*THE BASIC PRINCIPLES OF CHOOSING A LIFE PARTNER*

*BIBLE READING: PROVERBS 31:10; PROVERBS 20:6; PROVERBS 22:3; GENESIS 1:26-28*

*"And the Lord God said, “It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an helper suitable for him.” Genesis 2:18x(NKJV)*

One of the most Apparent Truths which can never be denied is that the Lord God Almighty Himself is the Source and Origin of the Marriage Institution. In other words, the Marriage Institution or the Order of Holy Matrimony was ordained by God Himself. The implication here is that it takes the Marriage Covenant for Total Dominion to be actualized, hence Marriage is in itself undoubtedly a Force to be reckoned with. It would interest us to know that the Trinity or Godhead is a Direct Result of the Marriage between God the Father, the Son, and The Holy Spirit *(1Jn. 5:7).* God always created everything in pairs, a point which also underscores the Importance of the Marriage Institution, therefore the issue of finding a suitable spouse is paramount because it takes two to tango *(Amos 3:3).* Of a Truth, two or more is indeed a Force of Multiplication and Dominion *(Ecc. 4:9).*

The following are some of the Basic Steps involved in discovering a suitable spouse or helper in the Marriage Institution:

*(1.) Compatibility:* Anytime a man gets, as it were, oversized or undersized material, it becomes quite a frustrating place to be *(Ps. 42:7).* One major way to identify a suitable spouse is that he/she fits right into your world, and both of you complement one another.

*(2.) Unity of Purpose:* Understand that if you are an Adam, then your Eve will always be found within your Garden. In other words, God always plants your Eve near your Garden, and one way to discern her is when she approaches the aforementioned Garden, which is your God-given Assignment on Earth. She comes as a co-labourer. Therefore, when you think about Marriage, first think about your Purpose *(Gen. 24:43, 48).* If any woman you want to marry is unwilling to support your God-given Assignment, she might be a knife rather than a wife.

*(3.) God's Direction:* The choice of who you marry should not be determined by you alone even though man has been given the Power of choice in this matter *(Prov. 3:5-6).* The God Factor should come into play by asking Him to direct you. This doesn't necessarily mean that God will speak with an Audible Voice, but He would quicken your discernment. Always check your Inner Peace if you want to marry someone, i.e., each time you think about the Marriage and you lose your Peace, that is a key pointer that all is not well.

*(4.) Submission:* You must also check if the person you want to marry submits to Authority as well as the level of their Submission *(1Cor. 11:3-5).* This is so important because a headless head would soon be beheaded.

*(5.) The Fear of God:* You have to consider whether the person is truly God fearing. This is extremely important because any person who fears nobody is indeed a person to be feared *(Prov. 28:28).* Take heed to these guidelines, for they will help you to make the right choice of a suitable spouse.

*PRAYER:*

Heavenly Father, we magnify You for Your Unending Love towards us. O Lord, please grant us the Insight to discern the Riches of Your Wisdom in the area of Marriage in Jesus' Mighty Name. Amen.

*DOMINION MANDATE DAILY DEVOTIONAL**MONDAY, AUGUST 25, 2025**DISCERNING THE POWER OF AGREEMENT**AMOS 3:3; 2 CORINTHIANS ...

*MONDAY, AUGUST 25, 2025*

*DISCERNING THE POWER OF AGREEMENT*

*AMOS 3:3; 2 CORINTHIANS 6:14-17; GENESIS 11:1-6*

*"Again, I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on Earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of My Father Which is in Heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in My Name, there am I in the midst of them." Matthew 18:19-20(KJV)*

The phrase 'to agree' literally means *"to have the same opinion as, to accept a proposition or an idea and to be in alignment with."* It also means to be one with or to be the same as. Simply put, there can never be Unity without Agreement, and in the same vein, there can never be Power without Unity. The Power of Unity is the Greatest Power or Force in existence. There's nothing the Power of Unity cannot overcome and no insurmountable mountain it can't climb *(Gen. 11:1-5; Matt. 18:19-20).* The Primary Purpose of Agreement is to build up Synergy, Unity, and Power.

