Study Topic: Dealing with Demonic Gates
Psalm 25:7-10: “7. Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. 8. Who is this King of Glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle. 9. Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. 10. Who is this King of Glory? The Lord of Hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah” (KJV). There is a mention of gates in the scriptures in several places. However, there are some places where they are mentioned that make a lot of meaning to us. For example, in Genesis 22:17: the Bible states “…thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies”. Likewise, in Psalm 107:16: "...for He hath broken the gates of brass” and Matthew 16:18: The Bible says “…….the gate of hell shall not prevail.” Gates are very significant in the spirit realm. A gate is a point of entry to a space enclosed by walls. Spiritually, it is the meeting place of spirits and men. It is an assembly ground where decisions and deliberations are made, where information is passed, and action is taken. It is a place of satanic assembly, a house of satanic parliament where wickedness and destruction are planned and the devil assembles his demons and territorial powers for wicked purposes. It also regulates entrance and exit into and out of a city. A gate in a city determines what time people can go in and out. A gate is the totality of the government and socio-economic life of a city.
There exist demonic gates or doors upon the face of the earth. These are the roads through which the demonic enters into the lives of people. The following are some of the demonic gates that allow us to be plundered by these spirits.
a. The eye gates lead to sin of failure to change, idols in the home, occult and idolatry, watching po*******hy.
b. The Mouth gates make for foolish talk, smoking and ingestion of illicit drugs, lack of confession of sin, failure to pray, failure to keep to our vows, not bridling our tongues; talking foul language etc.
c. The soul gates lead to emotional issues like bitterness, resentment, forgiveness, rejection, soul ties, failure to repent, living a careless Christian life, having a defiled conscience and feeding the flesh etc. Beloved, as children of God, we must be very careful of the things we allow in our lives. otherwise, we shall be opening ourselves to demonic pollution via the gates that are in our natural lives. We have eyes, ears, mouth, and emotions as human beings. We must, as a matter of urgency, saturate our lives with godly thoughts, watch godly movies, listen to godly music and messages, or else we shall give demons footholds over our lives. We need to close demonic gates by taking deliberate actions to guide ourselves from pollution. Demons are everywhere looking for souls to possess. Live godly, and you shall be filled with the Spirit God. May the Lord grant us more understanding of His word in the name of Jesus.

Study Topic: The Lord Always Rewards the Righteous
Psalm 34:19-21: "19. Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivers him out of them all. 20. He keepeth all his bones: not one of them is broken. 21. Evil shall slay the wicked: and they that hate the righteous shall be desolate" (KJV). The Lord and Master Jesus Christ said in Matthew 5:10-11 says: "10. Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 11. Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake" (KJV). Many Christians today can not stand persecution for the sake of the kingdom. Because of the prosperity message and the "all must go well" gospel. I see Christians say clearly things that have no basis in scriptures. When the Apostle Paul was speaking in 2nd Corinthians 12:1-12. He spoke about the kind of revelations God has given him, but yet he said he will not glory in this, but rather he will glory in the things he suffered for the kingdom sake. He outlined the things he suffered for Christ in 2 Corinthians 12:10"Therefore I take pleasure in the infirmities, in reproaches,in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am strong" (KJV). The Apostle Paul, while admonishing Timothy in 2 Timothy 4:6-7 he said:"6. For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. 7. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith (KJV). In 2nd Timothy 2:3 we are told:"Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good solider of Christ (KJV). The Christian race is a war. The forces of darkness will do anything to derail one's commitment to God and make one fail. They will throw everything they have at you - delay, frustration, lack, etc. When you live, holy people will talk; they will attempt to bring you down. Joseph in Genesis 39 was living holy, then Portiphar's wife came along, when he resisted her, she set him up and he was sent to prison. But because he endured that persecution, he ended up becoming the Prime Minister of Egypt. Beloved, living holy and righteous could bring hatred and persecution your way, but if you stand for Christ, you shall earn a reward, either in this world or in heaven. Please endure for Christ, and the Lord shall reward you for it. May the Lord grant us more understanding of His word in the name of Jesus.

