THE ART OF TIME MANAGEMENT! Pt 1
Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. - Ephesians 5:16
Every star is a product of effective time management, progress in life is a function of judicious use of time. The Message Bible rendered our opening text like this, "Make the most of every chance you get. These are desperate times!" Make every second, minute and hour of your time count. Invest your time don't squander it, because to waste your time is to waste your life. Some people thought they are wasting time not knowing they are wasting their life. Commodities have price tags while destiny has time tag, as it is written, "To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:" Maximize your time, how you spend your time today, determine the outcome of your life tomorrow. Michael Altshuler said, 'The bad news is time flies. The good news is you're the pilot.' Be in charge of your time and be in charge of your life.
The truth is that the future come to us daily. It is what you do with your time daily that determine your future. Life is a race, and every runner, run with time. The paradox of life is that, some run the race of life to catch up with their mates but very few run to catch up with time, some run after more money but few run after more time. Listen, the most powerful of all resources is time not money. Money and more money is gotten through judicious use of time, no wonder they say, time is money. Jim Rohn put it this way, 'Time is more valuable than money. You can get more money, but you cannot get more time.'
You see, in this part of the world, priority is given to money than time and no wonder it is difficult to compete at the world stage. We save money but waste time. We even spend time to stand on a long queue in a bank to save money but waste a whole day in the process. It is said that, the distinctive difference between the rich and the poor is that, the rich uses money to save time, while the poor uses time to save money. This is also true for advance countries and third world countries. They advanced and continue to advance because they placed higher value on time than money. In an advance country, you earn money in proportion to the time spent on the work, but in a third world country, you earn money even for your idle time on the work. You see, we have bank to save money, but have you ever heard of a bank where you can save time? Because time can never be saved or stored, but can only be exchanged or invested on something valuable, which will then yield valuable returns. Thomas Edison said, 'Time is really the only capital that any human being has, and the only thing he can't afford to lose.' You have to spend your time wisely, if you want to spend money entirely.
WHAT YOU MUST DO:
Your life is the sum total of what you do with your time, to live a fulfilled life, you must beware of time wasters, like:
1. Too much time of sleep.
2. Unplanned or unscheduled meetings
3. Too much time spending in watching movies.
4. Spending unnecessary time, doing unproductive thing on the internet.
5. Unguided time out with friends for wrong purposes.
PRAY THIS PRAYER:
Father, help me to manage my time effectively and productively in Jesus name.
I PRAY FOR YOU:
Your destiny shall not be wasted, you shall be great indeed, you shall succeed and not fail, you are separated from the company of the poor, and you shall never be mistaken for a failure in Jesus name.
