The Holy Spirit isn’t an afterthought or a force. In Scripture, He’s the third Person of the Trinity—God present with and in believers right now.

His “place” is both with the Church corporately and in the believer personally.

Join us this Pentecost Sunday as we explore through THE PLACE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.

🎶 Tell that Story —

Originally written for Captain Paul Williams and the 2023 East of England Youth Summer School Band, Tell that Story beautifully features the songs Blessèd Assurance and Tell Me the Stories of Jesus.

The arrangement is a joyful reminder and heartfelt call for God’s people to share their personal testimonies of Christ’s love, grace, and faithfulness.

Martin Cordner, a Salvation Army Officer and accomplished composer, has been writing music since 1987, with his first published work appearing in 1994. To date, he has over 70 published brass band works to his name.

In 1989, he began working at The Salvation Army’s International Headquarters, where he came under the influence and mentorship of some of the Army’s most respected musicians, including Colonels Ray Bowes, Robert Redhead, and Ray Steadman-Allen, alongside Dr. Stephen Cobb, Richard Phillips, Kevin Norbury, and Dr. Peter Graham.

We hope you’ll enjoy this lively and inspiring presentation by the Abuja Central Corps Band (ACCB) as much as we did.

“WORTHY” — & Simon Gash

Here’s a powerful clip of the Abuja Central Corps Songsters ministering the song “Worthy” by Emma Pears and Simon Gash.

Through the years, Emma Pears and Simon Gash have continued to make remarkable contributions to music ministry within The Salvation Army, blessing hearts through deeply inspiring and spirit-filled compositions. Their collaborations have consistently produced songs that draw listeners closer to God in worship and reflection.

“Worthy” beautifully reminds us of the majesty and wonder of the Triune God — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. It expresses the gratitude, humility, and awe we feel as we reflect on God’s greatness, His love, and His mighty works.

As you listen to this rendition by the Abuja Central Corps Songsters, may you not only enjoy the melody, but also connect deeply with the powerful message behind the song.

Be blessed.

Today, Sunday 17th May 2026, Abuja Central Corps witnessed a remarkable and memorable occasion as the Corps formally celebrated the retirement of the Corps Sergeant Major, Christopher Omoteloye, and the Corps Treasurer, Dr. Eric Uchenna David.

Having faithfully served in their respective offices since 1996 and 1998, they have remained shining beacons of light within the Corps, exemplifying dedication, humility, and selfless commitment to the work of God and the growth of the Corps family over the years.

The day also witnessed the commissioning of Hon. Monday Osadolor as the new Corps Treasurer, alongside Bro. Peter Arikpo, who was commissioned as the Colour Sergeant.

We warmly invite you to worship and celebrate with us tomorrow, Sunday, 17 May 2026, as two exceptional and devoted soldiers of Christ, our Corps Sergeant Major and Corps Treasurer, formally retire from active leadership service at Abuja Central Corps.

CSM Christopher Omoteloye (Omoteloye Chris), the founding Corps Sergeant Major of Abuja Central Corps, has served faithfully and graciously since 1996. For three remarkable decades, he has remained steadfast, dedicated, selfless, prayerful, and unwavering in his commitment to the work of God and the mission of The Salvation Army. His years of sacrificial leadership, godly counsel, humility, and service have left an enduring legacy within the Corps and beyond.

CT Dr. Eric Uchenna David, the founding Corps Treasurer of Abuja Central Corps, has also served diligently since 1998. Through the years, Dr. Eric has been dependable, faithful, resourceful, and deeply committed to the growth and stability of the Corps. His wisdom, integrity, and passion for service have made him a priceless gem to The Salvation Army.

“The best kind of leadership is service with grace;
Leaving behind a legacy time can never erase.”
— Samuel T. Rivers

We are truly blessed to have journeyed with these amazing soldiers of God’s Army. As they transition into this new phase of life, our prayers are that the Lord will continue to strengthen, preserve, and reward them abundantly for their labour of love in His vineyard.

Congratulations to CSM Christopher Omoteloye and CT Dr. Eric Uchenna David.
Your impact, service, and legacy will always be remembered.

Chiamaka Uzoma and Uchenna Chiedum

Today, we are delighted to share some lovely moments from their special day. We invite you all to join us in congratulating this wonderful young couple and praying God’s continued blessings upon their home.

Wishing Chiamaka and Uche a happy, fruitful, and Christ-filled married life together.

“There’s no-one, there’s no-one, like Jesus!”

This joyful and energetic African praise song, loved across nations, languages, and church traditions, is brought to life in a vibrant brass band arrangement by the award-winning Andrew Wainwright, specially written for the 2008 Zambia Territorial Music School of The Salvation Army.

Andrew Wainwright is an internationally respected composer and founder of BrookWright Music, whose works are performed by brass bands, wind bands, orchestras, and choirs around the world.

Away from music, he is also the co-creator of Football Club’s famous mascot, Gunnersaurus Rex — and with Arsenal pushing strongly for silverware, we would be more than delighted to see him celebrate their title-winning season! 😁

Exciting moments once again in the Music Department, as the Corps Officers, Captains Nkpoidet, to the glory of God, dedicated a brand new Armstrong Trombone alongside set of musical stands on Sunday 10 May 2026.

These items were generously donated to the Music Department by the Territorial Music Board Chairman, ACSM Envoy Essien A. Essien, who also serves as the Divisional Music Secretary for the Northern Division.

We are deeply grateful to God for the life and generosity of our Envoy, and we pray for God’s continued choicest blessings upon him as these instruments are used for the advancement of God’s work and to His glory.
