EXTRA
• Guarding Your Heart – Proverbs 4:23 (KJV) says, “Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.” The enemy sows doubt, lust, envy, and pride, but a believer who guards their heart protects their entire life. The heart shapes thoughts, emotions, and desires—keeping it pure ensures a life of righteousness.
• Hell: Separation from God – 2 Thessalonians 1:9 (KJV) warns of “everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord.” Hell is not just torment but total separation from God. Without Him, there is no peace, joy, or life. Just as heaven is glorious because of God’s presence, hell is dreadful because He is absent.
• The Heart Matters More Than Offerings – 1 Samuel 16:7 (KJV) says, “For the Lord seeth not as man seeth… the Lord looketh on the heart.” True worship begins with a heart yielded to God. Service without a sincere heart is empty. Like the good ground in Mark 4:8 (KJV), faith must be nurtured to bear fruit.
• Sin Starts in the Heart – James 1:15 (KJV) warns, “Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin… bringeth forth death.” Cain’s envy led to murder (Genesis 4:6-7). Unchecked desires destroy lives, but surrendering to God keeps believers in righteousness, ensuring eternal joy in His presence.
