Text: Luke 21:15
*For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.*

HOW TO SURVIVE AND OVERCOME ADVERSITY

Adversaries are the enemies that oppose or resist progress. Their mission is to cause intense hardship and to complicate the lives of their victim. This is to say that Adversaries are the reason for adversity.

Therefore, to survive the season of adversity one must overcome the adversary.

Our opening text is the solution that Jesus provided for the church to survive any adversity, even when persecution and trials escalate.

Satan is the common adversary of the believers, and the scripture predicts the end times to be the era in which he will escalate evil and wickedness to afflict the saints and cause pain for many families.

However, Jesus gave us the strategy to survive the evil era. In our opening text, Jesus said, "I will give you a and a ." With it, you can fight and defeat satan, the adversary.

Child of God, the point here is that your mouth is your weapon against the adversary.

We use our mouths against our adversaries by boldly declaring the word of God against them.

In Isaiah 54:17 the bible said No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and EVERY TONGUE that shall rise against thee in judgment THOU SHALT CONDEMN. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.

When Satan makes an enchantment to invoke evil opposition against your progress know that you have a heritage in God to speak back and stop that evil from harming you.

Whenever you are in a situation that is contrary to the will of God for your life boldly declare the word of God against it.

Attack the evil arrow of sickness by declaring that you are healed by the stripes of Jesus. Declare against the evil of poverty that you are blessed and the Lord is supplying all your needs according to His riches in Christ Jesus.

This is the way to use your mouth to overcome adversaries.

I pray for you to receive the grace to boldly speak the word of God in the face of the challenges that you may be facing right now in Jesus' name.

* *
Thank God for the gift of His word and wisdom that gives us the advantage to overcome adversaries.

Declare the word of God against every adversary that may be complicating your life.

Declare that with Jesus on your side, you are unstoppable. Declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper in the name of Jesus.

Text: Romans 4:20
*He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God;*

*ACCESS TO THE PROMISES OF GOD*

The promises of God, as revealed in the Bible, are true and can be a reality in your life if you know how to access them.

The challenge with some believers is that they don't know how to receive what has been promised to them. They complain and murmur against God instead of giving thanks to Him while waiting for what He promises to manifest in their lives.

Thanksgiving is one of the most profound mysteries in the kingdom of God, providing believers with access to God's promises.

In our opening text, the Bible says Abraham did not stagger at the promise of God even when there was a delay that seemed it was no longer biologically possible for him and his wife, Sarah to have a child.

Abraham continued to thank God while he waited for the promised child. His Thanksgiving glorifies God, and the Bible says his faith grows stronger.

There is a connection between faith and thanksgiving. In Luke chapter 17, the Bible said that when one of the 10 l***rs Jesus healed turned back to glorify God with his Thanksgiving, Jesus said to him in verse 19, "THY FAITH HATH MADE THEE WHOLE."

Jesus refers to the Thanksgiving of the Samaritan l***r as * .* This is to say that Thanksgiving is a very strong expression of faith in God.

Brethren, let us grow our faith with the act of thanksgiving. If you are persuaded that God will not fail you then give thanks to him in anticipation.

You have come a long way trusting in God. You are at the point of manifestation already. Don't give up. Don't murmur or despair. Instead, rejoice and glorify God. Not because everything is okay, but because you trust Him for the perfection of everything. I see you sharing your testimony in the name of Jesus.

I trust your thanksgiving will be turned to your testimony soon in the name of Jesus.

Text: 1 Thessalonians 5:24
*Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.*

GREAT IS THE FAITHFULNESS OF GOD

God's faithfulness to us is not because we deserve it, but because it is in His nature to be faithful.

Generally, faithfulness is one's devotion or commitment to a cause. It is the quality that makes one dependable. That is to say that a faithful person is dependable.

The faithfulness of God toward His promises to His children is so great. He is committed to the success of His children. Those who trust God to be faithful rely on Him always, and they are never disappointed.

David declared in *Psalms 37:25* that *"I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread."* This is because of the faithfulness of God. He will never deny His own nor forsake them.

