MAY 2026 ANOINTING SERVICE - SUNDAY, 10-05-2026
ANCHOR SCRIPTURE(S): GENESIS 1:28
MESSAGE TOPIC: TAKING YOUR PLACE IN DESTINY (1&2)
By: Dr Paul Enenche
SERVICE OBJECTIVE(S):
1. Understanding our destiny from our origin
2. Understanding the way to our destiny
There is a connection between origin and destiny, root and fruit, your nature and your future
Generally, origin is key to destiny; a good understanding of one’s origin is critical to the understanding of one’s destiny
If the origin is known, the destiny can be clear
THINGS TO NOTE ABOUT THE ORIGIN OF MAN:
1. We have our origin in God, and since we know how God is, we have an understanding of how our destiny should be (Gen. 1:27)
2. God made Adam who functioned in the way of human destiny before the fall
WHAT IS THE DESTINY OF MAN?
1. A destiny of spirituality (John 4:24; 2 Cor. 3:17)
We are not meant to struggle to pray, worship, hear God or fellowship with Him; that is our realm
For many of us, our humanity content is greater than our spirituality content and that is why we live the kind of lives we live
It becomes a challenge when your physical desires become more than our spiritual desires
2. A destiny of authority - being in control, command and in charge of all forces under Heaven (Gen. 1:27-28; Ps. 8:3-8; Gen. 9:1-2)
God did not create you to be in the control of any power of witches and wizards
When you don’t know who you are, you will not know how to live;
When you don’t know who you are, everything is acceptable
Influence is maximal from up down not from down up
3. A destiny of supernaturality (Job 5:8-9; 9:10)
This is dwelling in a realm where our operations and results cannot be fully explained by natural laws or reasoning
Let there be some element of supernaturality in our everyday lives
This is dwelling in a realm that is like a wonder and puzzle to many
4. A destiny of supernatural eyesight and insight (Heb. 4:13; 1 Sam. 2:3; Dan. 2:22; Gen. 2:19-20a; 1John 2:20)
We serve the All-knowing God (Heb. 4:13)
5. A destiny of the Blessing of God – a destiny of increase, multiplication and empowerment unto success and progress (Gen. 1:28; 9:1-2; 12:2-3; 26:12-14; 32:24-28)
6. A destiny of heavenly existence (Gen. 1:27; Matt. 6:9-10; Deut. 11:21; Exo. 13:21)
7. A destiny of leadership, influence and excellence – to be at the very top everywhere we are found literally ruling and reigning in life (Gen. 1:28; Deut. 32:13; Isa. 58:14; Matt. 5:14-16; Ps. 8:4-5)
8. A destiny of existence as a wonder and a sign (Ps. 71:7; Isa. 8:18; Matt. 14:28-30; 2 Kings 4:3-4; Ps. 91:11-12)
9. A destiny of Divine knowledge and wisdom (Rom. 11:33; Ps. 139:1-8; Gen. 2:19-23; 1 John 2:20; 1 Kings 3:23-28; Dan. 5:11)
10. A destiny of supernatural supply – excess without stress (Gen. 1:28-29; 2:8; 10-12)
WHAT IS THE WAY INTO OUR DESTINY?
1. Being like God (Gen. 1:27; 2 Cor. 3:18; Matt. 11:28-30; Ps. 17:15; Prov. 27:19)
In your journey of destiny, the closer your nature is to the nature of God, the closer you are to your destiny.
