If you don't know about the movie, JUGNU you definitely weren't of age in 1973. It was a monster hit. You see, in those days there were hardly English movies in cinemas. There were some on TV but Indian and Chinese movies dominated the cinemas. Bruce Lee films were top draw. But most Chinese movies had shallow plots. It was all about Kung fu, and anything could trigger a fight including not saying good morning to someone. Indian movies were deeper but long, so long they had interlude. These were mainly love and revenge stories, and the biggest stars were Dharmendra, Shashi Kapoor and the beautiful Hema Malini. What I could never connect in Indian movies was the dance. Right in the middle of a fight scene the lead actress can just burst into a love song! Indian movies no go kii person!

Jugnu is the story of Ashok, an orphan. He is a highly intelligent fraudster but has a golden heart. And that's the contradiction, the type many of us face. We're good sinners. We keep a moral code, don't steal, don't drink, don't mess around. Why won't we go to heaven?

But let's think about that for a second. If all that goodness could get us into heaven we really don't need Jesus. Yet he came. And that's because he came to deal with the fundamental stuff - our genetic wiring. The sin nature is genetically embedded in us. Haven't you seen babies biting their mother's ni**le?

Jesus said we need to get born again. It means being spiritually reborn. We're genetically corrupt.

Another way to put it is that we're slaves to sin, sold to sin. For God to buy us back he needed spiritual currency. Blood is spiritual currency. It's why Jesus shed his blood. It's a stable currency, unlike the Naira.

A good sinner is still a sinner. Why don't you just ask God to save you. The blood of Jesus will wipe away your sin record. That robber on the right hand of Jesus got into paradise by the skin of his teeth. Don't leave things that late. It may be too late. That thief was lucky. Approach the coming year on a different note.

He that receiveth a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet's reward; and he that receiveth a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man's reward (Matthew 10:41).
..So, what is a prophet's reward? What you get by acknowledging, believing and receiving the person and gift of a prophet. A prophet brings word, etc. from God... He/she cannot give what they do not have. However, they sure have something to give; and you get that if you receive them, and sometimes ONLY if you receive them with what they bring.
.. Ditto for the case of the righteous man, but then even beyond!

How about receiving a son in the name of a son? Evidently, a son's reward is for grabs! What does a son have? Everything of his father's: image, access to the father, freedom/liberty, audacity/boldness, the father's name and influence, assets and investment, responsibility, authority, inheritance, legacy...

Well, how about this? A son carries the Father's DNA. He has the inherent ability to replicate all the father is; he is the father's seed. The power of creativity and innovation of his father is resident in him. He is the express expression of his father, and much more.

OK then. Simply put. If you receive Jesus as just a prophet, you will have access to benefits and blessings attached to that. Also, if you receive Him as just a righteous man, of course you will be able to harvest all that come with that as well.

But then if you receive Him as the Son, whom He truly is... You will have legal access to all that He has as the Son of the Most High, because you will also become a son of the Most High!
..But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: (John 1:12).

For ye have not received the spirit of bo***ge again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ... (Romans 8:15-17).

This programme on my mind!

*Testimony!*

It was on Sunday, June 28, 2020; sometime before noon, that I saw an e-flier on a platform. We had just had our Sunday Home Service in our sitting room (due to the COVID-19 lockdown).

It was the flier for the 4D CROWN Season One 48-hour Covid-19 lockdown family movie challenge for drama ministers in Nigeria. It was organized by RCCG, The King's Palace (TKP), Katy, Texas; pastored by Pastors Tunde and Folasade Badru. It was part of the programme for the church's 14th anniversary.

I left the WhatsApp group platform but returned almost immediately to look closely at the flier. I was particularly attracted and encouraged by the gift attached for the first 10 entries. I would later realize that there was to be only 10 entries; though 11 eventually made it.

I announced to my people and we decided to take up the challenge. God so good, my whole family and all with us this season are drama ministers. Pastor Obaloluwa-Emmanuel, who is also with us can both shoot and edit.

So we came up with a plot with a gospel message that my biological nuclear family could act out with the help of the others as crew. By that same evening I submitted our project.

That was how we produced our very first skit/movie - Tender Heartcry!

Precious Salau and Modupe Gbadamosi took care of the set using available stuffs as we decided while the shooting and post-production were done by Pastor Obaloluwa-Emmanuel with the aid of my android phone and his.

Worthy of note is the fact that we later discovered that Bros. Rex Nwakama, Tunde Alemeru (TKP Church Administrator/Music Director) and Elvon Jarett were the Directors while Dr. Seun Jonathan and Dr. Doyin Hassan were the judges.

Meanwhile, the films production arm (Christ's Life Line Films - CLLF) of Christ's Life Line Ministry (CLLM) has been very vital and prominent though we had not produced any film/skit. My wife and I have been members of drama teams over the years. In fact, the very first service unit I would join in a church was drama team. Our children also act.

We didn't venture into films production until now due to challenges of finance and equipment among others. However, we had been praying for God Himself to usher us into this very important aspect of the ministry.

After the event, I broadcasted it on Facebook and our WhatsApp groups. The reception and remarks have been wonderful and highly encouraging.

We are sincerely very grateful to God for how He has brought us this far.

We greatly appreciate the leadership and the entire RCCG, TKP.

We also thank our Pastors: Rev'ds. Peace and Joy Toluwade as well as leaders and members of City Harvest Church International, Abeokuta for their prayers, encouragement and support.

Our very first project coming so spontaneously, crossing national borders and delivering N50,000 gift/encouragement!
..And we are just beginning! Our hands in His hands, fulfilling His mandate.