People of God, I declare to you that faithful is God who called us to fulfill His purpose on earth. By His faithfulness, He will accomplish all that He has planned for our lives, in Jesus' name.

God's faithfulness to us is reliable not only because He is devoted to fulfilling His promises but also because He has the resources and capability to do what He has promised.

Even when we are unfaithful to God, His faithfulness remains with us. It is because of God's faithfulness that He forgives our sins against Him when we return to Him in repentance.

God has called us to fulfill a great destiny on earth. In our opening text, the Bible says His faithfulness to see that we succeed makes Him help us do all that is needed for our success.

Be assured that God will never fail to fulfill His promises to you.

* *
Thank God for His faithfulness toward you and your family.

Pray and declare that the faithfulness of God will help you accomplish the great destiny you are called to fulfill on earth, in the name of Jesus.

Text: Hebrews 4:16
*Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.*

*HAVE CONFIDENCE IN THE HELP OF GOD*

There is help from God, as well as help from man or humanity. When people try to help themselves without God, it often ends in painful regrets and disappointments.

The help of God is reliable and dependable. It never fails. That’s why you should trust in God's help rather than in the arm of flesh.

In our opening text, the Bible says we should come confidently to God to receive grace to help in times of need. This is because His help will never fail us.

Brethren, there is a time of need. True, you may not need help at all times, but you will need it at some point. The good news is that we always have a helper who can meet all our needs. Hallelujah!

God promised that He will never leave us nor forsake us so that we can say with confidence that He is our Helper (Hebrews 13:5-6). This means God's presence with us is the assurance of His help.

You cannot have the presence of God with you and be helpless under any circumstance. That’s why David confidently declared in Psalms 23:4, "Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: FOR THOU ART WITH ME; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me."

The confidence David had in the midst of darkness and opposition was because God was with him. Child of God, that’s the point. The presence of God with you guarantees His help in all situations.

Remember, that God is faithful to His promise that He will never leave nor forsake us. No matter what we face, no matter how tough or difficult things get, God will never leave us. The Bible says, even when your mother and father forsake you, God will still be there to help you (Psalms 27:10).

Now, are you sure of God's presence with you? If yes, then confidently say with me, "THE LORD IS MY HELPER". Hallelujah!

God is truly our helper. His help to us is timely and enough to meet all our needs.

Child of God, put your confidence in God's help and do not fear what you may be going through now. Call on God for help, and He will come through for you.

* *
Thank God for His promise never to leave nor forsake you. Thank Him for His constant presence with you.

Declare that the Lord is your helper, and you will not fear what man can do to you. Declare that the Lord is your helper, and you shall never be put to shame, in the name of Jesus.

Text: John 2:5
*His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it.*

*OBEYING THE WORD OF GOD ENSURES RECEIVING THE PROMISES OF GOD*

In our opening text, Mary, the mother of Jesus, assured the people that if they carried out whatever Jesus instructed, they would obtain what they needed.

Doing what the word of God instructs is not mere advice; it is a requirement for experiencing the miraculous through the word of God.

It’s one thing to hear God's word; it’s another to do what it says. Many hear the word, but few obey it. That's why not everyone experiences the fulfillment of God's promises.

Listening to the word of God builds faith, and obeying what it says requires faith. Therefore, hearing the word and acting on it are essential steps to see miracles manifest.

Hearing the word of God alone without acting on what is instructed is incomplete. Similarly, acting blindly without knowing what the word says is incomplete.

Child of God, the complete process to claim God's promises is hearing (studying), understanding, and obeying His word.

Think about this: what if the servants at the wedding had not obeyed Jesus? What would have happened? The miracle wouldn’t have occurred—not because God’s power was lacking, but because no one followed His instructions.

Many struggle with trying to make sense of what God said before they obey. No need, friends. Consider this: how sensible was it to serve water from a dirty source to guests expecting wine? But if God said it and you believe it, that’s all that matters. It may not make sense to man, but when God says it, be sure that when you obey God is committed to perform it.

* *
Thank God in advance for the fulfillment of His word and promises in your life.

Pray for the grace to be a doer, not just a hearer, of the word of God, in the mighty name of Jesus.

