"And they watched him, whether he would heal him on the sabbath day; that they might accuse him."
*PONDER*
Mark 3:1-5.
*PREACHING*

This man had a piteous case, his hand withered, which incapacitated him from earning a living. In this case he was a proper object of charity. Those who cannot help themselves should be helped. This Jesus did but, the infidels kicked against the good act saying 'it was a Sabbath'. Jesus queried them if it is wrong to do good on the Sabbath. Be wise to know that there are people who will always look for a way to find your fault in your place of primary assignment. Instead of celebrating the healing received by the man, they countered the source of the healing. We should all learn today that there is no amount of good the church of Christ can do to the world that will satisfy the infidels. That is why they are giving all manners of teachings against her. Some will say it is improper to respect pastor or to give tithe, etc. The good news is no power can overcome the church of Christ. God bless you.

*PONDER*
Matthew 22:37-40.
*PREACHING*

Throughout the New Testament God’s people are referred to as “God’s own possession” (1 Peter 2:9), “servants unto obedience” (Romans 6:16), and “doers of the word” (James 1:22). Those statements are not just arbitrary designations, they are God’s expectations for His people. And what’s more is that every one of them, along with countless others, indicate that we as Christians are expected to be committed. That means Christianity isn’t just a past time it’s a lifestyle. It means that everything we do, everything we say, and every decision we make is governed by God’s will, not ours’. But it’s not just enough to say that we need to be committed Christians if we don’t spend some time and talk about what the committed Christian is committed to. There are at least four things that designate a committed Christian.

*The committed Christian is committed to their relationship with God.* When asked what the greatest command was one time, Jesus responded by saying this: “Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind” (Matthew 22:37). There is no more important person in a Christian’s life than God. The New Testament refers to Christians as the “sons of God” (Galatians 3:26) and the “bride of Christ” (Revelation 21:2). So there is clearly a relationship present and how does any relationship deepen and thrive? Communication. That’s true between fathers and sons. It’s true between husbands and wives. And it’s equally true between us and God. The committed Christian is committed to their relationship with God by maintaining open communication with God through prayer (us talking to God) and Bible study (God talking to us). Without that communication our relationship with God is going to fail and fail miserably. So if we are going to be committed Christians then we have got to be committed to our relationship with God.

*The committed Christian is committed to their worship of God.* The presence of God – when we worship God we enter into the presence of God. David spoke of his worship to God in terms of coming before his presence with singing, entering into His gates with thanksgiving, and entering into His courts with praise (Psalm 100:4). God’s people have always had a responsibility, an opportunity to express their glory for and exaltation of God through worship and their commitment to God has always be contingent on their commitment to that worship. Ancient Israel was judged by, among other things, their submission to the appointed the feast days and sacrificial offerings synonymous with temple worship. Though God’s design for worship has changed His expectation regarding our commitment to that worship has not. God’s people still come together to offer sacrifices of praise every single week (Acts 20:7; Hebrews 11:25). To them it is more than just a responsibility on their to-do list, it is an opportunity and a blessing. So if we are going to be committed Christians then we have to be committed to our worship of God.

*The committed Christian is committed to their responsibilities from God.* In Titus 3:1 Paul asked Titus that among all of the things he needed to accomplish among the Cretian Christians that he wanted him to “put them in mind” or to remind them of certain things they needed to commit themselves to. Among them were things like submitting to authority, being doers of good, being peaceful, and maintain humility. But among them is this expectation – “be ready unto every good work.” God’s people have always had responsibilities as servants of the Master. Some of those responsibilities are in the area of personal development (Galatians 5:22-25), others are in outreach (Matthew 28:18-20), some have to do with our relationships with others (Romans 12:16-21), and some have to do with our devotion to truth (Jude 3). Ultimately whatever responsibilities God has given to us should be looked at as responsibilities – things by which we will be held eternally accountable. So if we are going to be committed Christians then we have to be committed to our responsibilities from God.