Agreement is an extremely important factor for any group of persons who desire to work together and achieve results. It's also very important to be mindful of the kind of people with whom you are agreeing. If you agree with people of similar Values and persuasions, you would inevitably get the reward of Greater Productivity. However, if you agree with unscrupulous persons of wayward and questionable character, you expose yourself to harm and untold consequences. The Holy Scriptures warn us against being unequally yoked with unbelievers and those things that pertain to the kingdom of darkness *(2 Cor. 6:14-17).*

While we avoid agreeing with and fraternising with the wrong people, we ought to also work hard to agree with the right people in our lives in order to fully maximize the benefits of Unity. Agreement is never merely a passive consent but rather an active and deliberate action geared towards oneness at several levels. We must learn to agree in spirit by sharing the same Values, agree in words by speaking the same language, agree in Vision by sharing the same Purpose and agree in action by working towards the same goals. Husbands and wives should always strive to be in agreement, likewise leaders, and the led should always strive to agree. Always remember that Unity is so powerful that its apparent threat to satan our common adversary was what prompted his first ever Scriptural appearance *(Gen. 2:24-25; 3:1).*

*PRAYER:*

Heavenly Father, we magnify You today. O Lord, please enlighten our eyes to the Power and Purpose of Agreement and help us to agree with those people You have sent into our lives so that we can have the Unity and Power to fulfill Your Purpose in our lives in Jesus' Mighty Name. Amen.

*MONDAY, JULY 21, 2025*

*UNDERSTANDING THE MERCY MINISTRY*

*BIBLE READING: ROMANS 12:4-8; MATTHEW 5:7; MATTHEW 25:34-46*

*“Or he that exhorteth, on Exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity, he that ruleth, with Diligence; he that sheweth Mercy, with cheerfulness.” Romans 12:8 (KJV)*

One of the most notable Characteristics of the Divine Nature, which every Genuine Christian believer possesses on the inside is Mercy. This is so key in our understanding of how to live out the Christlike Life because a merciless Christian is a walking paradox *(Lk. 6:36).* The Lord God Almighty told Moses the Lawgiver, *"I will show Mercy to whom I will show Mercy"* (Rom. 9:15). This basically means that it is the Exclusive Right of the Sovereign God to show Mercy to whom He chooses. However, the Lord Jesus revealed to us the Secret behind always enjoying the Mercies of God in our lives: *"Blessed are the Merciful for they shall obtain Mercy"* (Matt. 5:7). In other words, the Key to always enjoying the Mercy of God is to always extend Mercy to others especially to the poor, less privileged, widows, oppressed, orphans as well as showing hospitality to strangers whereby the Holy Scriptures declare that *“many have entertained Angels unawares”* (Heb. 13:1-2). This is often the Experience of those believers who are called into the Mercy Ministry.

Mercy, also known as Compassion, is an Expression of Brotherly Kindness and Love for one another *(2Pet. 1:7).* As stated earlier, this is a Divine Character Trait every Christian believer is expected to imbibe. However, there is a certain group of Christian Ministers who are equipped internally by the Lord Himself with a special heart of Compassion towards the vulnerable of society. There is a spontaneous Kindness that flows from within them whenever they encounter people with the "short end of the straw," so to speak. They become the voice of the voiceless and help of the helpless, revealing God's Compassionate Heart to all just like the Good Samaritan *(Lk. 10:25-37).*

The Mercy Ministry can be expressed through different platforms such as Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), Foundations, and Advocacy Initiatives *(Ps. 41:1-3).* Some of the different groups who are beneficiaries of the Mercy Ministry include the following:
(1.) The poor.
(2.) Widows.
(3.) Orphans.
(4.) Destitutes.
(5.) The homeless/Internally Displaced Persons.
(6.) Street Urchins.
(7.) The sick/terminally ill.(8.) Prisoners.
(9.) Prostitutes.
(10.) Foreigners/Immigrants.
(11.) The falsely accused/imprisoned.
(12.) The malnourished.(13.) The naked.
(14.) The mentally unstable.(15.) The disabled.
(16.) The elderly.
(17.) The outcasts.
These causes are championed by fighting injustice and oppression against the less privileged, philanthropy, free medical outreaches, free food for the hungry and clothing the naked, adopting children to train in schools, helping the poor needy, widows, visiting orphanage homes with food items etc *(Matt. 25:34-46).*

*PRAYER:*

Heavenly Father, we thank You for the Privilege and opportunity to be a blessing to others. O Lord, please help us to be found Faithful in showing Mercy and Compassion to others in Jesus' Mighty Name. Amen.

