You have a ministry.

God has designed you for something specific that no one else can fulfill and that one thing is your ministry. (Colossians 4:17, 2 Timothy 4:5) All that you enjoy or occupy on earth should ultimately be a tool and a platform to fulfill your purpose or destiny.

What Is Ministry?
Ministry is first & foremost service. It is your participation by faith in the continuing ministry of Christ and you discover it in faithful service.

Christ’s assignment didn’t end at the cross and so, now He fulfills that ministry through His body, the church. Everyone who gets born again and baptized into Christ is given a part of His ministry as an inheritance.

You must make up your mind to pursue God’s purpose for your life with laser focus and obsession because it does not randomly fall into your lap. It is given to you on the platform of responsibility, service and faithfulness in God’s house.

Three evident truths from Scriptures regarding ministry:

⭐ 1. The Call of God:
This is that unrelenting witness in your heart that keeps pulling you to a particular direction no matter the progress you make in other areas of life. No human is born without a call over their lives, but it is only until you’re born again in Christ before you come into the consciousness of that call. (Isaiah 49:1)

⭐ 2. The Foundation
The foundation of every ministry is Jesus. To fulfill your ministry, you must maintain a very close relationship with Christ. No one will last the long haul if they do not give attention to private ministry than public demonstration.

⭐ 3. Reward
The Lord will judge and reward everyone according to their work and not their office (Rev 22:12, 2 John 8)

Two key things to note about the reward:
1️⃣ It is your heart that determines the value of your work.

2️⃣ God will judge your faithfulness to the assignment given. You must be careful to pay attention to what we build, and also how we build.

Pastor Ayo expounded on the reasons why people miss the voice of God, reminding us that God still speaks and it’s up to us to obey.

Reasons why we miss the voice of God
1️⃣ Scriptural Ignorance: You cannot discern or be led by the spirit more than your commitment to the written scriptures because the very voice that wrote the Word is the same voice that will speak to you. For you to overcome spiritual ignorance you must be committed to the Word.

2️⃣ Profanity: In profanity, you despise what God has placed value on. It is living a life void of holiness and taking lightly the things of the spirit. Godliness is the number one key to overcoming profanity and remaining spiritually sensitive.

3️⃣ Hastiness: This is being too quick to make decisions without waiting on God. People miss the voice of the Lord because they are hasty. To overcome hastiness, surrender to the will and timing of God

4️⃣ Procrastination: Delayed obedience is disobedience, and procrastination is rebellion in disguise. It is important to note that divine instructions drain virtue and power the longer you wait. True obedience, however, is always prompt.

5️⃣ Seared conscience: Constantly flouting the directives of the spirit leads to a seared conscience.

There are 3 reasons why people have a seared conscience:
1️⃣ Not promptly obeying the nudges of the Holy Ghost.
2️⃣ A refusal to repent when convicted by the Holy Ghost.
3️⃣ Offense.

Now declare boldly: Henceforth, no more assumptions, no more presumptions; I hear clearly, I obey immediately, and I get results because it’s my blood-bought right to hear the voice of my father.
