We commiserate with the Catholic Bishops' Conference of Nigeria (CBCN) and the Christ's faithful of the Catholic Diocese of Abakaliki over the death of His Lordship, Most Rev. Peter Nworie Chukwu on Saturday, 11th April, 2026.

He was aged 60 years. Until his death, he was the Bishop of Abakaliki Diocese and the Assistant Secretary of the CBCN.

May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace. Amen
