*Topic*: *"Revocation of the Gift of God"*

*Bible Verse:*

- *Romans 11:29*: "For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable."

*Sermon:*
➖➖➖➖➖

The Bible teaches that the gifts and calling of God are irrevocable. This means that once God has given us a gift or called us to a particular purpose, He will not take it back.

However, there are some conditions under which God may revoke His gift.

*For example:*
➖➖➖➖➖➖

- *Disobedience*: If we disobey God's commands and refuse to repent, He may revoke His gift (1 Samuel 15:22-23).

- *Pride and arrogance* : If we become proud and arrogant, thinking that we are the source of our gifts and abilities, God may revoke His gift (1 Corinthians 4:7).

- *Lack of stewardship*: If we fail to use our gifts and abilities responsibly, God may revoke His gift (Matthew 25:14-30).

*Bible Examples:*

- *King Saul*: King Saul was chosen by God to be the first king of Israel, but he disobeyed God's commands and was rejected by God (1 Samuel 15:22-23).

- *The talents*: In the parable of the talents, the servant who failed to use his talent responsibly had it taken away from him (Matthew 25:14-30).

- *Psalm 27:1, 5*: "The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? ... For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion; in the secret place of His tabernacle He shall hide me; He shall set me high upon a rock."

*Sermon:*

In times of trouble, we often feel overwhelmed and uncertain about the future. But as believers, we have a promise of mercy from God. Psalm 27 reminds us that God is our light, salvation, and refuge in times of trouble.

When we face difficulties, we can run to God's pavilion, where He will hide us and protect us. We can trust in His mercy and goodness, knowing that He will set us high upon a rock, where we will be safe and secure.

- *Psalm 46:1-3*: "God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging."

Dear Heavenly Father,

We thank you for your mercy and goodness in times of trouble. Help us to run to you as our refuge and strength.

Protect us from harm and set us high upon a rock, where we will be safe and secure.

The Character of God's Mercy
God's mercy is not just a feeling or an emotion, but it is a fundamental character of who He is. *Psalm 103:8* says, "The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in mercy."

The Extent of God's Mercy
God's mercy extends to all people, regardless of their background or circumstances.

*Romans 3:23-24* says, "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus."

*The Expression of God's Mercy*

God's mercy is expressed in many ways, including:

- *Forgiveness*: God forgives our sins and wipes away our guilt (Psalm 103:12).

- *Healing*: God heals our physical and emotional wounds (Psalm 107:20).

- *Protection*: God protects us from harm and danger (Psalm 121:7-8).

*Topic :* *"The Blessings of a Godly Family"*

*Bible Verse*

- *Psalm 128:1-6*: "Blessed is everyone who fears the Lord, who walks in His ways! You will eat the fruit of your labor; blessings and prosperity will be yours. Your wife will be like a fruitful vine within your house; your children will be like olive shoots around your table. Yes, this will be the blessing for the man who fears the Lord. May the Lord bless you from Zion all the days of your life; may you see the prosperity of Jerusalem, and may you live to see your children's children. Peace be upon Israel."

*Sermon*

In many village families, we see a beautiful picture of a godly family. The parents work hard to provide for their children, and the children grow up learning the value of hard work and obedience to God.

In Psalm 128, we see the blessings that come to a family that fears the Lord. The family is blessed with prosperity, peace, and a fruitful vine (representing the wife) and olive shoots (representing the children).

As we reflect on this psalm, let's remember the importance of fearing the Lord and walking in His ways. Let's pray for our families to be blessed and to be a blessing to others.

We thank you for the blessing of family. Help us to fear you and walk in your ways.
