There is one thing a lot of you failed to understand in this matter.

This productive or unproductive you are talking about just remember one thing that it's at the expense of the poor members of the church, that supposedly needed to be cater for by the church.

Our pastors, General Overseers and our so called Papas in Nigeria are worst than Nigerian politicians they keep collecting the little ones the poor ones have and adding it to the abundant that they already have. They are never satisfied, the Bible called them gluttons.

Growth Index means generated revenues.
No wonder pastors these days Kajol members to give, they sweet-tongues poor member to give the little they have to their already rich G O's, Papas and pastors. Just Because they want to be productive at the detriment of their poor members.

Remember, you can only evangelize to people but you can't tie Rope on their neck to draw them to church. It is God that does the increase.

REAL FACT ABOUT NIGERIANS

Most times when we walk into big malls, boutiques and supermarkets we never question their prices. We pay exactly what we see on the price tags and even hand out tips to the staff.

But the moment we are out of these shops and want to buy banana and peanut our bargaining power rises to the roof.

A poor woman with hungry children at home tells you banana is N100. She even takes her time to explain how difficult it was for her to buy it from the market. But we insist that if it's not N50, we are not buying.

Some of us even step back into our cars and make to drive away. But because 'half bread is better than none', the woman is forced to run after you and sell at no gain.

In her heart she cries, she's worried about how she'll survive with her children. She silently reassures herself that 'It's well since she is not returning home with the banana. Her motivation is God will definitely provide some other day.

Meanwhile you drive off and happily chop the luscious banana.

Take some seconds to think about this. Am always moved to tears when I see people who genuinely and helplessly hawk petty goods to feed and survive for that day, especially women and children.

Please don't bargain too hard with small vendors. They do business not to buy designer bags, trendy phones, watches, shoes or designer clothes, but to FEED the family and CARE for the children in school.

This touched me when I realised it .

So lets CHANGE our ways. Its another way of spending on humanity in the will of God.

"HE WHO GIVES TO THE POOR LENDS TO HIS MAKER"

He said to me "Boy, I can raise seed with Revelation 20:15". We all laughed. We were all young 'prophets'. That night, he climbed the pulpit, sang one or two 'worship' songs and the 'atmosphere' changed. He preached about the reality of hell fire and everyone broke out in tears. Then he sang "I surrender...I surrender all...2X...all to Jesus, blessed savior, I surrender, i surrender all..." Even my legs started shaking. That guy can sing better than angels. And he looked very handsome too. Standing on the pulpit, he looked like an angel... everyone was blasting in tongues...such a revival....he had preached from Revelation 20:15. Everyone was rededicating their lives to avoid hell fire....it was under such 'tense atmosphere' that he paused abruptly as though a spirit was whispering something to him...the next thing I heard was "if the trumpet sounds today, how many of you will boldly tell God that they served Him with their money?"... everywhere became quite...guilt took over...then he said "this could be your last opportunity to surrender your all to God.... giving God your money is proof that you have given Him your heart...if you are here and you want to give God everything in your bank account, please come out".

A huge crowd came out...one girl I liked then also came out... That babe never admitted having money even for one day...she always took from me....but that day, she closed her account and gave to 'God'...

At the end of the service, the man of God said to me "boy, you saw how I raised 3 million with Revelation 20:15?"

I asked him "wasn't it the Holy Spirit?"...I was naive...

His reply shocked me... He said "Bro, Holy Spirit doesn't collect seed, they don't need money in heaven...but you can use the holy Spirit and collect money on Earth because money is needed here". Then he added "Boy, wake up else poverty go kill you". I was restless. 2 questions kept re-echoing in my mind "so someone can still preach hell fire and holiness but still bow to Mammon?...is this all games...is there something real beyond these games?"
