The Faith that catches God

Understanding our God is definitely a herculean task.

Jesus Christ showed us two path to receiving from Him, the place of becoming as a child(Matt. 18:3-4), where we sit expectantly trusting Him to do for us what He said He would do, that's the child like faith.

Then , Jesus Christ showed us the place of violence(Matt. 11:12), where we go out of the reasonable norm to press unto God to receive that which He has provided for in Himself, here God seeks to work with us.

Both of those is based on faith, and it helps us to understand that faith is yielding unto God , choosing to do it in God's way, it shows us the need to stay with God, in order to be updated on what He is saying per time, to recognise what He is doing and what we are required to do.

Every Christian who seeks God , will always walk in this path.

My emphasis however is the 'going out of your way kind of faith'. The revelation of Faith by Jesus Christ is more of God choosing to work WITH man rather than God doing it for man.

Take a look at the woman with the issue of blood for twelve years(Mark 5:25-34). She recognised her moment and siezed it. She had heard about Jesus Christ, the testimony she had heard was enough for her to believe that there was a provision for her in Christ.

👉 The testimonies of Christ is a revelation unto us showing us what is available, what is prepared for us.

This testimony she heard was an invitation to go for faith!.

She didn't sit back waiting for Jesus Christ to discern her prophetically, she went for it, and immediately her provision was released unto her.

I hope you know even though God is omnipotent, yet He orders provision suited to what He is doing per time, which makes some ask and not receive because they asked amiss.

If there is one way , to know what God is making available unto you, it is revealed in the testimonies He sets you up to hear and receives. Testimonies of Jesus Christ are pointers unto Him than at any human.

Now, the woman had heard of Jesus Christ, what she heard was enough for her to believe that her own provision was available in Jesus Christ, she didn't sit for anybody to take her to Jesus Christ, she went for it by herself, and immediately that faith made a withdrawal for her provision.

Brethren, God is inviting you, how? The testimonies He has set you up to hear is the invitation card, He is calling you to come!

Gideon in the book of Judges 6:13 said , where are the testimonies of His mighty works which we have heard from our fathers, meanwhile these testimonies are set up to invite him to the faith of leading the nation's deliverance.

Brethren, your healings, your deliverances, your breakthroughs, etc, are already revealed unto you thru the testimonies of Christ which you've heard, it's time to exercise your faith to get them.

Allow God to send you.

Just as hunger is an invitation to find food suitable to eat and quench the hunger.

God often set us up to face dissatisfying situations, He stands watching us how we react to them.

Many of us only ends by talking and complaining about those situations, grumble like every other person.

Beyond that, as Christians, seeing any dissatisfying situation is a calling from God, inviting us to seek Him for solution.

The Bible says, anyone who seeks, shall find.

Gideon was hiding and complaining like every other person, because the midianites had been afflicting them, but the Angel of God in response said, 'Go in this thy might... (judges 6:12-14).

You as a Christian that is baptized in the Holy Spirit is laden with the power of the Holy Spirit, as a born again the anointing of the new creation is in you. This power is more than sufficient to solve the problem.

But, the power will not flow, the anointing won't work until you seek the God of solutions on the matter and His voice will come through to you to send you as the solution to the challenge.

Stop overlooking those dissatisfying situations, your calling is in them, pick them up and seek God for solutions, He will send you because His power is already in you.

Seek Him by Prayers, seek Him by praise, seek Him by scriptural meditation, seek Him by fasting.

Just that even though the blessing comes as inheritance thru Abraham in Christ, yet the blessing when he comes will cost you dearly, it will take money off you! It will take service. But the reward is always beyond your hands. Abraham paid, Jesus Christ paid, you will also.

One of the things that God does to drive a chosen person is to give them a vision, a vision showing them possibilities. This becomes a fire in their bones to pursue and seek God afresh. May you receive new visions to pursue God afresh.

The faith that birth encounter begins from responding to the burden or desire in you, as you press into God, finding answers, you will find Him. God's answers is an extension of Him. Whereas the faith that birth miracles begin from what God said!

Three channels to connect to God in the new year.

1) Connect to God by paying the price to find Him

The scripture says in Matthew 7:7, "... that we should 'seek' and we shall find." it says further, 'to him who seek, he shall find'.

Only few dimensions of God is available at surface, the major ones are hidden. Isaiah 45:15, talks about 'God hiding Himself'.

So as you cross over into the new year, commit yourself to paying the price of finding God earnestly. (Matt. 13:44, Jeremiah 29:13)

2) Connect to God by sacrifices of giving and covenants.

God by melchizedek said to Abraham after he had given a tithe in Genesis 14:18-20., 'Blessed be Abram of the most high God possessor of heaven and earth...'
Abram did just have the words, he connected by the covenant of Tithing.

Abram connected to God again as he responded to offer Isaac as a sacrifice as demanded by God in Genesis 22:11-18. It was there that God said 'in his seed shall all the nations of men be blessed'.

So, you also got to walk in the same pattern to obtain your own dimensions of God by this form.

3) Connect to God by obedience to Him in Holiness and scriptural living.

The proof of your love for God is in your obedience to His words.(John 14:15).

God is Holy, which is He is not common, He is distinct. As such if we will connect to Him at that level, we have to make a habit and a culture of obeying Him. The scripture is there as an infallible rule to gauge and guide us.(2 Timothy 3:16).

Finding rest in God's faithfulness

We are fruitful because of God's faithfulness. You may plant and water a seed, it takes God's faithfulness for it to germinate and bear fruit.

Our faith journey may surely take us along the place of exhaustion, drought, confusion etc. Yet none of that defines who God is, they are conditions attached to the earth and our earthly limitations. It is within these issues that we either press into God for His voice or settle back to take a hold of His promises which He gave to us before we entered the journey.

Moses would later say unto the Israelites in Deuteronomy 8:2-3, God checked them through the hunger and thirst to know if they would trust Him. Why?, because God had given them promises before they set out on the journey, He expected them to return to those promises rather than fall into offense.

John the Baptist had forgotten the prophecies, while he was in prison he said his disciples should ask Jesus if he indeed he's the Messiah(Luke 7:18-23). John said this out from the place of his dark moments. Jesus Christ didn't give him a straight forward response, He simply told John's disciples to go tell him testimonies in order to remind John.

Brethren, learn to get back to promises God made to you before the journey began, take a hold of it in prayer to get through the present seasons.

Hagar was sent out of the house by Abraham with no provision, save for water. God said Ishmael would be great, that was all Abraham heard and released him with Hagar his mother. When the water was finished in Genesis 21:15-19, Hagar left the child to die of thirst, but the child called upon God in that moment, God responded by opening Hagar's eyes to see the provision ahead.

We also should learn to press in unto God rather than fall into the offense of using foul words, we should rather ask God for His intervention, and from His new promises, will come fresh peace to get through the journey.

Brethren, God is faithful, but we won't know by experience unless we are willing and obedient in seeking Him either by falling back on His promises or pressing ahead for His fresh promises.