*The committed Christian is committed to their journey to God.* “Enter ye in by the narrow gate…for narrow is the gate, and straitened the way, that leadeth unto life, and few are they that find it” (Matthew 7:13-14). There are a lot of different components that contribute to what our lives turn out to be but ultimately, regardless of them all, life is about one thing and one thing only. Life is about going to heaven. Or at least it should be. So if going to heaven is our greatest commitment in life then every decision we make is going to be made with that in mind. Nothing God asks of us/expects of us is too great if our greatest goal is heaven. Jesus Himself has gone to prepare this place for us (John 14:2-3) – we should want to go there with every fiber of our being. So if we are going to be committed Christians then we have to be committed to our journey to God.

The reality is that the term “committed Christian” is redundant. Being a Christian should assume commitment. In other words you cannot be a true Christian unless you are committed. And while these may not be a laundry list of every commitment that Christians should be devoted to they are definitely a few things to keep in mind if we are going to be committed Christians. 2 Peter 2:17-22.
*PREACHING*

The word of truth is the water of life, which refreshes the soul that receives it; but, deceivers spread and promote errors, and are set forth as empty, because there is no truth in them. As clouds hinder the light of the sun, so the evil counsels of the sinners hinder the truth. Their lust gain complete victory over them, and they are actually in bo***ge. When men are entangled, they are easily overcome; therefore christian should keep close to the words of God, and watch against those who wish to bewilder them. A state of apostasy is worse than a state of ignorance. To bring an evil report upon the good way of God, and false charge against the way of truth, must expose to the heaviest condemnation. Is your backsliding a great grief to you? Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved. God bless you.

Ecclesiastes 12:1
"Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them;"
*PONDER*
Ecclesiastes 12:1-5.
*PREACHING*
.
As it’s especially in our youth that we are most inclined (determined) to forget our Creator, it’s especially in these years that we must work to remember our Creator (Ecc.12:1). Remember that He made you, that He provides for you, that He cares for you, that He watches you, that He controls you; and remember that He can save you too. Your youthful years are blessed with some virtues why you must remember God. They are;
1. *Energetic years*
However, that’s not the only reason why God commands us to remember our Creator in our young years. It’s also because these are our most energetic years.
Why wait until we are pe***ng out, until we are running down, until our gas is almost empty, before serving our Creator? The God who made us deserves our most active and healthy years: our bodies are strong and muscular (well kind of), our minds are sharp and clear, our senses are receptive and keen and sensitive, our enthusiasm is bright and bushy, our wills are steely and determined. Remember Him in your energetic years.
2. *Sensitive years*
Why do far more of us become Christians in our youth than in our middle or old age? It’s because youthful years are sensitive years. Without giving up our belief in “Total Depravity” we can say that it’s “easier” to believe and repent when we are younger. It’s never easy, but it’s easier. And it’s easier because as we get older our heart is hardened thicker, our conscience is seared number, our sins root deeper, our deadness becomes deader.
Let’s use our youthful sensitivity and receptivity to remember our Creator before the evil days of callous indifference set in.
3. *Teachable years*
We learn more in our youth than in any other period of life. That’s true in all subjects, but especially true in religious instruction. All the Christians I’ve met who were converted to Christ late in life have expressed huge regrets about how little they know and how little they can now learn. I encourage them to value and use whatever time the Lord gives them, but they often feel they have to study twice as hard to learn half as well.
4. *Dangerous years*
Young years are minefield years: hormones, peer pressure, alcohol, drugs, po*******hy, immorality, testosterone, etc. Few navigate these years without blowing up here and there. Dangers abound on every side – and on the inside. How many “first” temptations become “last” temptations! How much we need our Creator to keep us and carry us through this battlefield. God bless you.

Exodus 4:9
"And it shall come to pass, if they will not believe also these two signs, neither hearken unto thy voice, that thou shalt take of the water of the river, and pour it upon the dry land: and the water which thou takest out of the river shall become blood upon the dry land."

