In a world full of noise, our greatest prayer is that we never lose the ability to recognize the voice of our Shepherd.

Today, as we worshipped, our hearts were drawn to one desire: to be led by God in every season, every decision, and every step.

May we never become too familiar with the voices around us that we fail to hear the One who matters most.

Every great journey begins with knowing whose voice you’re following.

Today, Pastor Nkem began a new teaching series, “Tuning In,” reminding us that one of the greatest gifts God has given the believer is the privilege of being led by Him.

Here are some of the key truths we learned:

📖 (Joshua 3:4) Divine guidance is essential for every believer. To succeed on the earth, we must learn to hear, recognize, and follow the voice of God.

God designed every detail of our lives. Every season has already been accounted for in His plan. Living by human wisdom alone is pride; when God leads, our response should be obedience.

Why do we need the guidance of the Holy Spirit? 🤔

✔️ To discern direction. In these last days, we need the Holy Spirit to recognize truth and avoid deception. (2 Corinthians 11:14, 1 John 2:20)

✔️ For the specifics of our lives. God is interested in the details, not just the destination. (1 Corinthians 2:9)

✔️ For the specifics of faith. Many people struggle in faith because they fail to recognize God’s voice and act on it. God will not outsource His leading through prophets.

Pastor Nkem also taught that God primarily leads us through the inward witness. The challenge isn’t that God is silent; the challenge is that many believers are not tuned in. We tune in by trusting Him and acknowledging Him. (Proverbs 3:5)

Good intentions are not the same as divine direction. Just because something looks good doesn’t mean it is God’s will.

God leads us first in our spirits. Because He lives in us, the guidance we seek is already within us. ✍🏽🎤

Learning to be led by God requires a growing relationship with Him and a strong spirit.

In closing, we were reminded that there is the voice of the body and there is the voice of the spirit—our conscience. To hear the Lord clearly, we must learn to discern these voices as He speaks through knowings, thoughts, and inner nudges.

Some answers don’t come from thinking harder, they come from pressing deeper into God.

Today, we prayed for spiritual sight, attentive ears, and hearts that recognize the voice of the Father.

We asked for divine ideas, clear direction, and the grace to follow every instruction He gives.

May we never be too distracted to hear Him or too familiar to recognize His leading.

His faithfulness has been our song, His mercy has been our story, and His goodness has followed us every step of the way.

With joyful hearts and grateful voices, we lifted our praise to the One who has done more for us than words could ever express.

Every shout of praise was a declaration that God has been faithful, and every dance was a response to His unfailing love.

Every significant change in a person’s life begins with hearing and obeying God’s voice. Divine direction is what sets us on the path to purpose and positions us for all that God has prepared.

Yet, many people miss those moments of instruction. When God’s voice is ignored or overlooked, opportunities for growth, transformation, and purpose can be delayed.

This Sunday, we’ll be learning how to recognize and respond to God’s leading through His Word.
