*NEW YEAR MESSAGE*
Dear people of Ado Battalion Council,
On behalf of the Office Bearers, I want to first and foremost give glory to God, the giver of life and keeper of same, for protecting us till this moment. It was Him all through.
I also want to appreciate the Boys, Officers, Patrons, Parents and well wishers of Ado Battalion Council for how far we’ve come in about a year. It’s not much, but we’re celebrating the little wins.
Fresh from the emergence of a new administration, we were able to pick up the pace from the interim administration that handed the baton over to us, starting with the Annual Rededication Service of the Battalion Council, to the weekly Band/Brass Training, Mid-Year Revival (first of its kind in the Battalion Council, and dare I say, the State Council), annual Battalion Camp/Competitions, and 4th Music Concert/Christmas Carol (resuscitated after 4 years of abandon).
Then the ones that we consider the most valuable of the things we’ve done:
For the first time in years, the Battalion Council was able to successfully agitate to the State Council for the distribution of BB Week donation cards, so as to ensure a fair and transparent BB Week exercise, which birthed positive results. The act saw Ado Battalion Council become the highest remitter of donated funds among the seven other Councils in the State Council, and by extension saw a significant increase in the remittance of the State Council to the National Council, in recent years.
