Somebody said that I would follow Jesus “with too much devotion”. But who can prove that my coffee is too sweet for me? It is a matter of personal preference. Not so? As for me I cannot get enough of Jesus. “To me He is so wonderful…because He first loved me”. What about you? God bless you.

Christians are a new race. They mystified the pagans. They knew what was never known on earth before. The Lord’s resurrection had taken place. Christ was risen from the pit of death, made mockery of the silly seal of Rome upon His tomb. But Jesus broke something far mightier than a waxen seal of a world-power. He broke the power of death. “O death where is your victory?” (1.Corinthians 15,55). Rejoice!

To the Glory of God the Father.
Philippians 2:6-11 describes how Christ sacrificed Himself for us, obedient to the death of the Cross for us and our salvation. What status that gives us mortals! Christ died for us! But wait! The passage has a surprise ending. We read “Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” We would think that that is the end but it is not. It concludes with these revealing word – “TO THE GLORY OF GOD THE FATHER”. We are saved not just for our own benefit, but for the glory of God. WHY? “That in the ages to come he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in His kindness to us in Christ Jesus’ (Ephesians 2:7). He saved us for the glory of God. That is why He suffered so much for us, paid such a price – to bring His Father glory. That is our ultimate purpose, we are saved to His praise and glory. God is all in all. Even in the year 2016.

Two thousand years ago The common people heard Jesus gladly”. They still do. The work of Christ is never boring. It has nothing to do with routine observances. ‘Religion’ is not the Gospel nor is the Gospel religion. It is a release of the power of God. Every conversion is an act of God, individual and unique. Conversion is not just a change of attitude but a creative act of God. The Holy Spirit is involved. Salvation is of the Lord. God is determined to save. It is His very character. What Jesus offered is the essential of life and can’t be substituted any more than we can substitute the air we breathe. God bless you today.