*WEDNESDAY, JULY 16, 2025*

*UNDERSTANDING THE ROLE OF THE PASTOR*

*MATTHEW 9:36; JOHN 10:11; ACTS 20:28; 1 PETER 5:1-4*

*"And He gave some Apostles, and some Prophets; and some Evangelists and some Pastors and Teachers; for the Perfecting of the saints for the Work of the Ministry, for the Edifying of the Body of Christ, till we all come in the Unity of the Faith, and of the Knowledge of the Son of God, unto a Perfect Man, unto the Measure of the Stature of the Fullness of Christ." Ephesians 4:11-13 (KJV)*

A Pastor could be aptly described as the Divinely Designated leader of a Christian Congregation or Local Church Assembly whose job includes giving advice and counsel to people from the community or congregation. He has been conferred by Jesus the Chief Shepherd with the Authority to lead religious services. Pastors act as Spiritual shepherds by providing care for the flock, and this care includes feeding them God's Undiluted Word *(Jer. 3:15).* When describing Pastors, the New Testament essentially uses the words "bishops" *(Acts 20:28)* and "presbyter" *(1Pet. 5:1)* to indicate the Ordained Leadership in the Early Church. The Holy Scriptures admonish these leaders to "act like shepherds" as they "oversee" the Flock of God *(1Pet. 5:2).* The qualifications of a Genuine Pastor are found in 1 Timothy 3:1-7.

The Major Job of a Pastor is to provide Spiritual Leadership to members of the Local Church under his care. The Fundamental Duties of a Pastor include (but aren't limited to) preparing weekly sermons, preaching, and conducting Worship Services. He also provides Pastoral Care and Counseling to Church members and supports them in their times of crisis. Additionally, working as a Pastor normally requires officiating Special Services like Baptisms, Weddings, and Funerals. It also includes attending social events at the Church and completing Church Administrative duties.

The Job of the Pastor is one of the toughest of all occupations because it basically involves Parenting, which requires a lot of Patience *(Heb. 13:17).* Those people called to the Office of the Pastor are gifted with the Capacity to love and care for people *(2Sam. 24:17).* They are also anointed with the Teaching Grace so as to be able to feed the Flock of God *(2Tim. 2:24).* Even though all of us might not be called to the Office of the Pastor, as Christian believers, we are required to also care for and nurture younger believers who are within our influence and reach. This is mostly done in Small Groups such as Cells and Believers' Circles. The Pastor or main shepherd can never effectively shepherd the Flock of God without the assistance and partnership of many under-shepherds and Small Group leaders helping him to shepherd and care for God's people. Let us all honour our Pastors because indeed, *"If a man wants to be a Pastor, he has a Good Ambition"* (1Tim. 3:1b The Living Bible).

*PRAYER:*

Heavenly Father, we magnify You today. Lord Jesus, we thank You for being the Chief Shepherd of our souls. O Lord, please help us to partner with You in shepherding the Flock for whom You died and purchased with Your Most Precious Blood in Jesus' Mighty Name. Amen.

*UNDERSTANDING THE ROLE OF THE PROPHET*

*BIBLE READING: DEUTERONOMY 18:15-22; MATTHEW 10:38-41; LUKE 2: 22-52*

*"Now in the Church (Assembly) at Antioch there were Prophets (Inspired Interpreters of the Will and Purposes of God) and Teachers: Barnabas, Simeon who was called Niger [Black], Lucius of Cyrene, Manaen a member of the court of Herod the tetrarch, and Saul." Acts 13:1(AMP)*

A Prophet by the simplest of definitions is *"one who speaks for God to man."* Simply put, he serves as God's Anointed Mouthpiece. He does not necessarily have to foretell the future even though that is a valid aspect of the Prophetic Ministry. He does forthtell a Word from God revealing His Plans for the Church. Through Prophets, God gives Direction and Correction to the Church according to 1 Corinthians 14:3(NKJV): *"But he who prophesies speaks EDIFICATION and EXHORTATION and COMFORT to men."* Prophecy is given to edify, exhort, and comfort the Church. In other words, Prophecy is meant to BUILD UP, STIR UP, and CHEER UP the Body of Christ. So-called "prophetic words" that tear down the Body and depress the people are not from God. Genuine Prophecy always encourages and strengthens the recipients. A hard message or a correction often comes forth, such as a Call to Repentance, but it would always result in building up instead of tearing down.

