Title: Don’t Be Led By Circumstances.

Scripture Reference:
2 Corinthians 5:7.
“For we walk by faith, not by sight.”

Walk By Faith, Not Circumstances.
One of the greatest mistakes a believer can make is allowing circumstances to determine his decisions and actions. Circumstances are real, but they are not the highest authority over your life. The Word of God is. What you see today may change tomorrow, but God's Word remains forever. Faith teaches you to respond to what God has said rather than react to what circumstances are saying.

Don't Let What You See Decide.
Circumstances can suggest fear, give reasons to quit, or make difficult situations appear final. But the believer must learn to look beyond the situation and see through the eyes of faith. Abraham did not allow his old age to determine what he believed about God's promise; he became “fully persuaded” that God was able to perform what He had promised (Romans 4:21). Your condition may speak, but it does not have the final word.

Let the Word Lead You.
Before you make a decision, ask, “What has God said?” The Holy Spirit and the Word of God must guide your choices, not pressure, fear, disappointment, or temporary circumstances. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” A spiritually mature believer does not allow circumstances to dictate his direction; he allows God to lead him.

Keep Walking.
Do not abandon God's purpose because the present situation looks contrary. Keep believing, keep obeying and keep moving in the direction God has given you. Your circumstances are not your compass; God's Word is your compass. Let faith govern your response, let the Holy Spirit guide your steps and refuse to make permanent decisions based on temporary situations. Walk by faith and you will not be controlled by what you see.

Prayer.
Heavenly Father, help me never to succumb to the influence of circumstances. Help me to trust Your Word, follow Your Spirit and make every decision by faith in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Spirit Encounter Devotional.

Title: Walking In Power.

Scripture Reference.
Acts 1:8.
“But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”

Power For A Purpose.
Power is God's ability working through a man to accomplish His purpose and produce divine results. Jesus did not promise the Holy Ghost merely to make us feel spiritual; He promised power. This power enables the believer to live beyond natural limitations, demonstrate the reality of Christ, and become effective in God's assignment. The Holy Ghost in you is God's ability at work in you.

Power Makes You A Witness.
Jesus clearly connected the coming of power with becoming a witness. We are witnesses of His death, burial, resurrection, and the transforming effect of His finished work in our lives. Your testimony should not remain a private experience. The world should see the evidence of Christ in your words, character, faith, service, and works. The power is given so that your life can testify that Jesus is alive.

Don't Just Have Power, Walk In It.
A believer can know about the power of the Holy Ghost and still fail to yield to Him. Walking in power requires dependence on the Spirit, obedience to God's Word, boldness in witnessing, and willingness to be used by God. Paul said, “For our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Ghost” (1 Thessalonians 1:5). Don't settle for a powerless Christian experience. Yield yourself to the Holy Ghost and let God's ability work through you, bringing about dynamic changes.

Become The Witness.
There is a world waiting to see what Christ can do through a yielded believer. Go beyond talking about Jesus, represent Him. Pray for the sick, preach the Gospel, encourage the broken, confront darkness with truth, and demonstrate the love and power of Christ wherever you go. You have received power. Now become the witness. Walk in power and let Jesus be seen through you.

Prayer.
Heavenly Father, thank You for filling me with the power of the Holy Ghost. I receive more grace to be an effective witness of Jesus Christ wherever I go in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Spirit Encounter Devotional.

Title: Enemies Of The Cross.

Scripture Reference.
Philippians 3:18.
“For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ:”

The Cross Has A Message.
The cross is not merely a symbol of Christianity; it represents the death of the old life and the call to live for Christ. Paul spoke with tears about people who claimed to walk with Christ while living in opposition to the message of the cross. The cross calls us to repentance, self-denial, obedience, and a life surrendered to Jesus. Therefore, anyone who consistently rejects these demands while claiming Christ is resisting the very message that brought salvation.

When Desire Rules.
Paul continued by saying of these people, “Whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things” (Philippians 3:19). Their appetite has become their master. They pursue what pleases the flesh rather than what pleases Christ. The cross confronts selfishness because following Jesus requires us to deny ourselves. Jesus said, “If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me” (Matthew 16:24).

The Cross Must Change You.
You cannot embrace Christ while continually rejecting the transformation He demands. Paul declared, “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me” (Galatians 2:20). The cross changes our values, priorities, desires, and direction. Christianity is not simply receiving the benefits of Christ's death; it is also identifying with Him in a life of obedience. The question is not only, “Have I received Christ?” but also, “Is my life reflecting Christ?”

