DAVID AND GOD'S MERCY
Proverbs 28:13, "He who covers his sins will not prosper, But whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy."

Some people do say that David committed sins, but God forgave him because he knew how to praise God very well. That is a serious error and an un-biblical conclusion.

Such a conclusion can mislead people, and it's misleading many people. Sacrifice of praise to God can not cover your sins. In fact, David himself said that any sacrifice in sin is useless to God.

"For You do not desire sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You do not delight in burnt offering.
The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit,
A broken and a contrite heart—
These, O God, You will not despise......Then You shall be pleased with the sacrifices of righteousness,
With burnt offering and whole burnt offering;
Then they shall offer bulls on Your altar." Psalm 51:16, 17, 19.

David received the mercies of God because he confessed and forsook his sins. Saul confessed his sin of wickedness at different times when he was pursuing David, but he did not stop pursuing David. But David confessed his sin of adultery and murder, and he never continued in the sins again. Have you read it anywhere in the Bible that David committed adultery after he had confessed to God? Never! Praise and worship do not cover sin, as many preachers are saying today.

Thanksgiving and sacrificial givings can not get you the mercies of God, as many modern preachers are claiming today. The only two things that guarantee God's mercies are confession of sin and forsaking the sin, that is, to discontinue in the sin. Proverbs 28:13, "He who covers his sins will not prosper, But whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy."

Do you need the mercy of God like David? Do you want to be a precious child of God, a peculiar servant of God as David was? All you need is to humble yourself, open up, confess, and discontinue in such sin.

GRACE + WORK IN CHRISTIAN LIFE
Titus 2:11, 12, “For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, 12 teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age.”

The effect of grace in Christian life is not a license to live a careless Christian life or falling and rising in sin, thinking the grace of God is always available. What the grace of God does in our Christian life is to empower and enable us to overcome sin and temptation, to work righteousness, self-denying, godly life, and also to be fruitful in the work of God.

Some erroneous pastors and misled Christians believe that grace is meant to enjoy with a careless living, that, “we are in the era of grace so you can live as you like, dress as you like and the grace of God covers you” They say, “As long you have confessed Jesus as your Savior, you have unlimited grace to continue in sin, that your work of righteousness is like a filthy rag, so no need of stressing yourself to work righteousness, all you need is grace and grace alone.” Such a teaching like this is not only erroneous but a self-destructive.

In the first instance, if you believe in grace, what is the purpose of grace? If you know the need for something but you don’t know the purpose of it, then it will become in vain for you or even cause you problem. And that is what is happening to many Christians today, receiving the grace of God in vain, because grace alone is useless, grace without working to make use of it is in vain.

The purpose of grace is to make use of it to do above human power, by the grace of God. The grace of God helps us to overcome temptation, to overcome sin, that is to discontinue in sin, not to continue in sin, because grace does not work in sin but work against sin, and we cannot continue in both together.

We can either, continue in sin and perish or receive the grace, make use of it by adding watchfulness, vigilance, prayerfulness and meditation in God’s word to live above sin. We cannot not continue in sin, when we knowing fully well we are sinning against God, and expect the grace of God to abound in our lives.

We have got to choose one – grace to discontinue living in sin or living in sin to discontinue grace, but both cannot continue together, says the Bible. Romans 6:1, 2, “What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? Certainly not!”

We must make use of the grace of God now by surrendering our lives to Him, confessing and forsaking our sins, and in our Christian lives by living to overcome sin and temptation by the grace of God and also being fruitful in the work of God, in evangelism and edification. May the grace of God never be in vain in our lives in Jesus name.

“Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear.” Hebrews 12:28.

WHERE IS YOUR FACE LORD?
Luke 8:25, “But He said to them, “Where is your faith?”

When you are in the middle of storms of life, troubles and difficulties of life, and you begin to ask, “God where is Your face?” You know we are used to that question, “God where is Your face?”

So if you are in troubles of life now, you are in the middle of windstorms now, you can’t go back and you can’t go forward, and you are in serious jeopardy, and you look up and say, “God, where is Your face?” I am glad to tell you that God has a question for you too. The disciples questioned Jesus also, “Lord, we are perishing. Lord don’t you care?” And you, “Lord, where is Your face?” And you know what Jesus asked the disciples? He is asking you the same thing, in Luke 8:25, “But He said to them, “Where is your faith?” So when you ask God in the windstorms of life, “God, where is Your face?” God is asking you right away, right now, “Son, daughter, where is your faith”

Where is your faith?

Face that storms in your life with faith in Christ not with fear of crying.

I don't know the type of storm you are in now, I don't know how long the storm will last and I don't know how it will end, but one thing I certainly know that can never be unknown, from Genesis to Revelation, till the world will end, is that you can never and you will never go with the storm, you will overcome the storm and the storm will soon end.

