One day, Hi**er came to a cabinet meeting carrying a chicken. He held the chicken’s head tightly under his arm. As he walked, he began plucking its feathers one by one. The chicken screamed in agony, struggling desperately to escape from Hi**er’s grip. But Hi**er did not let go, nor did he pay any attention to its cries - he just kept plucking.

A cabinet member said to him: “Don’t torture the poor creature like that. Let it go!”

But Hi**er refused to listen to him.

Finally, after plucking all its feathers, he threw the chicken to the ground. Then he took some grains out of his pocket and began feeding the chicken. In that state, the chicken desperate for food, started looking towards Hi**er’s hand again.

Hi**er called it closer, offering the grains. After a while, the chicken came and sat near him, eating those few grains. The same chicken that had been struggling to escape from Hi**er all this time now sat beside him again - for just a handful of grains.

Another cabinet member asked in astonishment: “What is the meaning of this?”

Hi**er replied: “Voters are just like this. For four years, we pluck their feathers. And then, in the last six months, we throw them a few grains. For those few grains, the voters forget all the injustices we committed for four years - and they vote for us again.”
What a shame 😤 😔

Here’s your polished quote with Luke 6:35 added:

---

Never regret being good to the wrong people. Your kindness, patience, and love reflect the beauty of your heart—not their worthiness. Their actions reveal who they are, but your goodness reveals who you are.

Stay kind, but also learn to guard your peace and energy.
“But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High.”_

*Rainbow Coalition: A United Front to Reclaim the State*

A coalition of 10 prominent political parties, including PDP, YPP, ADP, NNPP, ACCORD, SDP, APP, AA, and a fraction of APC, has come together to form the Rainbow Coalition. This united front aims to reclaim the state from politicians who have allegedly turned themselves into untouchable entities, enslaving the people and disregarding their welfare.

The coalition is structured in all wards of the state, with a clear vision to bring about change and give voice to the marginalized. According to coalition leaders, the current politicians have abused their power, treating the state like their personal fiefdom, and it's time for the people to take back control.

The Rainbow Coalition promises to:
- Challenge the status quo and hold leaders accountable
- Prioritize the welfare and development of the state
- Unite diverse voices for a common purpose
- Bring transparency and accountability to governance

With this coalition, the people of the state have a fighting chance to break free from the shackles of oppressive politics and chart a new course for prosperity and progress.

RALLY SPEECH - RAINBOW COALITION
Ado-Ekiti| December 27, 2025

My fellow Ekiti people, Great people of Ado-Ekiti,
Distinguished leaders, youths, women, elders,
and compatriots-

Today, we stand together not as members of different parties, but as citizens united by a
Common concern and a shared hope.

We are here because Ekiti people are asking a
simple but powerful question:
"Can we do better than this?"
And the answer is YES. we can, and we must.

WHY WE ARE HERE
This Rainbow Coalition was not formed out of
anger.
It was formed out of responsibility.
Across Ekiti State, people are feeling the pressure:
• families are struggling, young people are searching for opportunity, professionals feel unheard,
• and many citizens feel disconnected from
decisions that affect their lives.

We are here today to say clearly:
Ekiti people deserve better governance, better
leadership, and better results.

A CLEAR MESSAGE
Let me be very clear:
This coalition is not about noise.
It is not about desperation.
It is not about recycling the same politics under a
new name.
This coalition is about restoring choice, accountability, and dignity to governance in Ekiti State.

The 2026 election must not be a coronation.
It must be a contest of ideas, competence, and
character.

ON LEADERSHIP
We have learned from the past.
We will not rush.
We will not impose.
We will not gamble with Ekiti's future.
Our candidate will be: credible, competent, decided freely and decisively.

A CALL TO EKITI PEOPLE
This movement belongs to you.
Whether you are a farmer or a teacher, a trader or a professional, a student or a retiree, at home or in the diaspora

Let me also say this clearly:
This coalition respects the law.
We respect institutions.
And we expect the same from everyone.
We will not accept manipulation.
We will not accept intimidation.
We will not accept shortcuts that undermine
democracy.
Your voice matters. We ask you to stay
engaged.
Stay peaceful.
Stay hopeful.
And above all, stay united.

We're also proud to introduce that our Rainbow Coalition isn't affiliated with any other group; our name is inspired by the biblical symbol of hope and promise 🌈. After extensive discussions, we chose 'Rainbow' to represent our unity and diversity (especially when the 7 political parties involved wants their party color represented in the logo), with 'Ekiti Parapo' as our motto, emphasizing togetherness and one voice 🙌.

Our logo reflects this unity, symbolizing Ekiti's strength in oneness that nobody can break from within or without, under the guidance of our God – the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, who delivered us through prophets and our lord Jesus Christ.
