10 MISTAKES THAT SHOULD BE ABOLISHED OR REVIEWED COMPLETELY IN CELESTIAL CHURCH.......
Brethren in Christ, I feel it is high time we left the level of ignorance and embrace the TRUTH in Celestial church of Christ(John 8vs 32). Enough of some foreign practices that had over the years given us bad names and ungodly descriptions. Because, we have left the path of truth while embracing facts and traditions that has become obsolete and insignificant towards sustaining our salvation and redemption in Christ Jesus(Jer 6 vs 16). I will list these 10 mistakes and would want all parishes to look into it for a proper review and standardization.
1. The use of perfumes(which is highly inflammable) on people holding a lightened candles During Thanksgiving offering, celebration of Trance, revivals etc should be stopped immediately. Ignorance kills faster and spraying of those perfumes has no significant at these periods. Perfume will not give you the Holy Spirit, Don't be deceived(John 14 vs 26).
2. The use of broom, palm fronts and egg to cast out demons and marine Spirit at seasides or in the middle of the forest should be stopped. People have died ignorantly with this physical and mental torture and it has not been a reliable solution for deliverance over the years. You can only cast out demons in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ and that is the TRUTH( Mark 16 v 17-18)
3. Allowing strangers on protection for several days, months or years without necessary approvals and background checks is so unethical, unwise and risky. People have become nuisance in churches without the church authorities knowing their families and such people are liable to cause unexpected havoc, gossips and pandemonium. Although, Celestial church respects visitors and strangers but we should be cautious these days, especially in Nigeria where series of security challenges are witnessed everywhere.
4. Shepherds and prophets should desist from involving in Spiritual works that is devilish, magical and full of deceit. People should be led to Christ through repentance, salvation and baptism vis-a-vis consistent prayers, fasting, true worship and not Spiritual activities that would make them see Celestial church as another herbalist home in disguise( Hebrew 13 vs 9).
5. Health is wealth..... people should be advised properly on differences between medical and Spiritual approach to life matters. Our shepherds are dying every day because they hardly go for medical check-up. Always fond of drinking altar water, perfume and green water in replacement of medical treatment. Don't be deceived or fooled, seek medical attention when necessary that you may live longer(3John 1 vs 2).
6. History and stories on the pulpit should stop. People are hungry for the truth and UNDILUTED Evangelism. Our preachers, especially the Shepherds should ensure they study the two bible lessons given to us very well before Sunday service. Research shows that most shepherds in Celestial church hardly study their bibles before mounting the pulpit to give sermon. They believe that the spirit will lead them forgetting that the bible instructed us to always meditate and study this bible day and night to show ourselves approved(1Tim 2 vs 15).
7. Allowing strangers and visitors to purchase all Spiritual items during harvest bazaar while church members are neglected because of money and popularity should be discouraged totally. Such shepherds will fall into a big pit without recovery because they care not for their sheep (Jer 50 vs 6).
8. Wearing regalia and robes meant for anointees on our children during juvenile Harvest celebration is totally wrong and must be stopped. Celestial church is not a place for mockery. Don't place unbearable burden on innocent children, the repercussions might not be immediate but both parent and their children might bare the consequences (1Sam 17vs 32-40).
9. Musical nights during Harvest week should be converted to revival, crusades or Evangelism. Let our Adult harvest week be filled with Mind blowing revivals, Spirit filled crusades and Raw Evangelical outreaches. Our years of partying and display of riches under false pretense of family night, music concert, music fiesta etc has never been helpful to us as children of God. This is the truth, there is no reward from heaven to those who lavish money on musicians just to praise them in church.....the house of God is a place of worship and not a social club(Mathew 21 v 13)
10. Choristers should avoid encouraging outsiders or strangers to purchase their choir capes for them all the time. Learn to contribute within yourself and purchase good and approved materials to sow your capes that you might receive the blessing that goes along with it and not for those outside to inherit what belongs to you (Deut 28 vs 12).