Study Topic: It Is Importance To Have A Prayer Life
Luke 18:1: “And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint” (KJV). There is one area where many Christians are failing, and this is in the area of prayer. Many are preoccupied with their jobs , and they have very little time to pray. This is a very bad situation and the reason why many children of God have not seen His “Almightiness” in their lives. The word “prayer” is derived from the Latin word “precari” which means “to ask earnestly, to beg, entreat or plead.” It is an invocation or act that seeks to activate a rapport with an object of worship through deliberate communication. Prayer may involve the use of words, song, or complete silence. There are different forms of prayer that there are: petitionary prayer, prayers of supplication, thanksgiving, and praise. It is important to say that people pray for many reasons such as personal benefit, asking for divine grace, spiritual connection, or for the sake of others. In Luke 18, the Lord and Master Jesus Christ told the story of a widow that, through her consistent asking, got a wicked judge to grant her request. In that story, the Lord Jesus Christ underscored the importance of persistence and consistency in prayers. In 1st, Thessalonians 5:16-22 were told: “16 Rejoice evermore. 17 Pray without ceasing. 18 In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. 19 Quench, not the Spirit. 20 Despise not prophesyings. 21 Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. 22 Abstain from all appearance of evil” (KJV). The Bible tells us that we can not pray by our own strength. We need the help of the Holy Spirit. As we see in Romans 8:26-27: “26. Likewise, the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which can not be uttered. 27. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God” (KJV). The reason why many find it difficult to pray is because they are not connected with the Holy Spirit. It is the Holy Spirit that helps us to pray as we should. The Bible in Proverbs 15:29 tells us why many people’s prayers are not answered: “The Lord is far from the wicked: but he heareth the prayer of the righteous” (KJV). Likewise we are told in John 9:31: “Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth” (KJV). Aside from sin, another thing that makes our prayers not to be answered in praying the wrong prayer points, that is asking outside the will or counsel of the Lord. The Bible in James 4:3 says: “Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts” (KJV). Imagine a person praying that someone’s wife should die because she wants to marry the person. This is not a pray God will answer. We must pray scriptures and through the help of the Holy Spirit if we are to receive answers to our prayers. When we ask aright, we must also know that many a times we need to dig deeper in prayers as the Bible in Matthew 7:7-8 tells us: “7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: 8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened” (KJV). One time asking might not bring the answer, we must be persistent and take our prayers to a higher level, should we want to see answers to our prayers. May the Lord grant us more understanding of His word in the name of Jesus.

Study Topic: Putting into Practice the word of God is what makes us His Children Indeed
James 1:22: "But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves" (KJV). The Lord and Master Jesus Christ said in Matthew 7:24-27: "24.Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: 25.And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. 26.And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: 27.And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it"(KJV). The Lord and Master Jesus Christ in Matthew 7:24-27 taught us about the need not just to hear His word but to keep them by practically doing what they say. Many Christians are "paper tigers" when it comes to the word of God. They have the word of God in their head and not in their heart, so when the devil comes with his tricks, they fall like a pack of cards. In Matthew 4:1-11 talking about the temptation of our Lord and Master Jesus Christ, the devil came with twisted interpretation of scriptures, and Christ defeated the devil by His knowledge of the word of God. Learning about the word of God and studying the Bible is not for us to acquire head knowledge to display how much Bible verses we can cram and recite. It is about our knowing what the Lord and Master demands of us and doing them. Beloved, I have found many Christians who quote scriptures like professors, but when the devil allows a situation to try their faith, they fall flat to the ground. The study of the word of God is to mature us in the knowledge of God. To help us understand how God works and what He demands of us in every situation. It is about us having the stamina to withstand the devil and the power to confront every situation. It is about our ability to have the capacity to navigate the murky waters of life. Many Christians deny the Lord in their deeds once a little temptation comes their way. They go looking for a solution to receive healing from ungodly sources if it seems the Lord is delaying to heal them. Many go to native doctors and diviners to have solutions, yet they are active in church. Beloved, the knowledge of God that we acquire is to make us strong and help us stand against whatsoever the devil might throw our way. When we put it into practice, we activate the power thereof. May the Lord grant us more understanding of His word in the name of Jesus.

Study Topic: The Presence of The Fruits of The Spirit Is What Confirms The Presence of The Holy Spirit
Galatians 5:22-23: "22.But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23.Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law" (KJV). It is pertinent to say that it is the presence of the Fruits of the Spirit in a person is what confirms the presence of the Holy Spirit. " The Bible in Colossians 3:12-13 states: "12. Put on, therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; 13. Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye" (KJV). Several Christians seem to be confused as to how to detect if a person truly has the Holy Spirit. The inability to properly discern this has led to several people falling into the wrong hands. It is a commonly held belief that if a person "speaks in tongue," such a person carries the Holy Spirit. Little do you wonder why you see people speaking in tongues and yet committing sexual sin. Do you in your heart of hearts believe that such persons carry the Holy Spirit? Of course, there is a problem. Some believe it is by expressing gifts of prophecy, healing, or revelation. While this is indicative, it does not as well confirm that a person carries the Holy Spirit, as the devil can be the source of such stuff. The primary way to know if a person carries the Holy Spirit is in the person's lifestyle. A person who carries the Holy Spirit will hate sin. Such a person will exhibit the "Christ-like lifestyle." The person shall display all the qualities that are contained in Galatians 5:22-23. The person shall exhibit all of these fruits of the spirit. It is the display of these fruits that confirms the presence of the Holy Spirit in a man's life and nothing more. When a person displays these fruits, ths gift of speaking in tongues, prophecy, word of knowledge, revelation, healing, etc. will then follow. It is the lifestyle of people that confirms the presence of the Holy Spirit and not their display of gifts. A display of the gifts without the lifestyle is indicative that the person does not have the Holy Spirit of God. May the Lord grant us more understanding of His word in the name of Jesus.