Text: Romans 6:8
*For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.*

*BE SPIRITUALLY MINDED*

To be spiritually minded simply means to be guided or governed in life by the Holy Spirit instead of the senses. It implies setting your mind on things with spiritual values and being spiritually sensitive.

Being alive and lively spiritually requires believers to pay attention to their spiritual environment. In Colossians 3:2 the Bible says that we should set our affection on things above (spiritual) and not on things with earthly relevance alone.

Living life by physical senses alone is what our opening text refers to as being carnally minded. Living the Christian life with a carnal mind is impossible.

The inability of the carnal mind to live the Christian life is what our opening text means by being carnally minded is death.

In Colossians 3:1 the Bible says " If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God."

To be spiritually minded means to place value on spiritual things and intentionally promote them above things with only earthly value that perishes with the earth.

Create time to meditate on the word of God and pray. Intentionally apply the word of God in your life. Invest your time and resources to build the kingdom of God and not only in perishable things.

Build up eternal treasures by spreading love and winning perishing souls into the kingdom of God.

Finally to be spiritually minded is to invest in your soul more than in your physical needs, knowing that whatever we gather on earth will perish with the earth. Only our soul is eternal.

* *
Thank God for the salvation of your soul.

Pray and receive the grace to be spiritually awake and to consciously walk in love and spread the word of God to your circle of influence in the name of Jesus.

Text: Colossians 2:7
*Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.*

BUILDING STRONG FAITH IN GOD

Our opening text establishes that until one is rooted and firmly fixed in Christ, one's faith in God cannot be established or become strong. This means that building strong faith in God requires one to be rooted and grounded in Christ.

Christ-centered Faith is the Bible Faith that engages the acts of God to perform the will of God in the life of a believer.

This kind of faith believes in God through Jesus Christ for everything and gives thanks to God in every situation.

To everyone who is established in Christ, Thanksgiving is not only for appreciating God for what He has done, but also for acknowledging God's faithfulness and commitment to do what he promised.

To a believer in Christ Jesus, the deeper reason for thanksgiving is to build up their faith in God for what they are trusting Him to do for them and through them.

This is to say that the believers do not wait for God to do it before they give him thanks, rather, they give Him thanks believing that He will surely do it as He has promised (Romans 4:19).

Child of God, the key to building up your faith and having unshakable faith in God is to abound in thanksgiving to God for all you believe God to do for you.

Take time to give quality thanks to God for everything you are putting your trust in Him to do for you. Don't wait to see it done before you give Him thanks. Give God thanks because you believe He will not fail you even when you have not received it yet.

As you abound in thanksgiving, you shall receive abundantly the result of your faith in God in Jesus' name.

* *
Give thanks to God for He will never fail you nor forsake you.

Thank God for all your expectations and your prayer requests, believing that they will soon be your testimony in the name of Jesus.

Beloved and esteemed family and friends, Shalom.

Text: Romans 4:20
*He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God;*

*STRONG FAITH GUARANTEES RECEIVING THE PROMISES OF GOD*

All the promises of God in the scriptures are attainable through faith. This means that faith is necessary to realize the promises in the Word of God.

The book of Hebrews 6:12 says, "That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises."

However, it is important to know that not all kinds of faith will secure the promises of God. The faith that works is what the Bible calls STRONG FAITH.

Two types of faith are identified in Romans chapter 4. In verse 19, the Bible says, "And being not WEAK in FAITH, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah's womb:"

Here, the Bible warns against WEAK FAITH. This kind of faith is different from strong faith because it focuses on the physical condition of the situation.

Weak faith is unstable and unreliable. It depends on how the condition looks at the time. It chooses whether or not to believe based on the physical circumstances. This is what Apostle James called wavering faith (James 1:6). Such faith may believe God for healing headaches and malaria but doubt when faced with cancer.

Faith that wavers is unstable and cannot receive any promise from God (James 1:6-7).

Strong faith is the faith that secures the promises of God. It does not stagger or doubt God's promises regardless of the physical situation.

This type of faith stands on the truth of God's Word and is fully convinced that God is able and willing to do what He promised, even when the situation seems physically "hopeless." This is unshakable faith in circumstances typically considered impossible.

