We live in a world that's mostly influenced by relativism and that has advertently influence how we interpret – give meaning to fundamental questions about life. There are about four thousand (4000) religion in the world and we most definitely can not say all of these religion are equally true. The notion that all of these religion are true is refer to as religious pluralism.
Religious pluralism is the idea that all religion on their merits leads to salvation – God. Hence, no one has the exclusive truth, more or less, right, to claim that their religion is better than other religion. However, appealing this may sound to the relativist this blatantly kills the spirit of EVANGELISM.
All religion can't be true primarily because they make contradictory truth claims. The three monotheistic religions for example: Islam, Judaism and Christianity. Islam believes Jesus wasn't crucified, Judaism believes He didn't resurrect, whereas Christians believes He died on the cross and resurrected. This, however, is the cornerstone upon which Christianity is hinged upon, the resurrection of Jesus Christ...
Jesus can not both rise from the dead and not rise from the dead in the same sense. Either the proposition of the Christian religion is true or the negation is true, they both can't be true. This is known as the law of excluded middle.
C.S Lewis once said 'Christianity, if false, is of no importance, and if true, is of infinite importance. The only thing it cannot be is moderately important.'
In all of these religion why do we claim that the Christian religion is true?