Exodus 4:1-9.
*PREACHING*

The scriptures say that 'people will not believe except for signs and wonders. God gave Moses power to work wonders before the Isrealites and Pharaoh, that they may believe that God did send him. All men of God must seek God in the altar of prayer to receive power to work signs before the people that they may know that God is real! Fake ministers know this and go through their c***y and diabolical ways to do miracles as to deceive people and enrich their pockets. Bible records that in the later day many false teachers will arise and deceive many and even the elect. Children of God must be careful to know that not all surprising events are from God. Pharaoh's magicians turned their staff to snake to. Glory be to God in His majesty, he did not leave His church without power. Let those who know they carry the pure Spirit of God seek for genuine power of the Holy Ghost to give a conviction to people about their callings. To achieve this, we need grace and passion for it. In the case of Moses he got it by grace not that he prayed for it.
3 WAYS TO ENCOUNTER POWER.
1. By grace when encounter with God.
2. By asking for it in holiness and fasting. With intention to use it for the Gospel.
3. Through laying of hands. Or by powerful declaration of a carrier of this power. I told a ministers friend. "Go and be operating in power and the following meetings in church demons began to scream. Another person I said receive seeing eyes and he attested he began to see open vision power belong to our God. Let us use it.
He was wise to ask God how will they believe God sent him? Some like the Apostle will need to ask for it to receive it. The good news is, all who ask will receive. By this encounter, power will come upon you. God bless you.

* I receive power and authority to perform signs and wonders, and receive it. IJN.
* Father, back up my efforts with signs and wonders that are rare to believe but, cannot be denied this week, IJN.
* Lord, visit all pure altars set down to glorify you with powers, that Devil will be put to shame, IJN.

Exodus 1:17-21.
*PREACHING*

There are evil people who will not wish to do their evil on their victim directly but look for somebody who will abet in the deception or crime with them, Such was Pharaoh. He ordered the male child of the Hebrews to be killed. But, the midwives feared God, and did not kill the children.

3 CHARACTERISTICS OF THOSE WHO FRAR GOD.
1. They fear God than man.
2. They don't run after favour from men.
3. They get divine rewards from God They honour
They were also wise enough to professionally answered the king that, 'the Hebrew women are different from the Egyptian women'. There are many lecturers who will ask their colleagues to fail a student for their selfish reasons. Many in the Judiciary will sin against God by perverting justice. Many in the medical department do abortion and kill innocent babies for money. They do these evil to get position or luxury. But, no one does the will of God and regret. Bible records that God did well with the midwives and built them houses. If they did commit the infanticide, the king would not be that good to them. If those who wilfully do evil to take money from others wait for God, they will have gotten better from Him. Always use your profession to do the will of God and not for Devil. God bless you.