Strong faith honors God, and in return, God also honors strong faith with miracles. It calls things that are not as though they were. It remains stable in all situations, always giving thanks to God.

Strong faith is the faith that overcomes. I pray your faith overcomes your obstacles in the name of Jesus.

* *
Thank God for all His promises to you in His Word.

Decree and declare that all God’s promises are true, and through faith, you will obtain what belongs to you in Jesus’ name.

Text: Habakkuk 3:18
*Yet I will rejoice in the LORD; I will joy in the God of my salvation.*

REJOICE IN THE LORD ALWAYS

Joy is one of the qualities that the Holy Spirit produces in the recreated spirit of a believer. It is listed second among the fruits of the Spirit in Galatians 5:22.

The joy of the Lord is unlike the joy that naturally comes with achieving desired goals. Naturally, people rejoice when they have their way, and they become sad when they do not get what they want.

One of the things Jesus pointed out as a benefit to believers who remain connected in an inseparable union with Him is that His joy will stay in them, and their JOY WILL BE FULL (John 15:11).

Therefore, the key to the joy of the Lord in believers is to stay connected to Christ. The union of divinity with humanity in redemption is the source of the joy of the Lord in a believer. This kind of joy does not fluctuate with external stimuli. It remains constant in all situations, under all circumstances.

Apostle Peter said this joy is unspeakable and full of glory (1 Peter 1:8). This means words cannot fully describe why a believer is rejoicing.

In our opening text, the Bible speaks of a farmer who lost everything in a season but said, "YET I WILL REJOICE IN THE LORD; I WILL JOY IN THE GOD OF MY SALVATION." Hallelujah! This is joy without a reasonable human explanation. Naturally, no one is expected to rejoice in such circumstances.

Note, we don't rejoice because of negative circumstances, but we REJOICE IN THE LORD amid such circumstances to draw strength from Him to overcome them. This is because the joy of the Lord is our strength. Hallelujah.

The joy of the Lord resides in every believer. Child of God, nurture it. It is one of your greatest strengths against the enemy.

When the enemy thinks he has placed you in a situation to be depressed and discovers you are rejoicing, he will weaken, while you build more strength to overcome.

* *
Thank God for being the source of your joy.

Declare that the joy of the Lord is your strength, and you will never give the devil the satisfaction of seeing you sad and depressed, in Jesus' name.

Highly esteemed family and friends, Shalom.

Text: Matthew 13:16
*But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear.*

*MAXIMIZING THE OPPORTUNITIES AROUND YOU*

In our opening text, Jesus made it clear that it's a blessing to have seeing eyes and hearing ears. Jesus was referring to spiritual understanding for the transformation.

It is not everyone whose eyes and ears are physically open that can discern or understand spiritual realities. Many miss the opportunities around them because they are not spiritually alert enough to recognize what God has placed around for their advantage.

Besides our physical eyes and ears, we also have spiritual and mental eyes and ears.

Being sensitive and spiritually alert to see and hear with both physical and spiritual senses is what it means to have seeing eyes and hearing ears.

You need a hearing ear and a seeing eye to identify and make the most of the opportunities God has placed around us.

The story of Hagar and her son Ishmael in Genesis chapter 21 teaches us a lesson about seeing eyes. In the desert, they ran out of water, and her son was dying of thirst. She was frustrated and crying about her son’s impending death due to dehydration. Unbeknownst to her, she was sitting next to a well of water.

In Genesis 21:19, the Bible says, *"And God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water, and she went, and filled the bottle with water, and gave the lad drink."*

Though her eyes were physically open, she couldn’t see the well right next to her. It took God opening her spiritual eyes for her to see the water needed to save her son’s life.

This may be the situation for many people—they are close to what they need to move forward but cannot see it. This shall not be your portion in the name of Jesus.

Child of God, I pray that the Lord will open our eyes and ears to see and hear Him when He guides us toward the opportunities around us, in the name of Jesus.

* *
Thank God for blessing your eyes to see and your ears to hear Him.

