We declare this scripture over Nigeria
Habakkuk 3:17-18 NLT
[17] Even though the fig trees have no blossoms, and there are no grapes on the vines; even though the olive crop fails, and the fields lie empty and barren; even though the flocks die in the fields, and the cattle barns are empty, [18] yet I will rejoice in the Lord! I will be joyful in the God of my salvation!

📖 BIBLE READING HIGHLIGHTS

Our Bible reading review today was a summary of our readings from last week journeying through Jeremiah, 2 Kings, 2 Chronicles, Psalms, and Habakkuk

The readings took us through seasons of warning, judgment, uncertainty, prayer, and hope. Yet, one powerful truth stood out: **God remains faithful and sovereign, even when circumstances are difficult.**

✨ LIFE APPLICATION LESSONS

🔹 Obey God even when it is difficult. Jeremiah’s message reminds us that faithfulness to God is more important than following the crowd.

🔹 God takes disobedience seriously. The fall of Jerusalem shows us that persistent rebellion has consequences. We should never take God’s instructions lightly.

🔹 Take your questions and struggles to God. Habakkuk teaches us that we can honestly bring our concerns to God while still choosing to trust Him.

🔹 God is working even when we cannot see it. Difficult seasons do not mean that God has abandoned us. His purposes remain sure.

🔹 Trust God’s power and sovereignty. When everything around us seems uncertain, our confidence must remain in the One who is greater than our circumstances.

🙌 This week, let us choose obedience over compromise, faith over fear, prayer over worry, and trust over uncertainty.

May we walk each day conscious of **the exceeding greatness of the Father’s power** working in and through us!

We started today with weekly Bible reading reflections for last week

Last week, God’s Word took us on a journey through repentance, restoration, obedience, judgment, and the call to return to God.

From 2 Chronicles 32–35, we see that God is able to deliver His people even in the face of overwhelming opposition. The story of Josiah reminds us that genuine revival begins when we rediscover God’s Word, humble ourselves, and choose obedience.

Nahum reminds us that God is just. Evil may appear to prosper for a season, but God sees, God judges, and God ultimately delivers His people.

In Zephaniah, we hear a powerful call to seek the Lord, humble ourselves, and turn away from sin. God's judgment is real, but so is His promise of restoration for those who return to Him.

Then Jeremiah 1–9 brings the message closer to home: God calls His people to return to Him wholeheartedly. Religious activity without obedience cannot replace a surrendered heart. God desires truth, justice, righteousness, and genuine relationship with Him.

✨ This week’s takeaway:
God is calling us beyond religion into genuine repentance, wholehearted obedience, and daily dependence on Him
The question is not simply, “Am I reading the Word?”
It is: “Is the Word changing me?”

📖 Read. Reflect. Repent. Obey. Return.

May God give us hearts that hear His Word and lives that respond to it.

Have an insightful time going through the Scriptures. Blessings! ❤️