Live For The Cross.
Do not become an enemy of the cross by allowing the flesh, worldly ambitions or personal desires to become more important than Jesus. Let the cross remain the centre of your Christian life. Choose obedience when it costs you. Choose holiness when compromise is easier. Choose Christ when the world offers another direction. Our Lord Jesus saved you through the cross and the cross must continue to shape the way you live.

Prayer.
Heavenly Father, today , I receive the grace to deny myself, follow Christ and live to please You in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Spirit Encounter Devotional.

Title: Remember His Mercy.

Scripture Reference.
Psalm 106:13.
“They soon forgat his works; they waited not for his counsel:”

Never Forget His Works.
One of the dangers of spiritual forgetfulness is that it makes us treat God's faithfulness as though it never happened. Israel had witnessed God's mighty works, yet they “soon forgat his works.” They remembered the difficulty they were facing but forgot the God who had delivered them before. Never allow today's challenge to erase yesterday's testimony. When you remember what God has done, your confidence in what He can still do becomes stronger.

Remember His Mercy.
God's mercy is one reason we are still standing. Psalm 103:2 says, “Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits.” There are battles God fought for you that you never saw, dangers He delivered you from, doors He opened, and provisions He supplied. Sometimes what we call ordinary life is actually the evidence of extraordinary mercy. Stop and remember. You have more reasons to thank God than you have reasons to complain.

Wait For His Counsel.
Israel not only forgot God's works; they “waited not for his counsel.” Forgetting what God has done can make us impatient with what He is doing. When we refuse to wait for His direction, we are tempted to make decisions according to our own understanding. Proverbs 3:5–6 says, “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” Remember His faithfulness, then wait for His counsel.

Let Memory Produce Faith.
Today, deliberately remember God's goodness. Remember the prayers He answered, the times He made a way, the people He used, and the strength He gave you when you thought you would not make it. Let your remembrance produce gratitude, patience, and confidence in God. The God who has been faithful before has not changed. Don't forget His works, don't despise His mercy, and don't run ahead of His counsel.

Prayer.
Heavenly Father, I receive grace never to forget Your mercy and faithfulness. That I will always remember Your works, wait for Your counsel and trust You completely in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Spirit Encounter Devotional.

Title: The Cost Of A Soul.

Scripture Reference.
Matthew 16:26.
“For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?”

More Than The World.
Jesus deliberately compared the value of one human soul with the entire world. What a powerful statement! If a man could possess everything this world offers and still lose his soul, his greatest achievement would end in eternal loss. This means that, in God's estimation, nothing on earth is more valuable than a soul. Wealth, influence, possessions, fame, and success cannot equal the worth of one eternal soul.

The Price Reveals The Value.
God demonstrated the value of the human soul by giving His only begotten Son. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son” (John 3:16). Jesus did not come merely to improve people's lives; He came to save souls from sin and eternal destruction. The cross is God's declaration of the value He places on humanity. If heaven considered one soul worth the sacrifice of Christ, we must never consider any soul insignificant.

What Do Souls Mean To You?
Your attitude toward the unsaved reveals how much you understand the heart of God. Jesus said, “The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few” (Matthew 9:37). There are people within your family, workplace, neighbourhood, business, school, and daily sphere of influence who need to hear the Gospel. Don't become so occupied with your own pursuits that you forget the souls around you. Someone's eternity may be affected by your willingness to speak about Jesus.

Go For Souls.
The greatest investment you can make is an investment in souls. Pray for the lost. Speak to them about Christ. Invite them to hear the Gospel. Show them the love of Jesus. Don't wait for a perfect opportunity; use the opportunities God gives you today. Let the cry of Paul's heart become yours: “Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men” (2 Corinthians 5:11). Go for the soul. Someone is worth your effort. Someone is worth your prayer. Someone is worth telling about Jesus today.

Prayer.
Heavenly Father, my heart is passionate towards the lost and the unsaved souls. I receive more boldness to preach Jesus Christ wherever I go in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Spirit Encounter Devotional.

Title: Examine Yourself.

Scripture Reference.
2 Corinthians 13:5.
“Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?”

Not Everything Called Faith Is Faith.
There is a difference between genuine faith and what people merely call faith. Some choices, decisions, and actions are described as “faith,” yet they are actually assumptions, presumption, or personal desires. Faith does not ignore God's Word and then expect God to endorse our decisions. Biblical faith has its foundation in what God has said. “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God” (Romans 10:17). If God has not spoken, what you are calling faith may simply be assumption.