Declare that your eyes will see and locate all the opportunities around you, and your ears will hear the voice of the Holy Spirit guiding you to the privileges God has placed within your reach, in the name of Jesus.

Shalom, highly esteemed family and friends.

Text: Romans 8:1
"There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit."

NO MORE CONDEMNATION

When Adam and Eve sinned, humanity lost the right to live in God's presence. That is why they ran and hid from God.

Sin separated mankind from God and brought eternal condemnation upon the whole human race, preventing us from enjoying any of God's benefits.

But God's love could not allow mankind to remain in condemnation forever. He made a way out through Jesus Christ, who paid the price for mankind’s redemption from condemnation.

Anyone who accepts the gift of salvation through Christ Jesus regains full access to God's presence and all its benefits.

This means believers are truly and effectively freed from guilt. The blood of Jesus paid entirely for the freedom of everyone who believes in Him (John 3:18).

Every believer now has the right to approach God's throne with confidence, knowing they are accepted. Additionally, the privilege of being in God's presence without guilt is now the inheritance of believers. We are made righteous through Christ Jesus.

In the Old Testament, access to God's presence and His blessings depended on full obedience to the law given by Moses. However, the law became an obstacle that no one could fully obey.

Now, through Christ, believers can enjoy all the benefits of the law because Jesus fulfilled the law for us (Matthew 5:17).

All the love and acceptance obtained through perfect obedience to the law are now the inheritance of believers, because Christ was perfectly obedient on our behalf.

Jesus' death on the cross is not a tragedy as some might think. The cross is where justice and mercy meet for the deliverance of humanity from eternal condemnation. Our sins were judged there, and mercy justified us.

Christ did not go to the cross alone. The entire human race was on that cross with Him. The Bible says we are in Him. Though we are not physically there, He died in our place so we could be truly free.

Our sinful nature was crucified with Him, ending our condemnation. And now, we can boldly declare that there is no more condemnation for us. Hallelujah!

We are now truly free from the corrupt nature that enslaved mankind to sin and its consequences.

We are fully forgiven and justified to live without any guilt of sin. You might not feel it; some may find it hard to believe the profound changes that happen when we receive Jesus into our lives.

We are now the righteousness of God. We have unlimited access to God's presence. God is pleased with us, and we are genuinely His children.

Though our physical condition may not have changed much, something monumental has transformed at our core. We are a new creation, and God's Spirit lives inside us, guiding us to reflect His character and nature.

* *
Thank God for fully paying the price for your redemption from eternal condemnation.

Declare that you are no longer condemned, and that you now have full access to God's presence and all the blessings it brings.

Text: Luke 18:1
*And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;*

PRAY ALWAYS AND WIN ALWAYS

It is often said that prayer is a master key. Truly, prayer is the key to victory in living the Christian life.

However, many believers have fainted in the place of prayer. They became discouraged and gave up. This is exactly what Jesus was pointing out in our text. He taught His disciples, emphasizing the need to be persistent in prayer and never to give up.

Child of God, beware of preachers who encourage you to neglect prayer in pursuit of success. Hard work is good and encouraged, but it cannot replace prayer. Both are essential.

Jesus taught that prayer should be persistent always, and we cannot teach otherwise and claim to follow Him.

Balancing your prayer life with hard work to achieve your goals is both necessary and important. Neglecting prayer in favor of hard work exposes you to satanic attacks that may hinder your efforts.

Persistence in prayer is the way to make stubborn spirits, determined to resist your progress and stop your goals, give up and step aside.

Child of God, when you see doors closed against your progress, keep the prayer altar burning with intense prayer. And when things are working in your favor and you're advancing at full speed, never forget to keep the prayer altar burning with thanksgiving to God for everything.

Jesus concluded this parable in verse 8 of our text by pointing out that persistent prayer is an expression of faith in God. That is what is expected of faithful believers.

I declare to you in the name of Jesus, God will intervene on time for you where people have conspired against you to hinder your progress.

* *
Thank God for helping you overcome the resistance of the enemy against you and your family.

Declare that with God's help, you are achieving your goals and breaking the limitations set by the enemy in the name of Jesus.