And you ask me how do I know? I know because you are a child of God and God is with you. Storm never overcome a child of God, that for sure.

“Mark the blameless man, and observe the upright; For the future of that man is peace.” Psalm 37:37.

The Bible also says, “Many are the afflictions of the righteous,
But the LORD delivers him out of them all.” Psalm 34:19.

SECRET OF DELIVERANCE
If we should ask, why do we have children of God who are still under the bo***ge of satanic attack? The simple answer is because such believers lack understanding. Many children of God pray, fast, go to mountain, go for deliverance, yet still under the torment of Satan; many exercise strong faith, yet nothing happens.

All these happen as a result of ignorance. Deliverance from sickness or satanic attack does not come through faith in your prayer, through faith in a man or woman of God or through faith in a particular church or mountain. Deliverance from sickness and satanic attacks comes only through faith in the name of Jesus Christ. It is not the prayer you pray that will put God’s power in action, it is not a man of God that will put God’s power in action, but it is name of Jesus Christ that put God’s power into action. Here is the word of God:

“Then Peter said, “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.” 7 And he took him by the right hand and lifted him up, and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. 8 So he, leaping up, stood and walked and entered the temple with them—walking, leaping, and praising God” Acts 3:6-8

After the healing of the cripple man, so many people rallied round Peter and John, seeing them as super human being or super holy men, or extraordinary men; but Peter quickly cleared the air and told them the secret of God's power in action, the secret of real deliverance, " So when Peter saw it, he responded to the people: “Men of Israel, why do you marvel at this? Or why look so intently at us, as though by our own power or godliness we had made this man walk? Acts 3:12.

Deliverance does not come by calling God of Babalola, God of Adeboye, and so on, by calling such, you are putting part of your faith in such men. Even Apostle Peter said it was not by his own power.

Deliverance or God's power does not come by faith in our prayer or in our work of godliness even though we are living godly.

What is the secret of deliverance? What is the secret of manifestation of God's power? Here is what Peter said, "And His name, through faith in His name, has made this man strong, whom you see and know. Yes, the faith which comes through Him has given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all." Acts 3:16

Two Things:
1, The name of Jesus Christ.
2, Faith in the name of Jesus Christ.

You can call the name of Jesus Christ without having faith in His name, but you cannot have faith in His name without calling on His name. Many times we call on or scream the name of Jesus Christ out of fear not out of faith, that is the reason no deliverance follows.

How do we know if we have faith in the name of Jesus Christ when we pray? Or how do we know that Peter actually had faith in the name of Jesus that he called? Simple, it's by action that follows after calling the name of Jesus Christ.

Let's look at Peter for example, what did he do after he called on the name of Jesus Christ when he prayed for the cripple man? He took a step of faith, action that goes in line with his faith. "And he took him by the right hand and lifted him up, and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength." Acts 3:7.

What if Peter had fear that if lift him by hand and at last he didn't walk? Peter could be afraid and said, "So that means I will be the one to be holding him about for life, since I'm the one who find trouble."

You know what? Goya olive oil called anointing oil can't help you, mantle, holy water, candle,sowing seed, marathon fasting and prayer, mountains, special men of God with special anointing can't deliver you; what you need is the name of Jesus Christ and faith in the name. But before you can use the two you must first be saved from your sins through the same name; by total repentance and forsaking your sins. Yes, Peter told them too, he said, "Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord." Acts 3:19.

Before you can be delivered from the bo***ge of curses, witches and wizards, enemies, evil forces and Satan, you must first be delivered from sin. Today is the day of your salvation

G R A C E !
"What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? 2 Certainly not!" Romans 6:1, 2.

The grace which Jesus Christ brought to us is not a license to continue in sin, the gospel of grace is not a privilege to continue confessing sin and committing sin. And so what is grace then?

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ is the supernatural strength to resist Satan, to reject sinful desire from ourselves and refuse sinful demand from people. You cannot be a heavenly recognized Christian and continue in sin at the same time; you cannot have the grace of God upon your life and continue in sin at the same time, God forbid!

What makes the difference between a sinner and saint is the grace of God; both sinner and saint are human beings, and both are daily exposed to sin, but grace of God empowers the saved to deny every sinful demands and to do the will of God.

We receive the grace of God through genuine repentance of our sins and confession to accept Jesus Christ as our Lord. If somebody claims to be a Christian or a minister of God and continues in sin, it means he has not experienced the grace of God. So, have you received the grace of God to live above sin since you have been a Christian? Are you living daily by the grace of God to live godly life or you are living on the ground of modern and misled preachers that you have the grace to keep committing sin and confessing and continue in the same sin?

The grace of God does not cover sin, but it empowers us to deny sins and serve God in holiness and righteousness. We should plead for God's grace by repentance, and we should keep praying for God's grace every day to overcome every sin.

DANGER OF UNDONE RESTITUTION
“This being so, I myself always strive to have a conscience without offense toward God and men.” Acts 24:16.