A Typical Example of a New Testament Prophet is Barnabas, a moniker given to Paul's first Missionary companion, which literally means “Son of consolation or exhortation” *(Acts 4:36).* As a result of Barnabas' Prophetic Ministry, the Holy Scriptures declare that *"He exhorted the Body to purposefully and steadfastly hold onto the Lord"* (Acts 11:23-24). Other New Testament Prophets such as John the Baptist *(Lk. 1:76)* and Agabus *(Acts 11:27-28; 21:10-13)* deserve an honourable mention. John the Baptist was deployed to speak as a Prophet via the Tender Mercies of God. Therefore, Genuine Prophecy would always be tempered with Mercy *(Lk. 1:78).* A Prophet is a man or woman who stands in the Counsel of God and represents His Interests before the people. They reveal His Heart to His people, giving guidance to individuals and the Body of Christ, giving Revelation as well as Interpretation, Application, and Timing.

We see several examples of the Prophetic Office in action throughout the Book of Acts. In Acts 21, Agabus is a good example of where Prophecy can be rightly interpreted, yet applied wrongly, as Paul was urged not to go to Jerusalem, escaping the Predictive Prophecy of his fate. In this case, we see Prophecy as Foretelling, yet it is also Forth-telling, which is often neglected by those who run after Prophetic Words. God has established Prophets in His Church. Therefore, the Church would not be complete if we reject their Ministry out of fear. However, somebody once said that *"Prophets often give a message of balance that may not necessarily be a balanced message."* This is why Prophets need to allow Spiritual Leadership, especially Teachers, to weigh their words and judge them as instructed by the Holy Scriptures *(1Cor. 14:29-32).*

*PRAYER:*

Heavenly Father, we honour You today. O Lord, we ask You for a Deeper Understanding of the Office of the Prophet and help us to align to them appropriately in Jesus' Mighty Name. Amen.

DISCERNING THE FIVE FOLD MINISTRY

BIBLE READING: DEUTERONOMY 18:5-22; ROMANS 15:8-27; 1CORINTHIANS 12:28-31

“And He Himself gave some to be Apostles, some Prophets, some Evangelists, and some Pastors and Teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the Work of Ministry, for the edifying of the Body of Christ, till we all come to the Unity of the Faith and of the Knowledge of the Son of God, to a Perfect Man, to the Measure of the Stature of the Fullness of Christ; that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, but, speaking the Truth in Love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the Head: Christ.” Ephesians 4: 11-15(NKJV)

The General Concept of the Five-fold Ministry is derived from our Key Scriptural Text, particularly Ephesians 4:11. Basically, as a result of this verse, it is abundantly clear that the Lord God Almighty is restoring the Sacred Offices of Apostle and Prophet in the Church today. Ephesians 4:12-13 tells us that the Primary Purpose of the Five-fold Ministry is "to prepare God’s people for Works of Service, so that the Body of Christ may be built up UNTIL WE ALL REACH UNITY IN THE FAITH and IN THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE SON OF GOD and BECOME MATURE, ATTAINING TO THE WHOLE MEASURE OF THE FULLNESS OF CHRIST" (vs 12-13). Therefore, it goes without saying that since the Body of Christ is apparently not yet built up to Unity in the Faith and has not attained to the Whole Measure of the Fullness of Christ, the Offices of Apostle and Prophets remain relevant now hence must of necessity still be in effect even to this day.

Nevertheless, Ephesians 2:19-20(NKJV) issues the following Solemn charge: "Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the Household of God, having been built on the Foundation of the Apostles and Prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the Chief Cornerstone." Even though the Lord Jesus Christ is still obviously Active in the Church today through His Post-Incarnate Ministry, His Position as the Cornerstone of the Church was consolidated with His Death, Burial, Resurrection and Ascension. We must therefore conclude that if the Work of the Cornerstone is complete, likewise must the Work of the Apostles and Prophets, who were the Foundation, also be complete.

