Theme: The Four Anchors of God's Love

Text: Ephesians 3:17-18

The Fullness of God is expressed in Love and for us to be or live like Him, we must understand the subject of Love.

L-O-V-E is a powerful concept of creation, redemption, and eternity. The pillar of Creation rest on the word of God but the pillar of Redemption and Eternity rest on the Love of God. We cannot give expression to our fullness in Christ outside the understanding of God's Love.

The Love of God is not abstract; it carries weight and can be evident. It becomes tangible when we live it.
As the bible says we must become rooted and grounded in Love; you know when a car is considered grounded, it means it is stuck to the ground except when you apply some external force(s), it remains stuck, so also we expected to become grounded in Love.

We must therefore understand How this love operates and upon/through it is expressed. The Four anchors of God's love include:

1. Passion
Luke 2:49; Eph 1:19-23; Ps 69:9

What God's love produces in a man is Zeal towards His Desires. When a man is enveloped with the love of God, His passion and zeal are untamable. Look at the life of Paul, a man who understood the breadth of God's love. The anchor of God's love is Passion. We know a man loves God by how passionate he is about the things of God.

How passionate are you when it comes to the things of God? Moreso we can't fellowship with one another when we are not passionate towards ourselves.

God bless you

In a world that constantly evolves, the call for Christians to engage meaningfully across the Seven Spheres of Influence remains timeless. Trust me when I say this journey is not just an obligation, but a privilege that enables believers to shape society's narrative with faith, hope, and love. As we draw the curtain on the theme for this month 'Spheres of Influence', our exhortation to the body of Christ about our roles in any of the spheres we find ourselves emphasizes that:

🌹 In our Spheres of influence, Christians are entrusted with the responsibility to weave threads of righteousness, compassion, and integrity into the grand narrative.

🌹As believers navigate these spheres, we must do so with humility and a servant's heart.

🌹 By being present and engaged in various areas of life, Christians should become vessels of transformation, acting as bridges between their faith and the broader world.

🌹 Crucial to this endeavor is the understanding that the spheres are not isolated, but rather interconnected ecosystems. A Christian entrepreneur's ethical business practices should influence the economy, media, and government.

🌹 In a culture where conflicting ideologies and voices often clash, the Christian's role is to be a voice of reason, love, and grace.

🌹 As we look to the future, the call for Christians to influence the spheres of society remains unwavering. It's not a call to withdraw, but rather to engage with wisdom, discernment, and unwavering faith. It's a call to be salt and light, preserving and illuminating the world around us.

🌹 In conclusion, the Seven Spheres of Influence are not just abstract concepts; they are the arenas where life unfolds, and faith is lived out. By embracing these spheres and embracing the divine opportunity they present, Christians should endeavor to leave an enduring impact that transcends time.

⚠️ As we strive to be better in our sphere(s), let us be guided by the love of Christ and the conviction that, in embracing influence (authority), we play a part in shaping a world that reflects God's heart for all humanity.

God bless you.

In a world filled with diverse ideologies and pursuits, Christians are called to be a positive influence by actively engaging in various spheres of society. The concept of the "Seven Spheres of Influence" recognizes the different arenas where human life unfolds, and Christians have a significant role to play in shaping these spheres in alignment with their faith. This article explores each sphere and highlights the role that Christians can undertake to make a meaningful impact.

1. Family:
The family unit is the foundational sphere where values, morals, and beliefs are instilled. Christians can uphold the sanctity of marriage, promote healthy relationships, and foster an environment of love, respect, and mutual support. This can be achieved by setting a Christ-centered example, through this, believers can positively impact future generations through strong family bonds.

2. Education:
In the sphere of education, believers can engage as teachers, students, administrators, and parents to ensure a holistic approach to learning. By promoting values of integrity, empathy, and critical thinking, Christians can influence the next generation to grow not only academically but also spiritually.

3. Economy:
In the economic sphere, Christians are called to practice ethical business principles, compassionately support those in need, and advocate for fairness and justice in economic systems. By prioritizing people over profit and using resources responsibly, Christians can demonstrate God's stewardship over material blessings.

