WHAT IS WATCHFULNESS?
Matthew 26:41: "Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”

Watchfulness is simply to work out your professed salvation with trembling and godly fear.

It means to carefully apply the Word of God you read and the grace of God you receive through prayer into your daily living.

That is when we become fruitful in the Lord. So that the grace we receive in prayer and the strength we receive in the Word of God will not be in vain, we must be watchful how we live our lives, how we talk, how we behave, how we response to people’s provocation, how we abstain from distance appearance of sin, how we dress, cloth we wear, the motive behind our dressing, the motive behind our desire for money, all these must be controlled by the Word of God – this is what watchfulness is all about.

Genuine repentance to salvation in Christ Jesus, total Separation from worldly and sinful things and people and complete Devotion unto God through daily prayer, Bible reading and watchfulness. These are the steps we must daily and carefully take in our journey to heaven.

God bless you as we continue in this glorious journey to heaven. Forward ever, and backward never in Jesus name.
Amen

SHOULD WE PAY TITHES?
Matthew 23:23 “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you pay tithe of mint and anise and cu**in, and have neglected the weightier matters of the law: justice and mercy and faith. These you ought to have done, without leaving the others undone."

Tithe is a must for every child of God, Jesus Christ approve tithe in the New Testament.

We ought to pay tithe and live just and righteous life at the same time.

Paying tithe without living a righteous life leads to judgement of God at the end. Jesus Christ declared "WOE" on the people paying tithe from the money gotten through ungodly means, money from a contract through bribe, money from job you falsify your age to get, money through immoral act and on people who willingly give tithes but refuse to give their lives completely to Him.

Tithes from ungodly means and unsaved people are not acceptable to God. The modern church will tell you that everybody should give tithes - both saved and unsaved, but Jesus says there is something more important you need to first give God - your soul! You will need to first give your life to Jesus Christ, then you must pay your tithe faithfully.

Where and who to pay tithe to depends as the Spirit of God leads you. It is not a must to pay to a church you attend. You can send your tithe to missionary, village church, needy ministers of God or some times to support brethren in urgent need when you don't have other means to help.

God bless you. Amen

ENDURING TEMPTATION
Do do you know what it means to endure temptation? It is the same thing like enduring suffering or problem. When you are in financial needs, as student, as looking for job, as starting up a business, in mission field; you are enduring difficult time for a period of time till things change for better. You don't drop from school, you don't kill yourself or run away from what you are building. The same thing is applicable with enduring temptation. The Bible says, "Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him" James 1:12.

There is a period of time you must endure some temptations, that the temptations will last. The Bible says Jesus Christ was tempted for 40 days, nothing could stop the temptation until its period of 40 days expired. The same is applicable to all children of God in the journey to heaven. Temptations within or without, may not stop until its time expires.

It may be temptation within, sinful suggestions in form of thoughts, lustful suggestion, imaginations to commit sin, internal pressure of sin; it maybe sinful thoughts that repeatedly coming to your mind and the more you pray and resist it, the more it persists. What really matters is not to delete the thoughts, but you keep resisting and you DON'T YIELD. It will die a natural death when its time expires as long you don't give in.

Persisted sinful thoughts, notions and imaginations are temptations within, it is not because you are not saved, but because Satan is after your salvation. You don't need to trouble yourself why such thoughts persist, you only need to keep resisting them in prayer by casting them down from your mind. "Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ" 2 Corinthians 10:5. You can read from verse 3.

It may also be external temptations, from people or situations around, to yield to sinful demands or indulgences. There are some situations where you may need to run away or walk away from the situation causing the temptation. But some times, just need to endure the temptation. That is where enduring temptations comes in. The Bible says, "Blessed is the man who endures temptation"

To endure temptations, either internally or externally, is to be constantly faced with such imaginations, suggestions, pressures, urge, demands or even threats to yield or commit sin but without yielding or giving in for it.

