*_DAILY WALK WITH CHRIST_*

*SATURDAY, 18TH SEPTEMBER, 2021*
*TEXT: 1 CORINTHIANS 7:3-5*
3. _The husband should fulfill his marital duty to his wife, and likewise the wife to her husband._
4. _The wife does not have authority over her own body but yields it to her husband. In the same way, the husband does not have authority over his own body but yields it to his wife._
5. _Do not deprive each other except perhaps by mutual consent and for a time, so that you may devote yourselves to prayer. Then come together again so that Satan will not tempt you because of your lack of self-control._
*TOPIC: LOVE YIELDS*
One of the ways couples can tell each other 'I love you' is in complying to request for conjugal relationship. You pledged to love and give yourselves to each other on your wedding day; it is unfaithfulness not to keep the oath. According to our text, once married, you have no authority over your body, your spouse does. Your response to sexual need shows real love or resentment. Yielding shows obedience to God's command, but denial is disobedience, which can actually lead to temptation. House boys and maids can be assigned to serve in other areas but not in conjugal relationship as often seen in some families. Brethren, conjugal relationship is strictly for the married. Be warned, premarital and extramarital affairs attract God's wrath.
*REFLECTION:* _Unyielding attitudes ruin marriage, watch it._
*PRAYER:* _Please Lord, help couples to yield to each other always. Amen._
*Today's Reading Plan:* _Nahum 1-3_