4. Government and Politics:
It's high time believers stopped seeing politics as a dirty game.
Engaging in politics allows Christians to influence policy decisions that impact society's well-being. Upholding principles of justice, compassion, and the common good, believers can work towards policies that align with their faith values and contribute to a just and equitable society.

5. Media:
Christians in the sphere of media can create content that reflects truth, beauty, and redemption. By producing uplifting and thought-provoking works, believers can counter negativity and contribute to a culture that promotes hope and values that align with the Gospel.

6. Religion:
Within their faith communities, Christians can foster unity, discipleship, and spiritual growth. By practicing genuine love, humility, and inclusivity, they can demonstrate the transformative power of faith and attract others to experience the love of Christ.

7. Art and Entertainment:
In this mountain, we find some of the most influential forces shaping our society. Especially the music and art industry influencing our cultural tastes, values, and standards.
As the body of Christ, we need righteous men and women of God who are not ashamed and afraid to take their God-given talent into these industries and showcase their talents for the redemption of lost souls.

We are the Salt and Light of the world. Let us shine this light till it reaches the end of the world.

We trust God to all believers to unashamedly stand for what is right and create the positive change that our society needs.

In the history of human existence, various aspects of our society have the potential to be influenced and transformed by the power of faith.

This month, we want to delve into the concept of the Seven Mountains of Influence which is otherwise known as the Seven Spheres or Seven Pillars, and consider the effect of these spheres on our society and how the body of Christ can shine and thrive in these spheres and be an agent of transformation.

As believers, we are not only to be rooted in the belief that faith should only be confined to the spiritual realm, instead, we want to gain and walk in the consciousness of how these mountains encompass different aspects of human society.

These Seven Mountains of Influence present a call to action for the body of Christ to engage actively in shaping the world around them; by recognizing these spheres as opportunities for meaningful impact, and how believers can foster positive change in society through their actions, and the teachings of compassion, justice, and love, enriching every facet of human existence and leaving a lasting legacy of faith-inspired transformation.

Join us in our next series as we explore this all-encompassing topic.

God bless you.

Theme: The Whole Armor of God
Text: Ephesians 6:12-18

Topic: Sword of the Spirit

The sixth piece of armor that Paul discusses in Ephesians 6 is the sword of the spirit, which represents the Word of God. For a Roman soldier, the sword served as an offensive weapon against enemies. When sharpened, the sword could pierce through just about anything, making it a very dangerous tool.

To understand the connection between the sword and the Word of God, it is first important to understand the power of God’s Word. Hebrews 4:12 says, “For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.”

Through God’s Word, we can distinguish between right and wrong. As a result, we can strive to live in a way that is free from sin. His Word is the ultimate truth, and we can find confidence in knowing it is our greatest weapon.

If we are lacking in knowledge of God’s Word, we will struggle to fight against the enemy. However, those who seek God’s Word and abide by it will be blessed. John 5:24 says, “Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life.”

In addition, the sword of the spirit is unique in that it can be used as both a defensive and offensive tool. While God’s Word can protect us from the lies of the enemy, it can also counter attacks. For example, Jesus used God’s Word as an offensive weapon in Matthew 4 when Satan tried to test Him in the wilderness.

So, how can we use the sword of the spirit in our lives? We are not meant to keep the knowledge we gain from God’s Word to ourselves. When we are asked to defend what we believe, we can use God’s Word to point back to Him.

Sometimes, it is not easy to take up our swords and fight against the enemy. However, we are not called to do this by our own strength. When facing trials, we can find peace in knowing that God is on our side. Romans 8:31 says, “What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?”

I encourage you to take up the sword of the spirit in your daily life. Remember that God’s Word is the ultimate truth and that we can stand on His promises. With God on our side, we are unstoppable.

Text: Eph 6:12-18

Topic: Helmet of Salvation

The helmet of salvation is another part of the armor of God that Paul discussed in Ephesians 6. In the Roman army, the helmet served as protection for the head. It was a vital piece of the armor as an attack to the head could result in instant death.