Now, here is the truth, this pressure or temptation for the particular sin maybe coming every day, it may be apportioned for few months, and no matter how much you pray, the thought or pressure may not stop. What you need to be praying for daily is grace and the Blood of Jesus to purify your heart, and as long you don’t give in, it will soon fade away and you overcome. That is the truth about temptation or even addicted sins.

After enduring the temptation, the Bible now says, "..for when he has been approved" It means when we repeatedly refuse, reject the temptation to the end, then we will receive the blessing of the blessedness of enduring temptations.

"Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him" James 1:12.

We receive the grace and strength to endure temptations to the end in Jesus name. Amen

LIVING BY FAITH IN JESUS
There is no better life you can live in this world apart from living by faith. You can live a luxurious life, you can live in a mansion, you can live in wealth, you can live in a beautiful place, but if you are not living by faith in Jesus Christ, you are miserable. Living by faith in Jesus is living with certainty and confidence: with certainty of where you are coming from, where you are and where you are heading to; with confidence of who is in control of your life and what He has for you. Living by faith removes confusion, fear and unrest. Living by faith is ensued with peace of life and unspeakable joy of the Lord.

There is only one group of people who can genuinely and successfully live by faith in Jesus, and God wants you to be part of this group, because every other group is disqualified. Many people desire to live by faith, many claim to live by faith, but only one group actually lives by faith. Here is the group - Romans 1:17, “For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.”

THE JUST SHALL LIVE BY FAITH
Only the just shall live by faith! Only the just are actually and genuinely living by faith! The Bible does not say, “People shall live by faith” It does not say, “Sinner shall live by faith”. How can you claim to live by faith when you are not just or how can you live by faith if you are not just? IMPOSSIBLE!

This is a divine DISCLAIMER from God, that only the just are living by His faith, which He recognizes, other claimants are on their own. Sinning sinners claiming to live by faith is a fake claim, backsliding Christian claiming to be living by faith is fake. Before you can live by faith, you need to be among the just. Who are they?

THE JUST!
“But the just shall live by his faith.” Habakkuk 2:4; Romans 1:17; Galatians 3:11; Hebrews 10:38

Another word for “The just” is the righteous, the redeemed, the regenerated. There is no shortcut or other means by which you can live by faith except by becoming among the just.

Do you notice that the Bible does not say, “Faith will make you just” but it says “the just shall live by faith” Many preachers of today and tuning it upside down by saying if you have faith you will become justified in Christ even when you continue in an unjustified lifestyle. No, this is fake! You can’t continue living an unjustified lifestyle, which is a sinful life, and claim to be just at the same time. You cannot continue in sin and live by faith at the same time.

To become a just person, you need to be justified by Jesus Christ when you repent from your sins, confess and forsake them.

SALVATION: We are saved by faith in Jesus Christ to live a faithful life, not to continue in unfaithfulness. Those who claim salvation in Christ by faith and continue in sin at the same time are living in spiritual confusion and contradiction.

You need to get the following clear:

We are saved by GRACE. “For by grace you have been saved.” Ephesians 2:8

We are saved through FAITH. “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God” Ephesians 2:8

We are saved for good work, RIGHTEOUS WALKING. “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.” Ephesians 2:10

If you know the means by which and through which you are saved, but you don’t know for what purpose you are saved, you will miss everything. That is the problem with preachers who preach once saved is always saved, who say you can continue in sin and still claim faith, and the same problem with Christians who claim they are saved while they continue in worldly lifestyles.

Beloved, do you care for genuine salvation that gives victory over sin? Do you want to live by faith and the rest of your life till you see the Blessed Jesus? Then you need to be justified in Jesus Christ.

WE GOT MARRIED WITH NOTHING BUT FAITH
I have seen people getting with little, but I have not seen couples getting married with nothing as my wife and I. I mean absolutely nothing physically. I had no money, no savings, not even N5000; no job, no business, no skill, and even no certificate, yes! My wife had no job or business.

The only thing I had was my vision. I told my wife then, "I don't have a television, but I have a vision that would provide for my future." And she believed the vision, nothing else. Surprisingly, the vision is not only providing now, but it is even giving a television.

