2 Samuel 5: 2, Genesis 18:19

A shepherd is one responsible for the well-being of the sheep. He is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the sheep.

Biblically, he is recognized as a leader over a people, chosen by God ( 2 Samuel 5:2). God himself is the shepherd (Isaiah 40:11).

A Shepherd chosen by God has a great responsibility to ensure that the sheep is cared for and well-directed.

The apparel of the bishop all have deep symbolic meaning attached to them with the bishop’s staff symbolising him as the shepherd of the church.

Who is to be strong and courageous?
** One who is afraid
** One who is weak

Fear is False Evidence Appearing Real. Muster the courage and face your fear. That thing that is appearing in front of you is not real, confront it and it will disappear. Some battle of your life, if not faced will consume you – be strong and courageous.

What do you need to do?
Make sure you do not fall in times of adversary (Proverbs 24:10). The strength required to pull through God will restore your strength in Jesus' name.

There is no greater purpose to live for than God's purpose in your life. When you live out God's purpose, He will ensure that your location does not lack allocation.

Let God lead you; let God fulfil His purpose in your life.

Who and what can God use to fulfil His purpose in your life?

1) God can use an animal to fulfil his purpose in your life - Numbers 22:21-34

Do not allow your personal or physical experience to determine how you follow your God.

2) God can use any human to fulfil His purpose. Joshua 2:1, the case of Rahab, the harlot.

3) Luke 7:37: God can use any means to fulfil his purpose in man's life.

Allow God to fulfil His purpose in your life; don't stand in His way.

Distraction is anything that prevents you from concentrating. It diverts your attention from your focus. As Christians, distraction is anything that pulls our attention from God.

Distraction does a lot of things to us:
1. Distraction takes your attention away from your goal, purpose, etc
2. Distraction hinders your progress
3. Distraction hinders your productivity
4. Distraction ruins relationships
5. Distraction causes failures.

Steadfastness in our career and business is dutifully unwavering in our means of livelihood. Faithfulness is consistent in your pursuit of success and being faithful to your employers, business partners, etc.

Practical steps in achieving success in your career
1. You must be diligent in knowing your job, course of study, and the core of your business. Discipline yourself to acquire as much knowledge about your job to succeed. Maximise your potential to excel in your career. Prov. 22:29, 2 Tim. 2:15, 20-21

2. Be willing and ready to pay the high cost of success. It takes sacrifice to achieve success, and nothing good comes easily.