What is Salvation?

For Christians, to receive salvation is to be delivered from our sins and the harmful consequences that come along with them. Jesus Christ paid the ultimate price by being crucified on the cross so that we might have eternal life if we believe in Him. The consequence we deserve is death, but Christ stood in for us out of His great love.
We can receive salvation if we confess our sins and believe in God’s Word.
John 5:24 says, “Very truly I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life.” Salvation is not something we can work toward. Rather, it is a gift we receive if we believe in God.

We can find peace when we acknowledge the sacrifice Christ made for us. While this world is corrupt and filled with sin, our salvation acts like a helmet in the way it protects our minds.

As Christians, we are not to be of this world. Romans 12:2 says, “Do not conform to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is his good, pleasing, and perfect will.”

Remember the story of David and Goliath? Goliath was wearing a helmet intending to protect his head from attack but as God will grant victory to David (Israel at large), there was an opening at his forehead through which the stone David threw had access to his head, and immediately, he fell and died. How much damage would it have been if he was not wearing a helmet? Our Salvation covers or shields us from the attack of the Devil that could have led to eternal death. We must ensure that we do not lose the joy of our salvation else we become vulnerable to the ever-roaring lion, the Devil.

When we put on the helmet of salvation, we can avoid sinful thoughts and understand what is good and true. When we forget to do this, we are susceptible to thoughts that are planted in us by the enemy, who seeks to harm our walk with Christ.

I encourage you to put on the helmet of salvation in your daily life so that you may be confident in Christ. Remember that to keep it secured, we must fully submit to His ways. When God is on our side, there is no battle we cannot face in this world.

We meet again today to pray for a shield over every Missionaries all over the World and we will be meeting by 11 pm. To join, contact wa.me/2348133207601

Theme: Whole Armor of God
Text: Ephesians 6:12-15

Topic: Shield of Faith

The fourth piece of armor Paul discussed in Ephesians 6 is the shield of faith. He tells us to take up the shield of faith in order to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.

For a Roman soldier, a shield was used as a form of protection. It was worn strapped to one’s arm and, at any time, it could be held up to deflect attacks. In addition, it could be used as an offensive weapon to knock enemies over with force.

What does it mean to have faith, and how can this be related to a shield?
Hebrews 11:1 says, “Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.” Faith is more than just a feeling. To have faith is to believe God created the world and sent His only Son to die for our sins so we might have eternal life.
As Christians, the faith we have in Christ is based in reality. Romans 1:20 says, “For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities – his eternal power and divine nature – have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.” Even though we cannot physically see God, He has manifested Himself through creation. Therefore, our faith in Him is based on this truth.

If we have faith in Christ, this will influence the way we live. Our faith can guard us during trials in the same way a shield would during battle. For example, when doubt creeps in and our beliefs are questioned, our faith in Christ will protect us. We can stand firm in knowing what we believe.

We have established the fact warfare is inevitable, above all the weapons of war we may gathered, the Bible introduced the most potent one and it says, above all, take up the Shield of Faith. Bible also recorded in 1john 5:4 “...this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our Faith.”

In addition, our faith can protect us when we experience anxiety and fear. Isaiah 41:10 says, “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous hand.” If we have faith in God’s promises, we do not need to fear.

It is important to realize that doubt, fear and anxiety are attacks from the enemy. Taking up the shield of faith will protect us and allow us to fight back against these attacks. In addition, as the body of Christ, we can help each other to grow stronger in our faith by living in community.

The beginning and end of the journey of a Christian Life is based on Faith.
I encourage you to apply the concept of the shield of faith to your life. Remember that when we put our faith in Christ, we are unstoppable.

Shoes of Preparation of the Gospel of Peace

In Ephesians 6, Paul tells us to stand firm with our feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.

It may seem strange to consider shoes to be part of your armor, but can you imagine going to battle shoeless? You would most likely be in pain with every step, as you pass over all kinds of harsh landscape. Ultimately, it would inhibit your ability to fight.