Two days to our marriage, I could only manage to get an abandoned shop in Ojotu Lagos where we would be living. A shop behind a nor-functioning Petrol Station. No electricity, no
kitchen, no toilet except the communal toilet. In fact, the shop had no key to lock the door. The security guys in the compound were smoking different stuffs and I couldn't leave my wife alone if I wanted to go out.

The small shop became a multipurpose room - sitting room, bedroom and kitchen. I will never forget one day after cooking, the heat so much inside the room and no electric fan because no electricity. But suddenly a fresh air blew into the room and we felt refreshed. Then I told my wife, "Let's thank God for this fresh air now, because the time is coming that we will have a good apartment with Air conditionals but we don't need to wait till then. Let's thank God for this fresh air now" And we started praising God.

On Sundays, inside that room, my wife and I would start praise and worship for 2 to 3 hour non stop.

When my wife's brother came to visit us inside the shop we were living, he began to weep because the condition was so bad and not secure. I told my wife then, "Let any of your friends or family come to freely visit so they can witness our beginning and what God would do later." I just had that faith that God was taking us to a better life. By God's grace today, before a visitor could come to our house, we would need to first call the security at the gate to allow the visitor to enter.

IT WAS GOD
We didn't start the journey by ourselves. It was God who led us, and we followed God's leading by faith. Sometimes, one would think that why would God allow His children to go or start marriage in such a terrible situation? But the Bible says, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end." Jeremiah 29:11

The beginning of the journey may not be as expected, Go did not promise an "expected beginning" but an expected end.

As you start by faith in God, your present situations and trials will end with testimony in Jesus name!

DON'T GO TO HELL
Several years ago a book was published titled Beyond Death's Door by Dr Maurice Rawlings. Dr Rawlings, a specialist in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease, resuscitated many people who had been clinically dead. Dr Rawlings, a devout atheist, "considered all religion "hocus-pocus" and death nothing more than a painless extinction". But something happened in 1977 that brought a dramatic change in the life of Dr Rawlings! He was resuscitating a man, terrified and screaming — descending down into the flames of hell:

"Each time he regained heartbeat and respiration, the patient screamed, "I am in hell!" He was terrified and pleaded with me to help him. I was scared to death. . . Then I noticed a genuinely alarmed look on his face. He had a terrified look worse than the expression seen in death! This patient had a grotesque grimace expressing sheer horror! His pupils were dilated, and he was perspiring and trembling — he looked as if his hair was "on end."

Then still another strange thing happened. He said, "Don't you understand? I am in hell. . . Don't let me go back to hell!" . . .the man was serious, and it finally occurred to me that he was indeed in trouble. He was in a panic like I had never seen before." (Maurice Rawlings, Beyond Death's Door,(Thomas Nelson Inc., 1979) p. 3).

Dr Rawlings said, no one, who could have heard his screams and saw the look of terror on his face could doubt for a single minute that he was actually in a place called hell!

Don't Go To Hell!
Yes, hell is real but you don't have to go there anyway if you choosenot to go, if you choose Jesus as your Lord, if you repent and surrender your life to Jesus while you still have the time because no such opportunity after death.

Millions of careless souls are rushing to hell daily, eternity of damnation, don't be among them. Surrender to Jesus now and live your life to please Him before it gets too late.

If you want to surrender your life to Jesus Christ afresh, please click on this link and read on how to be genuinely saved and start new life in Jesus and pray as directed http://www.facebook.com/notes/revelation-of-truth-evangelical-ministries-rtem/how-can-i-be-saved/270674586372252

3 STEPS TO TAKE FOR NEW LIFE IN JESUS
1. Repent – realize and ready to forsake every form of sin and unrighteousness in your life; surrender your sinful life to God and ask Him to forgive and cleanse you.

