WHY YOU MUST NOT BE WEAK SPIRITUALLY

On a quick note

Weakness is a luxury you should not afford. To be weak is to be oppressed.

To be weak is to be trampled upon.

To be weak is to suffer at the mercy of the wicked.

They try everything within their power to keep you from rising to spiritual strength.

Ephesians 6:10. Admonished us to be strong IN THE LORD. And in the power of His Might.

What does this mean?

1. Your Being in the Lord is not enough, you must be strong in Him.

No doubt, there are a lot of believers who are weak spiritually. That's the reason you are asked to be strong in the Lord.

The Devil could not stop you from getting Saved, but he will do everything to keep you weak.

As you are reading this right now, in the Name of Jesus Christ: “receive strength to be strong spiritually in Him.”

2. Life In This world, is a survivor of the fittest.

In life, the strong will always overcome the weak. You must not be weak!

Your enemies loves it when you are weak. That's why they keep sponsoring spiritual weaknesses against you.

Brother and sister, BE STRONG IN THE LORD!

3. To Stop You from fulfilling your destiny.

It takes spiritual strength to manifest and to fulfill visions and dream.

HOW TO BE STRONG IN THE LORD.

A lot of believers wants to be strong spiritually, but don't just know how to get there.

1. Daily Fellowship In The Word.

The farther you are from the word of God, the weaker you become spiritually.

Busyness is weakness in disguise. Why you are too busy to spend time in the word of God: you become weak.

2. Prayer Draws You Closer God In Your Mind.

Spending time with the Lord in prayers gives you the sense of closeness.

Not just praying alone personally, but corporately.

3. Fasting Regularly.

Fasting and prayers causes your spirit man to rise, and your soul brought under subjection to your spirit-will.

4. Knowing The Lord, And Who You Are In Him.

Daniel 11:32 (NLT) He will flatter and win over those who have violated the covenant. But the people who know their God will be strong and will resist him.

Your knowledge of God is a strength booster. Knowing who you are in him helps you to fight till you will.

THE SAFEST PLACE TO BE RIGHT NOW:

Is Christ!

The world is all messed up right now, fear and panic is taken hold on men.

The fear of wars, fear of natural disaster, terrorism and killing are happening everywhere.

Economic hardship is taking it's toll on humanity around the world. The question is, where will you get deliverance from in all these?

It's only in Christ you will be saved.

In John 16:33. Jesus Christ said,
“These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”

There's a place called “CHRIST.” This is where your safety and Salvation is guaranteed: spiritually, mentally and emotionally.

Are you caught up in fear and anxiety in life as a result of what's happening around you?

I want you to know Jesus CARES.

All you need do is to call on Him to help you (Romans 10:13)(John 6:37).

This is the good news I brought to you today.

It doesn't matter if you are being harassed by the powers of darkness; Jesus Christ is the answer to it.

1 Peter 5:7 casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.

If you want His peace and assurance right now, just say these words:

“Dear heavenly Father, I come to You today to call on Your Name, Lord; deliver me and save me from all my fear and terror.

Lord Jesus, come into my heart and life, I need Your peace and joy in me. Save my soul and fill me with Your Holy Spirit. In Jesus Name I pray. Amen.

UNDERSTANDING THE SOUL (part 4)

In our Study this morning, we are going to continue from where we left off last week.

PRAISE THE LORD!

Welcome To Church everyone.

Out Text Is Taken From The Book Of: Psalm 42:6 which says,

“O my God, my soul is cast down within me;
Therefore I will remember You from the land of the Jordan,
And from the heights of Hermon,
From the Hill Mizar.”

Before we proceed, let's remind ourselves what the soul is:

1. The soul is the sea of your consciousness.

2. The soul is your personality.

COMPONENTS OF THE SOUL

(A). MIND - your thoughts and reasoning.

(B). WILL - decisions and choices.

(C). EMOTIONS - feelings and desires.

When you understand the soul and how it functions, it becomes easy for you to navigate through situations and challenges that will come your way in life.

The major battles of life are the battles of the soul. The soul is where you make decisions and also term your wants.

Let's look at

5 THINGS THAT HAPPENS IN THE SOUL

1. The Soul Can Be Wounded, And It Can Be Heal Also (Psalm 41:4).
A lot of people are carrying wounds in their soul right now.

They have been wounded, and need healing right. Thank God, the soul can be heal; only if they will allow the Lord to heal them.

2. The Soul Can Be Tormented (Job 19:2).
This one is common, a lot of folks are being tormented by demonic spirits in their soul without knowing. Including believers in Christ Jesus.

A born again child of God in Christ cannot be possessed, but can be demonized (in the soul).

3. Bitterness Is A Thing Of The soul (Job 7:11).
When you are bittered and angry, that is not your spirit man; but your soul in operation.

4. Fear Is A Thing Of The Soul (Psalm 11:1).
The regenerated spirit of man does not fear. Fear is the product of reasoning and dealings.

5. The Soul Can Be Troubled And Anxious ( Psalm 6:3).
When you walk and live with the human senses, it's impossible not to be anxious.

Because, when challenges shows up; your soul through your mind tells you this is too big to be solved.

Human being usually get worry over anything they see too big for them to handle.

In conclusion, live by the Spirit; and your soul will align with your human spirit: Romans 8:13

“For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.”

UNDERSTANDING THE SOUL (part 3)

Welcome To Church, And Happy Easter Sunday To You All. Amen!

In our Study today, we are going to continue in the subject of the soul.

OUR TEXT IS Psalms 42:11, which says:

“Why are you cast down, O my soul?
And why are you disquieted within me?
Hope in God;
For I shall yet praise Him,
The help of my countenance and my God.”

PRAISE THE LORD!

First of all, from our past studies, we were made to understand that
man is a tripartite being: spirit, soul, and body (1 Thessalonians 5:23).

Secondly, we were told that the soul is the seat of conscious. The soul is your personality.

WHAT THE SOUL IS MADE-UP OF?

1. Mind – thoughts and reasoning.

2. Will – decisions and choices.

3. Emotions – feelings and desires

So, from the place where we red from in our text; we saw three things,

(A). The Psalmist was speaking to his own soul about discouragement:

“Why are you cast down, O my soul?”

That means, discouragement is a thing of the soul; not of the spirit.

(B). And why are you disquieted within me?

Disquietness means: lack of been quiet; absence of tranquility in body or mind.

Is also synonyms with: anxiety, disturbance, restlessness, and uneasiness.

It means to make (someone or something) worried or anxious.

When you feel restless, anxious, and uneasy: it means your soul is affected.

All these happen in the soul.

(C). Is Hope. The third thing the Psalmist said was:

“Hope in God; For I shall yet praise Him,”

When your soul is renewed, your hope comes alive.

Hopelessness is a sign of a soul that is cast down.

KEY TRUTH TO REMEMBER ABOUT THE SOUL

1. The soul is the battleground of life.

2. Whatever controls your soul, ultimately influences your destiny.

HOW TO BRING THE SOUL UNDER SUBJECTION TO YOUR SPIRIT:

1. Renewal Of The Mind. Romans 12:2.
You must feed the soul with God's word daily (Matthew 4:4).

2. Regular Fasting And Prayer. Psalms 35:14, 109:24.

Fasting from time to time helps to align your soul with your spirit.

Fasting and prayer also helps to weakens the dominance of the soul.

3. Singing Worship.

Worship helps to calm the agitation of the soul. When you worship, the soul is refreshed because of the Anointing in the worship.

In conclusion, don't let your soul rule your spirit, rather; let your spirit be in charge.