So, how can the gospel of peace be related to shoes? To start, we must understand what the gospel of peace is. The word “gospel” means “good news,” referring to the sacrifice Jesus made for us so that we can be saved. As a result, this brings us peace.

As Christians, we are called to share the good news of Christ with others. Having our shoes fitted with the gospel of peace allows us to do this successfully.

John 14:27 says, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” With God’s strength, we can be brave in sharing our faith with others. Jesus already defeated death, so we do not need to be afraid.

Our shoes equip us to walk through rough areas. In the same way, having hope in Jesus helps us walk through the trials we face. John 16:33 says, “I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”

Just like having a good pair of shoes can help us walk across rough terrain, having confidence in Christ allows us to boldly proclaim His name. While we may face persecution in this life, we can rest in knowing the Savior of the world loves us and cares for us.

Having our feet fitted with the shoes of the gospel of peace allows us to be ready to share God with others at all times. As Christians, we should always be prepared, as we never know when an opportunity may arise to share the good news of the gospel with someone else. Ultimately, the shoes of peace equip us to fight for Christ in the spiritual battles we face.

THE WHOLE ARMOR OF GOD

BELT OF TRUTH
Eph 6:14a

Belts are a key piece of wardrobe. There is one belt that every Christian should wear no matter their wardrobe. It is the belt of truth and a key piece of our Spiritual Armor.
There is a reason why Paul listed this as the first armor.

The Belt is used to fasten other dresses or accessories worn to make them fit. The Truth in this context refers to Jesus, the Word (John 14:6)

The Belt is where Roman soldiers store their weapons. Without a belt, they could not carry a weapon. So why does Paul associate the belt of a soldier with the truth?
For Christians, God's word is truth and it serves as our foundation (2 Timothy 3:16) If our beliefs are not rooted in God's word, we cannot expect to fight battles for Christ.

Just as a belt is worn close to the body, we should hold God's truth close to us and allow it to surround us. When we remain in His word, we can distinguish what is true from what is untrue.

The Bedrock of any becoming in the kingdom is the amount of Truth known (John 8:32). Your subsequent growth is also at the mercy of the Truth discovered.

The tighter the belt is, the firmer the cloth is. Also, the more the truth you know, the more you look like Jesus.

BREASTPLATE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS

The second piece of the armor of God that Paul discusses in Ephesians 6 is the breastplate of righteousness.

In the armor of a Roman soldier, the breastplate served as protection for some of the most important parts of the body. Underneath the breastplate is the heart, lungs, and other organs necessary for life. Therefore, if a soldier did not wear his breastplate, he was vulnerable to an attack that could result in instant death.

So, why does Paul call it the breastplate of righteousness? If we do not protect ourselves with righteousness, we open ourselves up to attack from the enemy and can fall into sin.

To be righteous means to obey God’s commandments and live in a way that is honorable to Him. Psalm 106:3 says, “How blessed are those who keep justice, who practice righteousness at all times!”

Unfortunately, our sinful nature often gets in the way of living an upright life. When we decide to live based on our desires rather than God’s, we make decisions that are harmful to ourselves and others. Romans 8:6 says, “So letting your sinful nature control your mind leads to death. But letting the Spirit control your mind leads to life and peace.”

Our Vulnerability to attack is secured when we are in right standing with God cos He himself becomes our shield.
(Ps 28:7, 91:4, 18:2)

How can we put on the breastplate of righteousness? We can start by being knowledgeable of God’s Word, which will allow us to understand how to live a righteous life. When trials and temptation come our way, we can base our decisions on His Word.

In addition, through prayer, we can ask God to empower us to resist living in sin and to do what is right according to Him. 1 John 3:22 says, “And we will receive from him whatever we ask because we obey and do the things that please him.”

As Christians, we can put on the breastplate of righteousness in our daily lives. In becoming aware of the decisions we make, we can determine whether or not they are based on God’s Word. In addition, we can ask Him to give us the strength to live righteously. Ultimately, this will allow us to withstand attacks from the enemy and live in ways that glorify Christ.