2. Pray – Right now you need to pray to God from your heart, confess all your sins and surrender all. Tell Jesus Christ to forgive you, cleanse you and save you. You can pray the prayer for the next few minute now, as Jesus is right beside you. 1 John 1:9. “If we confess our’sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

After you have prayed and experienced salvation, then you follow JESUS without looking back.

Mark 8:34, "When He had called the people to Himself, with His disciples also, He said to them, “Whoever desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me."

3. Follow – To follow Jesus Christ is to forsake your old lifestyles and follow Jesus in new life guided by His word and Holy Spirit. You cannot continue in the old sinful lifestyle anymore, you cannot follow the direction of this sinful world anymore, you cannot follow the dictates of Satan anymore, and you will not follow the desire of yourself, only the word and will of Jesus Christ, since He has become the Lord of your life.

To continuously follow Jesus, you need to daily fellowship with Him. It’s not possible to keep following Jesus Christ without fellowship with Him. Christians who fall back into sinful lifestyles are those who fail to keep their daily fellowship with Jesus through Bible reading and prayer. Fellowship here is not about going to church but having daily Bible reading and prayer time with Jesus where we receive grace and strength of God. Without the grace and strength Jesus Christ, you cannot successfully follow Him.

Following Jesus Christ is also to guard against sinful tendencies and temptations, and to do the will of God; but without Jesus empowerment, it not possible to do all these. "....for without Me you can do nothing." John 15:5.

Are you ready for new life in Jesus? Then pray it into your life right now and proceed in the new life, no turning back, no falling down. Forward ever in Jesus name.

WHEN IT GETS HARD TO WAIT ON GOD
Exodus 32:23, "For they said to me, ‘Make us gods that shall go before us; as for this Moses, the man who brought us out of the land of Egypt, we do not know what has become of him.’"

When you can no longer wait on God, it means you are set to go astray. In every area of our lives, it’s of necessity to wait on God until He comes to meet us. There is no other alternative for waiting on the Lord except to go astray. The moment you think God is delaying or getting late to answer your prayer, the devil will bring his alternative to lead you astray.

This happened to the children of Israel in the wilderness, when Moses went to the mountain to receive instructions from God for them, when they could no longer wait for Moses, they made an idol for themselves, and they paid dearly for it. It happened to King Saul likewise. When Samuel made an appointment with him, he waited, and waited, “Then he waited seven days, according to the time set by Samuel. But Samuel did not come to Gilgal; and the people were scattered from him.” 1 Samuel 13:8.

And so when it seemed Samuel was getting too late to come, at the very last minutes, he went astray, “So Saul said, “Bring a burnt offering and peace offerings here to me.” And he offered the burnt offering. 10 Now it happened, as soon as he had finished presenting the burnt offering, that Samuel came; and Saul went out to meet him, that he might greet him.” 1 Samuel 13:9, 10.

He had been waiting for period of time, but at the last minute, he ran out of patience to wait and because of that he lost the kingdom “And Samuel said to Saul, “You have done foolishly. You have not kept the commandment of the LORD your God, which He commanded you. For now the LORD would have established your kingdom over Israel forever. 14 But now your kingdom shall not continue.” 1 Samuel 13:13, 14.

When it gets too hard for you to wait on God, it means the time is getting very close for your long awaited blessing to come through, and for you God’s visitation; but at that very moment, Satan will put more pressure on you to go astray so as to make you miss all your multiplied blessings, and then sin against God.

At the very point when the long awaited blessing is almost getting to you, Satan will raise people, friends, family and strangers to push you astray; Satan will make situation tougher as if you can no longer bear it. But if you rest on God, if you go back to Him, and tell Him to renew your strength, then He will see you through.

Many people are promised blessings by God, but only few who endured till the end eventually get the blessings. Do you wonder why we hear lots of great promises of God but very few fulfillment, even among the children of God? It is not because God is unfaithful, but it is just because people cannot faithfully wait on God till their change comes.

Do you also wonder why only very few people enjoy their marriages? It is because of impatience to wait on God for the right partners from God. Do you wonder why this generation lacks many Isaac and Samuel? It is because our married brethren cannot wait on God to have their children, and so they go astray.