After you are genuinely saved, there may be some wrongs of the past that need to be corrected in your present new life in Jesus, that is what is called restitution. Restitution is to have a conscience free of offense toward our fellow human beings after we become born again.

We must strive to have a conscience without offense not only towards God but towards men, and that happens when we do restitution.

Restitution includes restoring things you wrongly acquired before you came to Jesus, revealing lies and deceptions you involved with before you gave your life to Jesus and reconciling with people you offended, and also forgiving, with all your hearts, people who offended you, no matter how terrible. Lack of forgiveness from the heart is a major thing that will hinder many Christians and ministers of God from making the rapture or from making heaven. Matthew 6:14, 15. ““For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.”

Do you know that after you are saved and spirit filled, if you ignore to do the right and necessary restitution you will still miss the rapture and go to hell? The fake certificate you are using, the falsified age you are using, the stolen items you are keeping after you are saved, and the stolen money and properties in your possessions even after you claimed to be saved will not allow you to make heaven.

When I see people who say there is no need for restitution after salvation in Christ, that God has forgiven them all, my simple question is which one did God forgive you? The sins you committed then or now? When you used false age before you were saved and God forgave you and now you are still using the false age, filling it on the forms as fresh lie, so which one has God forgiven you? You lied to your spouse, to your boss, to your school before you gave your life to Jesus, now instead of you to open up, you are still using lies to cover up the old lies, and you said God has forgiven you? So which one? The lies you told in the past time of your ignorance or the lies you are willingly and knowingly telling now? Look, if your church is deceiving you, you should not be deceived. Any church that is not repeatedly teaching and encouraging their members to do restitution is a mortuary not a sanctuary. You cannot make the rapture; you cannot make heaven in the future if you do not open up of your past right in your present now.

You need to open up the past secrets to the person you want to marry, to your wife, your husband, your parents, your pastor, your boss as in the case that has to do with your work, also to your school, even to the government authority. Since God has forgiven you, you need not to keep hiding it again.

WHY MANY CHRISTIANS FALL BACK INTO SINFUL HABITS
Why many Christians still fall back into ma********on, po*******hy, other sexual immoralities or sinful activities is because they have not totally made up their mind not to go to hell fire.

The day you make up your mind that you are not going back to sin, that you are not going back to Satan’s bo***ge and that you are not going to end your journey in hell fire, you will not allow anything to bring you back into such sins again. Addicted sins need addicted determination to ever follow Jesus for life!

Let me read a Bible verse to you from the book of Hebrews 12:4, “You have not yet resisted to bloodshed, striving against sin.” Let me read it again, “You have not yet resisted to bloodshed, striving against sin. “That is it.

That is the reason you keep falling back into the sin, because you have not yet resisted the temptation, the devil, the nature of that sin into bloodshed. What does that mean? It means if you know and see that anyone who becomes ma********on or po*******hy will fall down and die immediately, will you want to still do it and die instantly? You will not! You will not want to die because of 5 minutes’ dirty enjoyment. That is how you must strive against sin and the grace of the Lord will sustain you in Jesus name.

What You Need Now!
So what do you need now? You make a total dedication of your life to Jesus by repenting from all your sins, confessing and forsaking them, all without any reservation.

Then you make a total devotion unto God. Devote all your life to Him in reading, meditating, studying and obeying His Word. Occupy your heart with the Word of God and pray without seasoning, pray for purification, pray for sanctification, pray for God’s grace and strength to overcome daily. Then you watch, watch against sinful tendencies, resist the thoughts, the notions, the feelings, the pleasure and disconnect yourself from anything, anywhere or anybody that will bring you back to the old lifestyles.

NOW IT IS TIME TO PRAY, BEFORE I PRAY WITH YOU, I WANT YOU TO REPENT FROM ALL YOUR SINS, READY TO FORSAKE ALL AND SAY LORD JESUS, I COME BEFORE YOU, I AM SORRY FOR SINNING AGAINST YOU, PLEASE FORGIVE ALL MY SINS, CLEANSE ME WITH YOUR PRECIOUS BLOOD, GIVE ME A NEW HEART AND A NEW SPIRIT IN JESUS NAME! LET ME PRAY FOR YOU, AS YOU HAVE SURRENDERED YOUR LIFE TO JESUS AND CONFESSED HIM AS YOUR LORD, RECEIVE HIS TOUCH, YOU ARE DELIVERED FROM EVERY BO***GE OF THE DEVIL, YOU ARE SET FREE IN JESUS NAME! FROM HENCEFORTH, LET NO ONE TROUBLE YOU FOR YOU BEAR THE MARK OF THE BLOOD OF JESUS IN YOUR LIFE. IT IS WELL WITH YOUR SPIRIT, SOUL AND BODY IN JESUS NAME! AMEN.