However, this then begs the question: What exactly was the Role of the Foundational Apostles and Prophets? It was to declare God’s Revelation and to teach the New Truth the Church of Jesus Christ would need in order to grow and thrive. The Apostles and Prophets completed this Mission, but how exactly did they do this? By giving us the Word of God, which is the Complete Revelation of God. The Holy Scriptures contain everything the Body of Christ requires to grow, thrive, and fulfill God’s Mission. It is also worthy of note that the additional Ministry Offices of the Evangelist, the Pastor and the Teacher evolved from the Apostolic and Prophetic Foundation during the Growth of the Early Church, making them relevant to the Great Commission even today (Acts 13:1-2; Acts 21:8; 1 Tim. 3:1-7).

2 Timothy 3:15-16(NKJV) says the following: "And that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for Salvation through Faith which is in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is given by Inspiration of God and is profitable for Doctrine, for Reproof, for Correction, for Instruction in Righteousness." The Cornerstone Work of the Foundational Apostles and Prophets has been completed, but their Ongoing Work is still being manifested in the Holy Spirit speaking through us and teaching us God’s Word. On this basis, the Five-fold Ministry still remains very active even today. On this premise, we then as a Church have a Solemn Responsibility to have a Deeper Revelation of the Spiritual Leaders placed over us and to provide Absolute Support for them which can be seen in the Scriptures stated below: "Dear brothers and sisters, honour those who are your leaders in the Lord's Work. They work hard among you and warn you against all that is wrong. Think highly of them and give them your Wholehearted Love because of their Work. And remember to live peaceably with each other" (1Thess. 5:12-13 NLT). Let us pause for a moment and ponder deeply over this: The Lord Jesus Christ is still perfecting or maturing His saints THROUGH His Designated Ministers to become Effective Christian Ministers themselves. Expecting Him to leave His Throne in the Highest Heaven to do so would be ludicrous at best and demeaning at worst. That is the Primary Reason for His Ministry Gifts i.e., the Fivefold Ministry: "Obey your Spiritual Leaders and do what they say. Their work is to watch over your souls, and they know they are accountable to God. Give them reason to do this joyfully and not with sorrow. That would certainly not be for your benefit" (Heb. 13:17 NLT).

PRAYER:

Heavenly Father, we magnify Your Holy Name. O Lord, we pray that You grant us the Wisdom to fully understand the Purpose of the Fivefold Ministry and grant us the Grace to align, cooperate with and support our Leaders maximally in Jesus' Mighty Name. Amen.

*DOMINION MANDATE DAILY DEVOTIONAL*

*THURSDAY, JULY 10, 2025*

*JESUS CHRIST IS THE WISDOM OF GOD*

*BIBLE READING: PROVERBS 8-9; JOB 12:13-25; PROVERBS 3:19; LUKE 2:40, 52; COLOSSIANS 2:3*

*"But it is from Him that you are in Christ Jesus, Who became to us Wisdom from God [revealing His Plan of Salvation], and Righteousness [making us acceptable to God], and Sanctification [making us Holy and setting us apart for God], and Redemption [providing our Ransom from the penalty for sin] so then, as it is written [in Scripture], “He who boasts and glories, let him boast and glory in the Lord.”1Corinthians 1:30 (Amplified Bible)*

Have you ever faced a crossroads in life, unsure which path to take? Or encountered a complex problem that seemed to have no solution? More than just knowing facts, True Wisdom is the Divine Insight into the Very Heart of Reality. It's not just understanding what things are, but knowing how to handle them with God's Perfect Guidance, discerning the right course of action in any situation. As Proverbs 4:7 declares, *"Wisdom is the Principal Thing; therefore get Wisdom: and with all thy getting, get Understanding."* This Divine Wisdom is a Gift from God Himself! James 1:5 assures us: *"If any of you lacks Wisdom, let him ask of God, Who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him."* This isn't a mere suggestion; it's an open Invitation to tap into the Mind of the Creator. Think of King Solomon, who, instead of riches or long life, humbly asked for an Understanding heart to govern God's people *(1Kgs. 3:9).* God granted his request, enabling him to make Wise Judgments like discerning the true mother of a child *(1Kgs. 3:16-28).* Or consider Joseph, whose God-given Wisdom allowed him to interpret Pharaoh’s dreams and prepare Egypt for a seven-year famine, saving countless lives *(Gen. 41:14-40).* This is the Power of God's Wisdom in action!