Faith Acts.
Faith is not merely agreeing that something is true; faith responds to what it believes. James 2:17 says, “Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.” When a person truly believes God's Word, that belief influences his choices, conduct, obedience, and actions. Noah believed God and built the ark (Hebrews 11:7). Abraham believed God and obeyed when he was called to go out (Hebrews 11:8). Faith acts because faith believes.

Examine Your Decisions.
Before calling something “faith,” ask yourself: What has God said about this? What Scripture supports this decision? Am I obeying God's Word, or am I simply hoping that God will bless what I have already decided? Faith does not manufacture a word from God to justify our desires. It submits to God's will and acts accordingly. True faith is not reckless; it is confident obedience to divine instruction.

Let Your Faith Be Proven.
God wants your faith to be genuine, not merely a confession on your lips. Examine yourself. Look at your actions, decisions, priorities, and responses to God's Word. If you truly believe Him, let your life demonstrate it. Do not hide assumption under the language of faith. Do not call presumption confidence. Believe God's Word, then act on what you believe. That is faith that can be proven.

Prayer.
Heavenly Father, help me to distinguish genuine faith from assumption and presumption. Give me grace to believe Your Word and act upon it in obedience in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Spirit Encounter Devotional.

Title: Get Involved With God’s Work.

Scripture Reference.
John 9:4–5.
“I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work. As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.”

You Have An Assignment.
Every believer is called to be involved in God’s work. You were not saved merely to receive from God; you were saved to represent Him and make His presence known wherever you are. Jesus said, “As my Father hath sent me, even so send I you” (John 20:21). Your family, workplace, business, community, and sphere of influence are opportunities to demonstrate Christ. You are God's representative, carrying His light into a world that desperately needs Him.

You Are Sent.
Jesus did not live for Himself. He came “to seek and to save that which was lost” (Luke 19:10), and He “went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil” (Acts 10:38). This same assignment has been entrusted to every believer. It is not reserved for pastors, prophets or evangelists. You have been sent. Your Christianity must become visible through your love, service, witness, generosity, righteousness and commitment to God's purpose.

Stop Living For Yourself.
One reason many believers become unfruitful is that they become too occupied with themselves. When your life revolves around your own comfort, ambitions, and desires, you can easily forget why God saved you. Jesus said, “I do always those things that please him” (John 8:29). When you become genuinely involved in God's business, your life begins to carry divine relevance. The early believers “went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them” (Mark 16:20). Get involved. Serve Him. Reach people. Do His will. Let Christ live through you.

Prayer.
Heavenly Father, thank You for the privilege of being sent by You. Give me grace to live for Your purpose, serve Your kingdom and make Christ known wherever I go in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Spirit Encounter Devotional.

Title: Be Fully Persuaded.

Scripture Reference.
Romans 4:20.
“He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God.”

Unbelief Makes You Stagger.
Unbelief makes a person unstable before the promises of God. To stagger means to waver, hesitate, or become uncertain. Abraham had every natural reason to doubt God's promise, yet he refused to allow his circumstances to determine what he believed. He chose to consider God more reliable than what his eyes could see. Unbelief does the opposite: it makes circumstances appear greater than God's Word, causing fear, hesitation, and confusion. When you refuse to accept God's verdict as final, you will stagger between faith and doubt.

Feed Your Faith.
Unbelief flourishes where the knowledge of God is neglected. Scripture says, “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God” (Romans 10:17). The more you know God's Word, the more you understand His character, His power, and His faithfulness. You cannot consistently trust a God you do not know. This is why spiritual growth requires continual exposure to Scripture. Daniel 11:32 declares, “The people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.” Knowledge of God produces conviction, and conviction produces steadfast faith.

Become Fully Persuaded.
There is a level of conviction where faith no longer struggles to believe because the heart has become persuaded about who God is. Abraham reached that place. He was “fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform” (Romans 4:21). Faith is not pretending that difficulties do not exist; it is being more convinced of God's ability than you are intimidated by your circumstances. When you know that God cannot lie and cannot fail, unbelief begins to lose its grip on your heart.

Refuse to Stagger
Do not allow delay, disappointment, negative reports or impossible circumstances to make you stagger at God's Word. Keep feeding your faith. Keep praying. Keep meditating on Scripture. Keep remembering what God has already done. When doubt speaks, answer it with God's Word. When fear speaks, remember God's faithfulness. When circumstances say, “It is impossible,” remember that “with God all things are possible” (Matthew 19:26). Stand firm until your faith becomes fully persuaded. Believe God until you see what He promised.

