FIS Day 2 Summary with Pst. Deolu Akinyemi
Use your free time wisely. If you have 5 hours free, if you use at least 1 hour out of that daily, it'll compound. After a long time, you won't be the same person you were before. My youth, age, and young self is a gift. You're too young to not invest in yourself. Even if you're old, there's still time to invest in yourself
Ask yourself, what will help you succeed in the work you're doing? In the career you're pursuing? If a billionaire was your father, you won't be behaving the way you're behaving. Don't think small when God is your father.
Build how you'll use time, money, be useful, gain skills, add value, serve, build how you'll be efficient with money, finish what you start, build w rep that allows people to trust you, watch how you treat people, especially those you see as "ordinary" e. g drummer, the cleaner, receptionist, etc.
Empty people grow faster. Heaven fills what is hollow, not what is full. Not who is proud. Pride blocks increase. Sometimes we need to be willing to empty our cup, to gain new fresh water. Know that what is ahead of you is more than where you are right now.
Understand that failure is the first attempt in winning and learning.
How to Grow your Vessel
1. Read daily, look for things that would make inputs in your life
2. Journal. Jot, document, it allows you to internalize your thoughts and days
3. Mentorship.
4. Feedback. Take feedback from your experiences, from people
5. Silence. Don't be scared to ask. There's something you're looking for that someone else would have the answer to. And vice versa.