The New Testament authors powerfully reveal that the Lord Jesus Christ embodies the Very Essence of Old Testament Wisdom. The Apostle Paul explicitly identifies Christ Jesus as *"the Wisdom of God"* (1Cor. 1:24). This isn't just a Title; it emphasizes that the Fullness of Divine Understanding and Insight dwells within Jesus Himself *(Col. 2:3).* In Christ Jesus, Wisdom is perfectly personified, demonstrating God’s Infinite Knowledge and Perfect Judgment. This is beautifully seen in how Jesus navigated every challenge and question posed by His adversaries. For instance, when the Pharisees tried to trap Him with the question of paying taxes to Caesar, Jesus wisely responded: *"Give back to Caesar what is Caesar’s, and to God what is God’s"* (Matt. 22:21). This answer not only avoided their trap but also imparted a profound lesson on balancing civic responsibility with Ultimate Spiritual Devotion. Another Powerful example is when the religious leaders brought the woman caught in adultery to Him, seeking to condemn her. Jesus, full of Wisdom and Grace, simply said, *"Let any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her"* (Jn. 8:7). His Words disarmed her accusers and offered her a Path to New Life.

Because Jesus Christ is indeed the Personification of God’s Wisdom and because He lives within us through the Holy Spirit, we possess an Incredible Reservoir of Divine Knowledge about the past, present, and future *(1Cor. 1:30).* In our daily lives, we constantly face challenges and problems that demand solutions. The Wisdom residing in us through the Holy Spirit equips us to address these issues effectively. Beyond Daniel and Solomon, think of Nehemiah, who, through God's Wisdom, rebuilt the walls of Jerusalem amidst fierce opposition *(Neh. 2:17-20; 4:15-20).* Or consider the Apostles, filled with Wisdom to preach the Gospel boldly and resolve disputes within the church *(Acts 6:3, 4:13).* This Indwelling Wisdom empowers us to make Sound decisions by Creative Solutions that honour God. Proverbs 3:13-18 speaks profoundly to the Inestimable Value of Wisdom, stating, *"Blessed are those who find Wisdom, those who gain Understanding, for She is more profitable than silver and yields better returns than gold. She is more precious than rubies; nothing you desire can compare with Her. Long life is in Her Right Hand; in Her Left Hand are Riches and Honour. Her Ways are Pleasant Ways, and all Her Paths are Peace. She is a Tree of Life to those who take hold of Her; those who hold Her fast will be blessed."* Wisdom is not merely an option; it is essential for living a life that truly honours God and fulfills His Divine Purposes. By continually seeking and diligently applying God’s Wisdom, we can navigate life’s complexities with Grace and Confidence, becoming a Powerful Beacon of Light in a world in desperate need of Godly Insight. Jesus, Who perfectly embodies the Wisdom of God, serves as our Ultimate Example. Through His life, His Teachings, and the indwelling Holy Spirit, we learn how to apply Divine Wisdom in all our daily lives.

*PRAYER:*

Heavenly Father, we thank You for the Incredible Treasure of Your Divine Wisdom deposited within us through Christ Jesus. We declare that because He Who is in us is Greater than he who is in the world, we possess all Knowledge. O Lord, we engage the Spirit of Wisdom now, receiving Divine Solutions to every challenge in our lives, our families, and our spheres of influence in Jesus’ Mighty Name. Amen.