Prayer.
Heavenly Father, I receive deliverance from every form of unbelief. Fill my heart with Your Word until I become fully persuaded of Your faithfulness and power. Help me never to stagger at Your promises, but to remain strong in faith always in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Spirit Encounter Devotional

Title: Clear Your Mind of Junk.

Scripture Reference.
Philippians 4:8.
“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.”

Guard What Enters Your Mind.
Your mind is a powerful territory and not every thought deserves to live there. Paul gives the believer a standard for what should occupy his thoughts: things that are true, honest, just, pure, lovely, of good report, virtuous, and worthy of praise. Anything that consistently feeds fear, suspicion, condemnation, bitterness, hopelessness or unbelief is mental junk and should not be entertained. You cannot prevent every thought from entering your mind, but you can decide which thoughts you will accept, meditate upon and allow to influence your life.

Reject Junk Thoughts.
Why do you think others hate you? Why have you concluded that you will never succeed? Why do you constantly tell yourself that you are not good enough for God? Why do you assume that something terrible must happen simply because things are going well? These are the kinds of thoughts that can quietly poison your mind. Stop entertaining them. Scripture says, “Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God” (2 Corinthians 10:5). Not every thought deserves an answer; some thoughts deserve rejection.

Fill Your Mind With Truth.
You cannot keep your mind empty and expect junk thoughts never to return. Replace them with God's Word. When your mind says, “You cannot succeed,” remember that “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me” (Philippians 4:13). When condemnation says you are unworthy, remember, “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus” (Romans 8:1). When fear says you are alone, remember God's promise: “I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee” (Hebrews 13:5). Truth is what keeps junk away from your mind and turn you into a champion.

Think on These Things.
Your thoughts will eventually influence your words, choices, emotions and direction. Therefore, become deliberate about what you think on. Do not rehearse offenses, imagine rejection, predict failure or constantly meditate on what is wrong. Train your mind to return to what God has said. Romans 12:2 says, “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind.” Free your mind from junk and fill it with truth, faith, purity, gratitude and the promises of God. What God says about you must become more important to you than what fear says about you.

Prayer.
Heavenly Father, by Your word my mind is cleansed from everything that is contrary. I reject fear, condemnation, suspicion thoughts and unbelief. Today I fill my mind with truth, purity, faith and praise in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Spirit Encounter Devotional

Title: Trust God Completely.

Scripture Reference.
Psalm 37:3–5.
“Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed. Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.”

Trust His Character.
Trusting God means more than believing that He exists; it means resting your life upon His character, His wisdom, and His faithfulness. God is good even when circumstances are difficult, and He remains sovereign even when you cannot understand what He is doing. When you trust Him, you stop allowing fear to dictate your decisions and begin allowing God's Word to determine your response. Numbers 23:19 declares, “God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent.” You can trust God because He cannot fail.

Trust Him In the Process.
The lives of Abraham, Joseph and David show us that trusting God does not mean that everything will happen quickly or according to our preferred method. Abraham trusted God even when the promise seemed impossible. Joseph trusted God's purpose through betrayal, slavery and imprisonment. David trusted God's power when he stood before Goliath. Their circumstances changed, but their confidence in God remained. Your present situation may not make sense, but God's purpose is greater than what you can presently see. Keep trusting Him through the process.

Surrender Your Way.
True trust requires surrender. You cannot genuinely trust God while insisting that everything must happen according to your own understanding. Scripture says, “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding” (Proverbs 3:5). Commit your plans, relationships, ambitions, concerns, and future into His hands. Trust His timing when you are waiting, His wisdom when you are uncertain and His direction when you do not know what to do next. Surrender does not make you passive; it positions you to be guided by God.

Rest in His Faithfulness.
There is peace in knowing that your life is in the hands of a faithful God. You may not know how He will work everything out, but you can know that He will never abandon His purpose concerning you. Romans 8:28 assures us, “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” Therefore, refuse anxiety, fear and unbelief. Delight yourself in the Lord, keep doing what is right and trust Him completely. He will bring His purpose to pass.

Prayer.
Heavenly Father, I surrender my fears, plans and future to You. Teach me to trust You completely, rest in Your faithfulness and Lead me according to Your will in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