When we are tired or discouraged of waiting on God, and we allow the alternative of Satan to lead us astray, it will only land us in sin and severe lost of God’s blessings, God’s promises, and lost of our soul in eternal doom.

Beloved, what have you been waiting on God for? Are you tired or discouraged or you are considering the sinful and worldly suggestions from people or from your mind? Will you allow Satan to lead you astray after all your waiting? Are you going to become another King Saul of this generation or you are going to wait on God like Job and David? Please, do not allow Satan to discourage you as if God has forgotten you.

God is working for your best, and He makes everything beautiful in its time, and you know that God is never late, and His time is the best, yes you know that before, don’t you? Do you know that he that laughs last laughs best? If you wait on God, you will win at last and great will be the celebration of your victory and blessings. Be strong!

“If a man dies, shall he live again? All the days of my hard service I will wait, Till my change comes.” Job 14:14

“Wait on the Lord; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the Lord!” Psalm 27:14

“Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him; Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, Because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass.” Psalm 37:7

GOD BLESS YOU

THE FALSE PROPHETS

Matthew 24: 4 And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you. 5 For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many.”

Why do we need to continuously lay emphasis and warn against the false gospel preachers? Because this is so important that Jesus mentioned it first and foremost among the list of the signs of the end time.

Many are ignorant of this truth and so many are being deceived by the false ministers’ prophetic declaration, prosperity preaching, and pompous lifestyle.

When the Bible talks about end time false prophets, does it means they will come in a strange, dirty way? No, the end time false prophets would come in a friendly and lovely way.

These false prophets are the prioritized prosperity preachers everywhere, they are the motivational speakers, the miracle prioritized preachers, the problematic prayer ministers, the rich ministers, the luxurious preachers, and the money making ministers.

As many Jews were waiting for the coming of Elijah before the earthly ministration of Jesus Christ, they didn't believe John the Baptist was the Elijah to come as the forerunner, they are still waiting till today, and so also as Jesus predicted many signs which would happen before His second coming, false prophets are one of the major signs of His imminent coming.

These false prophets are already everywhere now, and if you care for the truth, they are the prosperity preachers everywhere, they are the motivational speakers, the miracle prioritized preachers, the problematic prayer ministers, the rich ministers, the luxurious preachers, and the money making ministers everywhere today.

These false preachers are feeding people with spiritually poisonous messages by capitalizing on your indulgence; they know what you want and so they major on those things that will attract you just as candy attracts kids but not well for their health. Apostle Peter said, “By covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words” 2 Peter 2:3.

Be warned, be watchful and be prepared for the Lord!

BEWARE OF DISCOURAGEMENT!
"...lest you become weary and discouraged in your souls." Hebrews 12:3

A man was shown vision about the weapons of Satan, and he saw a particular weapon that has been over-used; he asked what was special about the weapon and also its name, and he was told the weapon was discouragement, that when other weapons against Christians fail, discouragement hardly fails.

If you have surrendered your life to Jesus Christ and determined to serve Him forever and you are getting involved in the work of God to turn others to righteousness in Jesus, Satan will try to discourage you in order to destroy you. Discouragement is a destructive weapon of Satan that deflates spiritual strength and zeal, and makes a Christian becomes spiritually dry.

When life gets tough and situations turn worst; as you pray, search your life and put faith in action, yet things do not get better. Then you begin to ask why? why will God allow this to happen to you? Why?

Disturbed But Not Discouraged
Since Christian life is a narrow way, and even life generally is ups and downs, as a child of God, you can be disturbed but you should not allow discouragement. When you are disturbed by anything, take it to God in prayer and simply trust Him; it's hard but that is the only means to be happy in Jesus; and not by siting in the dangerous valley of discouragement. Believers in the Bible were disturbed: Moses, Elijah, Jeremiah and others.

