BEWARE, JUDAS IS EVERYWHERE.
“But Jesus said unto him, Judas, betrays thou the Son of man with a kiss? (Luke 22:47 -53)
While they were eating the Lord’s Supper, Jesus all of the sudden made a shocking statement. But, behold, the hand of him that betrayeth me is with me on the table. And truly the son of man goes, as it was determined, but, woe unto that man by whom He is betrayed!
Judas was a disciple of Jesus; he saw both public and private life of Jesus. He knew everything about Jesus. Yet betrayed Him. Do you think he wanted to betray Jesus? He wanted to trick the high priest because he believed that Jesus would disappear if they come to arrest Him. But this boils down to one problem Judas had. Covetousness. If he was not, he wouldn’t have taken a chance on his master. If he was a true lover and a faithful follower of Jesus, he won’t agree to be a part of the deal.
When he realized his grievous mistake, he was very sorrowful, but the deed has been done. No one names his child Judas; the never enjoyed the money, he didn’t go to heaven for he died a betrayer and a murderer.
Today, there are Judases in the church; people deny their faith because of money, they sell themselves because of money, they keep Jesus aside but when they are through with their doings and it eventually results to problems, they run back-most times they end up like Judas.
How much a Christian are you? It’s also very alarming that Christians persecute their fellow Christians. Be careful; don’t be like Judas because you’ll end up in shame like him. The Bible says that whatever you sow, you’ll reap.
I prophesy to you that nothing shall separate you from the love of God in Jesus name, Amen.