*PONDER*
Matthew 4:1-11
*PREACHING*

This year by the mercies of God we should be expecting testimonies. The just concluded forty days fasting and prayer revival has opened our heaven. But we need to be conscious of this that Devil do tempt, like he did unto our Saviour after forty days and forty night fasting. We should know as believers that before every testimony comes temptation. After Jesus was declared to be the Son of God, and the Saviour of the world, he was tempted; great privileges, and special tokens of Divine favour, will not secure anyone from being tempted. But if the Holy Spirit witness to our being adopted as children of God, that will answer all the suggestions of the evil spirit. In the temptation of Christ it appears that our enemy is subtle, spiteful, and very daring; but he can be resisted. It is a comfort to us that Christ suffered, being tempted; for thus it appears that our temptations, if not yielded to, are not sins, they are afflictions only. Satan aimed in all his temptations, to bring Christ to sin against God.
*3 REASONS FOR THE TEMPTATION*
1. He tempted him to despair of his Father's goodness, and to distrust his Father's care concerning him. Christ answered all the temptations of Satan with "It is written;" to set us an example, he appealed to what was written in the Scriptures. This method we must take, when at any time we are tempted to sin. Let us learn not to take any wrong courses for our supply, when our wants are ever so pressing: in some way or other the Lord will provide.
2. Satan tempted Christ to presume upon his Father's power and protection, in a point of safety. The holy city is the place, where he does, with the greatest advantage, tempt men to pride and presumption. All high places are slippery places; advancements in the world makes a man a mark for Satan.
It is possible for a man to have his head full of Scripture notions, and his mouth full of Scripture expressions, while his heart is full of bitter enmity to God and to all goodness. Satan misquoted the words. If we go out of our way, out of the way of our duty, we forfeit the promise, and put ourselves out of God's protection. This promise is firm and stands good. But shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? No.
3. Satan tempted Christ to idolatry with the offer of the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them. The glory of the world is the most charming temptation to the unthinking and unwary; by that men are most easily imposed upon. Christ was tempted to worship Satan. He rejected the proposal with abhorrence. "Get thee hence, Satan!" Some temptations are openly wicked; and they are not merely to be opposed, but rejected at once. If we resist the devil he will flee from us. But the soul that deliberates is almost overcome. If we overcome devil by not falling into temptation the angels of the Lord is always read to minister to us.
*3 things to avoid this year*
1. Avoid being tempted by food. Not all snakes are edible
2. Avoid risking everything. Not all open doors are entrance
3. Avoid being lured by position. Some enthronement are imprisonment.
*PRAYER*
* I will not fall into temptation that will abort my testimonies in Jesus name
* I receive Christ victory over all works of the flesh in Jesus name.
* Devil will not in any way deny me of my blessings in Jesus name

Receive anointing to overcome all temptations in Jesus mighty name.

Matthew 2:1
"Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,"
*PONDER*
Matthew 2:1-23.
*PREACHING*

The wise men left the Palace of the king and the star they saw in the east appeared again. It led them to where the baby was. At the sight of the star, they rejoiced, this negated the kings thought towards the star. people have mixed feelings at every rising star. Some will rejoice seeing you doing something glorious. While some will be unhappy and will show it that they do not have any interest in what you are doing. The good news is that, not interested in what you are doing does not make your vision uninteresting. Beware of people who fail to celebrate you. With the exceedingly great joy that they had in their hearts they found the child with his mother and they gave precious gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh unto them. God proved Himeslf to be Jehovah Jireh here. He used these wise men to provide for the poor parents. God can raise help for His people from far places even when we least expect. I pray for all mothers who are going through thick and thin to feed their children to receive help now IJN. This wise men did not look down on the state they met this newly born king. They thought at first that this star must be found in the palace but not so. They found the child not among great people. A yoruba adage says ' Koseni to mo ori olola lewe' 'no one knows the head of a rich man at infant'. Some of us want to see God but, where God is with his Angels ready to answer you, may be looked down upon if you cannot discern. There are men of God who are yet to be popular but have great power of God in them. If you are not in the spirit you will not know where you will find Jesus. God's way is different from that of men. Verse 12 says God warned them in the dream not to go back unto the king and they went on another way. The wicked king was expecting that they would bring news back to him. God has concern and control over the affairs of men. Blessed are those whose God is Lord. Many evil they plan against us but God know the way he controls things in the spirit. most of the times when we are dissapointed by people, or our car goes faulty it might be to prevent certain evil. An Angel of God appeared unto Joseph in the dream. Joseph was a devoted man. This was another time angel would appear to him, it was said in the previous chapter that Angel appeared to him telling him to take his wife and accept the child in her as she conceived him of Holyghost. I pray for every waiting woman if your husband cannot fertilise the egg in your womb, by the anointing with wish Mary conceived by holyghost, Let God lay on you and give you your Joy in Jesus' name. Amen. God bless you.

* I receive divine direction on how to escape the plans of enemy against me and my children, IJN
* By your divine Providence, I will always have a place to escape to when danger arises, IJN.
