTANCE: David acknowledges his sin and takes responsibility for his actions.
SEEKING FOR GOD'S FORGIVENESS: He asks God to forgive him and cleanse him from his sin.
SPIRITUAL RENEWAL: David requests a new heart and a renewed spirit, indicating his desire to be transformed and restored.

In Ezekiel 36:26-27 - God promises to give His people a new heart and a new spirit and in Jeremiah 31:33 - God writes His law on the hearts of His people likewise in 2 Corinthians 5:17 - stated that If anyone is in Christ, they are new creation

Some today know how they play smart and feel unconcerned, even some never feel remorse for they've done wrong, they see it as normal way of life and to God is sin, (I John 5:17) covering one's sin add more to the sin, and Satan will always give room for covering up sin with another sin, why not confess and be forgiven through faithful repentant

This verse can be applied to our lives when we: Recognize our own sin and need for forgiveness, we desire a deeper relationship with God, and also seek spiritual renewal and transformation.

By praying this verse, we can ask God to forgive our sins, cleanse our hearts and renew our spirits. And, like David, we can experience restoration and a deeper connection with God.

WORD OF WISDOM: "A renewed heart is the result of a renewed mind, which is the result of a renewed relationship with God." - Rick Warren