THROUGH WISDOM A HOUSE IS BUILT

BIBLE READING: PROVERBS 4: 7; ECCLESIASTES 1:1; 1 PETER 2:4-5; 1 PETER 2:4-5; ISAIAH 11:2; EPHESIANS 1:17

“Through Wisdom a house is built, and by Understanding it is established; by Knowledge the rooms are filled with all precious and pleasant riches.” Proverbs 24:3-4 (NKJV)

Have you ever considered that your life is a house and that the Lord God Almighty is the Ultimate Architect? Just as a physical house provides safety and comfort, our lives are meant to be built on a Strong Foundation. But this then begs the question: What exactly is that Foundation? It is none other than Divine Wisdom! The world defines Wisdom as smart thinking from experience, but God's Wisdom is far beyond human understanding. It's a Supernatural Insight into His Plans and Purposes. The Holy Bible states in James 1:5 that "If any of you lacks Wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault." This isn't just a suggestion; it's an invitation to tap into the Very Mind of God Himself just like King Solomon did when he prayed for Wisdom and received it abundantly (1Kgs. 3:1-14). Whenever we use God's Wisdom to build our lives, our families, our work, and our character, we are truly fulfilling our Divine Purpose and making a lasting impact on the world around us.

The Gift of the Word of Wisdom from the Holy Spirit often gives Christian believers a clear picture of the future and solutions to problems before they even arrive. Our Creator and Sustainer, the Lord God Almighty, freely offers His Wisdom to all who seek it with a sincere heart. The Holy Bible itself is a Powerful Vessel of God’s Wisdom, promising Success to those who live by its Truths (Josh. 1:8). The Lord Jesus Himself confirmed this, saying "But Wisdom is proved right by all her children" (Lk. 7:35). This means God's Wisdom is always Purposeful, Productive and Life-giving, capable of bringing forth Amazing, Creative Wonders. Proverbs 3:19-20 beautifully illustrates how Wisdom is Foundational to all creation: "By Wisdom the Lord laid the Earth’s foundations, by Understanding He set the Heavens in place; by His Knowledge the watery depths were divided, and the clouds let drop the dew." Truly, Wisdom builds, nurtures, strengthens and fills every "house" – whether it's a physical building, a family, a business, or the very character of an individual.

The Holy Scriptures lovingly call Christian believers "God’s House" (Heb. 3:6). Through God's Divine Wisdom, we are being built into a Magnificent Spiritual Edifice. Ephesians 2:19-22 paints a vivid picture: "Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God’s people and also members of His Household, built on the Foundation of the Apostles and Prophets, with Christ Jesus Himself as the Chief Cornerstone. In Him, the Whole Building is joined together and rises to become a Holy Temple in the Lord. And in Him, you too are being built together to become a Dwelling in which God lives by His Spirit." The Apostle Paul powerfully reminds us in 1 Corinthians 3:16-17 that we are indeed God’s Temple, and His Holy Spirit makes His Home within us. This is not just a metaphor; it's a Profound Spiritual Reality that calls us to live in a way that honours His Indwelling Presence.

The Holy Scriptures often describe Wisdom as a diligent and industrious woman, actively involved in building and preparing. Proverbs 9:1-2 beautifully depicts this: "Wisdom has built Her House; She has set up its Seven Pillars. She has prepared Her Meat and mixed Her Wine; She has also set Her Table." King Solomon, known for his unparalleled Wisdom, poetically showed Wisdom as an Active Force that plans, provides, and prepares. Furthermore, James 3:17 highlights the Pure and Practical Nature of Divine Wisdom: "But the Wisdom that comes from Heaven is first of all Pure; then Peace-loving, Considerate, Submissive, full of Mercy and Good Fruit, Impartial and Sincere." Applying this kind of Wisdom in our lives leads to building something that will stand strong against any storm and endure the test of time. As members of the Body of Christ, we are collectively being built into One Holy Temple in the Lord. By continually seeking and applying God’s Wisdom, we are actively participating in His Grand, Eternal Design, becoming a Magnificent Spiritual House that brings Him Glory. Let us consistently ask for and apply this Divine Wisdom in every area of our lives, ensuring that our foundations are unshakeable and our impact for His Kingdom is Everlasting.

PRAYER:

Heavenly Father, we thank You for being the Ultimate Architect and for the Gift of Your Divine Wisdom. We pray for more of Your Wisdom to build our lives, our families, and everything You've entrusted to us according to Your Perfect Blueprint. May we be Living Stones, fitly joined in Your Glorious Spiritual House, bringing You Honour and Praise in Jesus' Mighty Name. Amen.