They were disturbed at one point or the other, but instead of being discouraged, they turned to God with their disturbing hearts. At a point, John the baptist was seriously disturbed, you know what he did? He didn't depart from Jesus but he turned to Jesus with his disturbing mind. Jesus was disturbed at a point on His way to the Cross but He poured His disturbing mind to God, and He is now in heaven praying for us, because He has been through such difficult situations we are going through now

When you are disturbed, Satan will want you to be discouraged, to stop praying so you can be his prey; to stop reading the Word of God so you can be weak; he will want you to be weary of working for God so that you can wither away. Satan will want to dissuade you from trusting God and living a righteous life so that he can destroy your destiny.

When you find it hard to pray, to read Bible, or to do God's work because of situation around, then discouragement is setting in, you should beware.

Discouragement is a shadow of spiritual destruction, it leads to weakness, weariness and compromising into sin, since "God doesn't care" so to say, but that is satanic deception.

We should not allow present situations to discourage us from serving and trusting God, no matter how hard, or who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

We should discuss our disturbing situations with God and trust Him that He is working everything for our good at the end, we should not be discouraged into Satan's hands.

James 5:10, 11
"My brethren, take the prophets, who spoke in the name of the Lord, as an example of suffering and patience. Indeed we count them blessed who endure. You have heard of the perseverance of Job and seen the end intended by the Lord—that the Lord is very compassionate and merciful."

GENUINE CONFESSION FOR FORGIVENESS & GRACE
As a sinner or saint, the purpose of confessing is to receive mercy; mercy for forgiveness, mercy for grace to overcome the confessed sins.

Without confession your sin cannot be forgiven and you can’t have a cleansed heart with new Spirit to overcome sins as the Bible says,” If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”1 John 1:9.

So, confession of sin gives you Forgiveness of sin & Grace over sin.

But are you surprised why many people are making several confessions of sins and yet they still have guilt of those sins, or why they still go back into such sins?

Why their salvation is not certain as they keep going back into their sins?

It’s simply because they didn’t make genuine confession.

Genuine confession is not just using the name of the Jesus, it's not answering alter call and so on. Here are 3 attributes that guarantee genuine confession for forgiveness and grace:

(1) First Repent Before You Confess. There are many fake confessions, but if you sincerely want to make acceptable confession, you must first repent. No need for you to confess if there is no repentance in you. Repentance is thoughtful realization of your sins and determination to forsake them. If you confess without readiness to forsake the sins you confess, you are simply wasting your time, and the sins will soon get you down. To repent is not to be sorry for your sins, if you are sorry without readiness to forsake all, you will only have a sorry case.

Proverbs 28:13, " He who covers his sins will not prosper, But whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy."

(2) No Excuse, No difference. If truly you need God’s mercy to pardon your sins and give you grace to overcome them, then you need to face it by yourself. Don’t give excuse of any sin because everybody is doing it - in your church (even your pastors, parents or partners), in your family, in your place of work, etc. Don’t says, “Does that means everybody doing it will go to hell fire?” Yes, everybody can go to hell and God will still be righteous. Jesus said instead of you to be thinking how many will be saved, YOU should just strive and focus on your own salvation. Don’t excuse sin because of its popularity or because it persists- face it. Sin is sin, either small or great, there is no difference, you just have to be sincere and confess it.

Psalm 51:3 For I acknowledge my transgressions, And my sin is always before me. 4 Against You, You only, have I sinned, And done this evil in Your sight.

(3) No Cover-Up! There are some sins, which sometimes you may need to confess to one or two people after you have confessed to God. It may be to be your pastors, your parents or your partners. Don’t cover up and say, “I have confessed to God, He is the One I sinned against.”

Confessing to other shows you are sincere and humble, or how sure are you that you would have confessed to God if God were physically present?

You may not receive God’s mercy if you don’t confess to one another as the case may be; Bible says it, not me. James 5:16 “Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed.”

You need the guidance of the Holy Spirit and godly counsel on what to confess to one another, but as the Spirit of God put in your heart, meditate about it.
